Revealed: Reason Man United target snubbed Ruben Amorim's side - as £34m-rated rising star 'favours move to Italian giants'
Manchester United are among the clubs to have reportedly been snubbed by Swiss international Ardon Jashari with the rising star expected to move this summer.
The Club Brugge midfielder, who has earned two caps to date, is claimed to have attracted interest from multiple clubs across Europe.
It follows the 22-year-old being crowned Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year in last season's Belgian Pro League.
Jashari played 52 times in all competitions last season, largely as a defensive midfielder, but also chipped in with four goals and six assists.
Belgian outlet HLN reported that Man City, West Ham, Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, PSG and Napoli are among the clubs to have expressed an interest in Jashari.
The midfielder, however, has reportedly turned down interest from Fulham and Man United.
Jashari is claimed to have informed Fulham he was aiming higher than a mid-table Premier League side.
His rejection of Ruben Amorim's Man United was reportedly due to him considering the club to be unstable following a nightmare season for the club.
The Red Devils ended last season in 15th place, their lowest position in the Premier League era, while they were also beaten by Tottenham in the Europa League final.
According to HLN, Jashari had initially been keen on a move to Borussia Dortmund before the Bundesliga side opted to sign Jobe Bellingham for £32million.
AC Milan are now claimed to be leading the hunt for his signature, with Club Brugge demanding a £34million fee.
The Italian giants, who finished eighth in Serie A last season, had previously signed Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge for £25million back in 2022.

Aston Villa ‘do a Chelsea' with sneaky trick to avoid breaching PSR rules just hours before deadline
ASTON VILLA are nearing a £55m deal that would see their women's team sold to the club's own parent company. The club hopes the sale will offset recent losses in order to help them comply with PSR rules. 2 Villa are also in talks to sell a 10 percent stake in the women's team to American investors for £5.5m, according to The Telegraph. The Premier League requires that fees paid for internal assets are reasonable, with the sale price of the minority stake driving the overall team's valuation of around £60m. The Midlands club would be able to sell the remaining 90 percent stake to their own parent company, V Sports, and put the proceeds towards their 2024-25 accounts. V Sports is co-owned by American Wes Edens and Egyptian Nassef Sawiris, with the pair having taken the reins at Villa Park in 2021. Chelsea used a similar trick to avoid falling foul of PSR last year, when they sold their women's team to parent company BlueCo. The Blues pocketed close to £200m in that deal, just months after selling an eight percent stake in the women's team to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian. The West-London outfit have been on a relentless spending spree since American Investor Todd Boehly took over in May of 2022, but have so far escaped breaching PSR. Villa have not spent so freely in the transfer market, but, despite their recent European campaigns, have still found themselves having to resort to sneaky tactics and reductions in player costs to stay within financial regulations. Similar accounting measures are being considered for the club's new events space 'The Warehouse.' JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS 2 The space could be valued at around £50m - despite it not being planned to open until December 2025. Losses of over £105m over the last three seasons would put The Villans in PSR hot water, but the club are 'confident' that they will remain within the regulations come the deadline. The PSR accounting deadline is Monday the 30th June, however, the club could still include the sales in their 2024-25 accounts provided the sale was agreed in principle before the deadline.

Oliver Tarvet savours maiden first-round Wimbledon victory
The St. Albans star made the perfect start to his first-ever Grand Slam after defeating Switzerland's Leandro Riedi 6-4 6-4 6-4 to advance to the second round. It puts a bow on a memorable few weeks for the British qualifier, after he became the first British man to progress through three rounds of qualifying and reach the main draw since 2017. 'It's a dream come true,' said Tarvet. 'As a little kid, it's what you always kind of work towards. 'It was just really special this morning. I had a lot of adrenaline and a decent amount of nerves but I did a really good job of not letting the moment get too big and focussing on what's important to me and gives me success. 'I was trying to take it all in but at the same time, I have got a match to play and a job to do. I thought I did a good job kind of focussing on what's important. 'Obviously, now I can appreciate it a little bit more and let it sink in. 'Today was pretty funny because I would hear this voice that would be familiar. I'd quickly give a glance and it would be my old coach when I was 10 or 11 or my old friend when I was just young or an old player that I played when I was a little kid. 'It was nice seeing these familiar faces coming out to support me. It gave me a lot of energy and a lot of motivation to go out there and win.' Nearly 200 places separated Tarvet from Riedi in the world rankings but that made no difference on court, with Tarvet comfortably clinching a straight sets success over the Swiss in front of boisterous home support. Victory has thrust the 21-year-old into the limelight, with a potential scond round tie against reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz a potential reward. But Tarvet has never been one to be star-struck, expressing full conviction that his brand of tennis can cause a sensational upset. 'For it to happen so suddenly has been really special,' added Tarvet. 'You never know what can happen in tennis. If I do play him, I feel like nothing has changed. I've come here and not really set myself any expectations. 'I'm quietly confident that I can win against anyone. Alcaraz isn't an exception to that. Obviously, he's done an incredible amount in the tennis world. He's a difficult guy not to respect but I'll just go out there and try and treat it like another match. 'At the end of the day, I try and play the ball, not the player.'
