CCPO Christmas gift appeal for guards kicks off
THE annual CCPO Christmas Gift Appeal has officially kicked off, with longtime organiser Reena Solomon once again calling on Amanzimtoti residents to show their appreciation for the dedicated security personnel who help keep the community safe. Also read: Christmas Gift Appeal wows Amanzimtoti crime-fighters Now in its 11th year, the campaign aims to raise funds for festive gift cards for the Community Crime Prevention Organisation's (CCPO) supervisors, guards, and foot patrollers. These individuals work around the clock throughout the year, often under difficult and dangerous conditions, to protect residents and businesses in the area. 'It's that time of year again. Every year, I ask the community to assist in making Christmas extra special for our hardworking CCPO team. They go the extra mile, come rain or shine, and deserve a gesture of thanks from all of us,' said Solomon. Although Christmas is still months away, Solomon has launched the drive early to give donors more time to contribute in smaller amounts, easing the financial burden. She hopes to gift each CCPO member a Galleria Mall shopping voucher, allowing them to spoil their own families during the festive season. 'No donation is too small. Every bit counts. Let's show our gratitude and support to those who sacrifice so much for our safety,' she said. All donations collected will go directly toward purchasing the gift cards. Banking details for contributions: Account name: R. Solomon Bank: Nedbank Account number: 1306094763 Account type: Current Branch code: 198767 Reference: Your name/Christmas.
