Swindon Town's manager, Ian Holloway went under the knife recently to remove a cancerous growth beneath his eye.
Holloway was still on the touchline for Town's final game of the season, a 1-1 draw with MK Dons, despite the recent surgery.
Many fans may have noticed the scarring on the right side of his face where the growth was removed, which he admitted makes him look like he "had a fight with a bear".
In an interview with The Sun, the Swindon manager opened up about his battles with skin cancer, saying: "I am getting all sorts of bit and pieces falling off me.
"You can see it, but I used to go out in the sun, I get skin cancer problems.
"My advice to anybody is please don't do it. Don't let your kids get burnt. Don't go out there if you've got fair skin like I have.
"Put [Factor] 50 on, keep covered, because I can't do anything about these bits, and I've got a huge scar on the right-hand side of my face now.
"Luckily they cut it out and they're sending it off to see. There'll probably be more bits of me in a jar somewhere than there is sat here."
Fortunately, Holloway was there to see out his side's season, and will be hoping to build on the progress the club has made on the pitch going into next season.
When Holloway was first appointed as the new main man in the dugout in October 2024, Swindon were sitting just above the drop zone in 22nd place, four points being the gap.
In his first full game as manager, he led the Robins to a 2-1 win at the County Ground against Colchester in the FA Cup first round.
Fast forward to May and Holloway turned the team from relegation fodder to play-off hopefuls.
Although, they fell short and finished in mid-table, Holloway impressed as the boss and made football exciting for fans again at the County Ground.
After the final game, Swindon Town's X account posted photos of Holloway with the caption: "Speedy recovery, Gaffer".
Fans showed their support in the replies with one account saying, "All the best Ollie, Still remember as a kid when I would wait for my mate at the King George and you would always give us a thumbs up on matchdays when you drove past & when you offered us a lift to the ground".
Another said: "As a Donny fan, just wanted to wish Ollie all the best, thought he did an incredible job last season."

Frank, Iraola or Silva? Contenders to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou has been sacked by Tottenham. Postecoglou delivered Spurs' first trophy in 17 years with Europa League success over Manchester United in Bilbao, but it failed to stop chairman Daniel Levy dismissing the Australian. Advertisement Here, the PA news agency takes a look at candidates to replace Postecoglou, who presided over a 17th-placed Premier League finish last season. Thomas Frank Thomas Frank has a fine body of work behind him after he guided Brentford to promotion in 2021, while he has developed the likes of Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo during seven years in west London. Happy to mix pragmatism and a direct style of play with attacking intent, the 51-year-old was rumoured to be on Manchester United's shortlist last summer and continues to be linked with top-six vacancies. Tottenham's current technical director Johan Lange reportedly wanted to bring Frank to Aston Villa in 2022. Andoni Iraola Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola (Steven Paston/PA) Bournemouth's decision to replace Gary O'Neil with Andoni Iraola in the summer of 2023 sparked criticism, but the Spaniard has been a resounding success. Last season saw the Cherries equal their best wins total in the Premier League and achieve a record points tally in the top flight. Iraola has kicked on again this term with more free-flowing football to earn an FA Cup quarter-final spot and push the club into European contention, but would he leave the south coast for north London like another coach did 11 years ago? Marco Silva Another Premier League manager with a strong CV and knowhow for what it takes to thrive in English football, Marco Silva had Fulham in the battle for Europe after they also reached the last eight of the FA Cup for a second year in a row. A disappointing spell at Everton hangs over the Portuguese, who continues to be mooted for significant managerial roles around the globe. Oliver Glasner Oliver Glasner was one of several coaches linked to Spurs in the summer of 2023, but no move materialised and he ended up at Crystal Palace where he has continued his cup pedigree with a historic FA Cup triumph – the club's first major trophy. Glasner, who won the Europa League with Frankfurt three years ago, prefers to use a wing-back system but has delighted the Selhurst Park faithful and helped bring out the best of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze. Mauricio Pochettino The most successful period of Daniel Levy's lengthy spell as Spurs chairman occurred when Mauricio Pochettino was head coach. Pochettino turned Tottenham into top-four regulars and masterminded a remarkable Champions League runner-up spot in 2019 before his dismissal later in the same year. Currently in charge of the United States, Pochettino in March again spoke of his desire to 'one day' manage his old club, but would he quit his national-team role before a home World Cup?

Crystal Palace open contract talks with Jean-Philippe Mateta
Crystal Palace have initiated contract negotiations with striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, according to BBC Sport. The 27-year-old Frenchman, whose current deal runs until June 2027 following a recent 12-month extension, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Olympique Marseille this summer. Advertisement Mateta enjoyed a standout 2024–25 season, netting 17 goals and playing a pivotal role in Palace's historic FA Cup triumph—the club's first trophy in just over three decades. With Palace set to compete in the UEFA Europa League next season as a result of the aforementioned cup triumph, the Eagles are looking to tie down their first-choice striker. Palace are aiming to build a competitive squad capable of maintaining momentum next season, and keeping Mateta is central to that plan. Talks between the club and the player's representatives are believed to be progressing positively despite Mateta reportedly seeking a salary bump to around £90,000 per week, which would put him on par with Palace's highest earners. Advertisement Mateta's journey at Palace has been far from straightforward. Initially signed on loan from Mainz in January 2021, his early time in South London was marked by inconsistent performances and limited minutes under former managers. Since Oliver Glasner's appointment in February 2024, the Frenchman has flourished, thriving under a more structured and attack-minded approach. With a strong physical presence, sharp positioning, and vastly improved finishing, Mateta has become almost indispensable for Palace. His partnership with Eberechi Eze and Ismaila Sarr has been key to the team's attacking identity. However, Mateta ended the last campaign without a goal in any of his last six games across all competitions and will be keen to get back on the scoresheet in Palace's pre-season tour.
