LeBron James unveils latest 'addiction' after NBA trade talks died down
James, who is set to enter his 23rd season in the NBA, is committed to playing out his contract for the Los Angeles Lakers.
By living in the LA weather, James now has the ability to pursue a new 'addiction' full time: golfing.
The four-time MVP has been spotted throughout the summer enjoying some time on the links and in a video he posted to his social media, he admits that he can't stop.
'Addicted. I'm sorry. I know, yep, that's it. Yep. Rain and everything,' James said on his Instagram story as water fell from the sky around him.
It's not clear what sparked James' recent fascination with the sport, but the 40-year-old is in good company.

Other NBA greats like Michael Jordan and Steph Curry became prolific golfers during their playing days.
Curry even mocked LeBron for his swing once - even going so far as to impersonate James on-course at the American Century Championship celebrity tournament in Lake Tahoe.
'Rookie hazing,' Curry called it. 'He got his first few swings out there. I talked to him last week and he told me how much fun he had.
'You know, there's something to work with that swing, though. That's kind of what I was going for. He's got good bones and a good foundation, and if he spends a little bit of time practicing, a little bit of coaching, he's got potential for sure. So, I'm excited to see it.'
While James is working on getting into the sport now, many fear that he's approaching the end of his career in the sport he'd dominated in for over two decades.
It was rumored that James was looking to depart the Lakers - with Cleveland, Dallas, and Golden State as potential destinations.
But, nothing has materialized and James seems happy to ride out his final days with the Lakers.

August 11 - Ameer Abdullah's stay on the San Francisco 49ers' active roster was brief as the veteran running back was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Monday after a rib issue sustained in Saturday's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos. The 49ers, who signed Abdullah on July 31, inked running back Jeff Wilson Jr. and defensive lineman Trevis Gipson to one-year contracts on Monday. The team cut quarterback Tanner Mordecai and activated offensive lineman Andre Dillard from the physically unable to perform list. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday that rookie wide receiver Jordan Watkins is expected to be out about a month due to a high ankle sprain and that former starting receiver Brandon Aiyuk (ACL) is estimated to return around Week 6 of the regular season, though the situation could change. Watkins, 23, was a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Aiyuk, 27, is battling back from a serious right knee injury that included tears to the ACL and MCL.
