Erie SeaWolves staff excited for rebranding courtesy of Last Week Tonight
The selection was announced during a segment on minor league baseball, where Oliver highlighted the creativity and fun promotions associated with these teams. The SeaWolves were one of 47 teams that submitted for the rebranding process.
John Oliver, HBO's late-night host, to give Erie SeaWolves a complete rebrand
'I honestly thought I would find out in an email first, but basically finding out via television was pretty surprising,' said Greg Coleman, President of Erie SeaWolves Baseball.
Coleman said he was surprised to learn about the team's selection for rebranding through John Oliver's television announcement. However, the rebranding comes with a catch: The SeaWolves will have no input in the process, as it will be handled entirely by the show's creative team.
Coleman noted that the current team name and mascot are not particularly creative, suggesting room for improvement. Christy Buchar, Director of Merchandise for the Erie SeaWolves, expressed enthusiasm about the potential for new merchandise that will coordinate with the new branding. She hopes to sell both current and new merchandise to fans.

Dan Quinn singles out these two Commanders' offensive linemen
An offensive line has to work together so much. There is timing, knowledge, and communication that are all needed. Washington Commanders right guard Sam Cosmi has not yet been able to work back with the first-team unit, as he recovers from a torn ACL in the playoff win at Detroit in January. But also, left guard Brandon Coleman has been missing time. The second-year player out of TCU started most of 2024 at left tackle, and this year is being asked to transition inside to left guard. Last season, during training camp, he injured a pectoral muscle that set him back a couple of weeks. Later, during the regular season, Coleman suffered a nagging injury to his knee that slowed him some, but he was able to continue in the starting lineup. Two weeks ago, during a Saturday practice, Coleman limped off the field with an apparent foot injury. He has missed time, yet head coach Dan Quinn has said he does not believe Coleman's injury is severe. Quinn was asked if he was concerned Coleman had missed valuable reps with Laremy Tunsil, the new left tackle on the Commanders' line. "Yes, you always want that to happen (reps together as a unit) 100 percent, no doubt about it," Quinn said. "It was nice to see him participating today in our early morning walk-through. So, to see him getting closer, I'm pleased about that because no one wants anyone to miss. I know it happens, and I try to think about the things I can control and not worry about the things I can't control. We just try to do the best we can in that space." Quinn then offered that Nick Allegretti, filling in for Cosmi at right guard, has a great attitude and is thus a leader on the offensive line and also on the team. Quinn assured the press that Allegretti has always been that way, displaying a willingness to move and play wherever he is needed on the line to help the team. John Oliver Knows What Song He Wants Played at Trump's Funeral: ‘You Can Throw a Bluetooth Speaker Pretty Far!'
Yes, it comes from one of the White House's videos bragging about detaining people John Oliver found a bright spot amongst the 'disgusting' videos the White House keeps posting to tout the number of people they are detaining: a song for the president's eventual funeral playlist. The HBO host's main segment on Sunday's 'Last Week Tonight' focused on immigration enforcement. He immediately called out the administration for gleefully bragging online by posting memes of Trump officials as 'South Park' characters (despite saying the show is 'irrelevant') and the 'Teletubbies' sun, in addition to videos of detainees being marched away, backed by the song 'Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.' More from TheWrap 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Reboot Taps Chase Sui Wonders as Guest Star Dean Cain Claps Back at John Oliver's ICE Membership Drag, Claims He Stole That 'Mask' Joke Jason Momoa Remembers When He Almost Died Surfing in Hawaii: 'I Literally Gave Up' | Video William H. Macy Boards Dan Fogelman's Hulu NFL Drama Series 'Look, we all know this, but sometimes, it is worth reiterating: this White House is full of the pettiest little bitches imaginable,' Oliver sniped. 'And while that video is obviously disgusting, on the plus side, I now know what song I want played at Trump's funeral.' 'I know it will be hard to get in, but you can throw a Bluetooth speaker pretty far!' he continued. Among the videos and memes that officials have posted is one from a regional Border Patrol office, which shared the scene of Darth Vader violently murdering multiple people in 'Rogue One' as a celebration of its agents in Southern California's premier sector. In it, Vader is labeled as the premier sector, and each person he murders is labeled various other organizations, like cartels and more. Naturally, Oliver tore into it. 'OK, if I may quote an insufferable man on a first Bumble date, have you ever seen 'Star Wars?'' he joked. 'Because that's pretty famously the bad guy. Imagine how morally bankrupt you have to be to watch the most famous villain in cinematic history murdering a bunch of people, some of whom are literally begging for help, and think 'He is so us!'' Later in the show, the comedian revealed that the Department of Homeland Security actually responded to an inquiry about that video, which he mocked even further. That's because their defense was pointing out that Vader used to be Anakin Skywalker, arguing that DHS doesn't need to 'regale the American public on the heroism of Skywalker.' 'Which is just an incredible, deeply s–tty response,' Oliver said. 'I'd honestly love to know their disingenuous takes on other movie villains. 'Actually, if you think about it, Thanos was the real hero of the Avengers movies, because, as any Marvel fan knows, Thanos used to be a baby, and babies aren't evil!'' You can watch John Oliver's main segment in the video above. Where LSU football WR Aaron Anderson ranks among returning SEC receivers
LSU football lost four of its top five pass catchers from the 2024 squad, but it returns leading receiver Aaron Anderson after the speedster enjoyed a breakout campaign last fall. Anderson caught 61 passes for 874 yards and five scores. That puts Anderson tied for No. 2 among returning SEC wideouts. The only returning SEC wide receiver with more yards than Anderson last fall is Missouri's Kevin Coleman (Coleman spent 2024 at Mississippi State). With Anderson at No. 2 is Ole Miss WR Cayden Lee. Anderson's 61 receptions rank No. 2 among the group, behind Coleman's 74 catches. Anderson is firmly established as one of the top receivers in the SEC. And LSU is optimistic about Anderson taking yet another step in 2025. LSU brought in transfers at the wide receiver position, but Anderson has the clearest path to being Garrett Nussmeier's top target. With LSU's offense expected to be prolific, if Anderson is LSU's leading receiver again, he'll likely be All-SEC with an All-American ceiling. Which returning SEC wide receivers were the most productive in 2024?
