Will Andile Mpisane play for mom's new club? MaMkhize responds
Last week, the businesswoman officially signed a three-year presidency deal with the eSwatini soccer club.
This news comes months after SARS seized her South African team, Royal AM, to pay off her R40 million debt.
Although the club includes the initials of his name – AM, or Andile Mpisane – his mother, MaMkhize, revealed that her son would take a step back.
Speaking to Andile Ncube on Metro FM, the controversial businesswoman said: 'He wants to be in the management space now.
'I don't see him going there [to eSwatini], but he enjoys being in the business side of things.'
When asked if Andile Mpisane had hung up his soccer boots, his mother responded, 'I don't know, but for now, I think so. Will Andile Mpisane play for his mom MaMkhize's new football club? Images via Instagram: @kwa_mamkhize
'Because even when Royal AM was there, he was starting to learn the administrative part of it.
'I think all that he wanted was to play in the elite league – which he did, he tasted that'
With his football career likely over, Andile Mpisane will likely focus his attention on his budding music career or his hobby of collecting luxury cars.
The 24-year-old is known for his expensive taste in cars and clothes, and posts bragging about his soccer skills.

Orlando Pirates transfer news: Moloisane, Ndah, Mofokeng, Rhodes
Orlando Pirates are not done signing players this transfer window, it seems. The Buccaneers have already brought in 11 new players ahead of the 2025/26 season. Under new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, Pirates will look to build from last season and take the fight to Mamelodi Sundowns. With the MTN8 kicking off in two weeks, Pirates will hope that their pre-season has prepared them for the new season. According to Soccer Laduma , the Soweto giants are in pursuit of Stellenbosch star Thabo Moloisane. Despite having more than five centre backs, the Buccaneers are looking to add more in defence in case of injuries. 'It's believed to be an ongoing process. It's one player at a time and if you look at the players signed so far, there are no central defenders, and apparently that's why it's believed that the club are still pursuing Thabo Moloisane. The club scouts and recruiters are believed to have been following his progress for some time now,' the insider told Soccer Laduma. If Orlando Pirates sign Moloisane this transfer season, what does that mean for Olisah Ndah? He hasn't kicked a ball since May last year. Jaedin Rhodes has been a player who has been linked not only to Pirates but Kaizer Chiefs as well. The talented midfielder is on his way out of Cape Town City and is set to move to Gauteng in the coming days, It remains to be seen if the Buccaneers can make another surprise signing. With seven players having left Orlando Pirates, there's one player who has always been destined to leave this transfer window. That player is Relebohile Mofokeng. The talented winger has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia but it remains to be seen if he'll move to the Middle East or Europe. Kaizer Chiefs news: Winger, number 10 and fixtures
As reported in June, Kaizer Chiefs believed they had secured both players as free agents. However, Cape Town Spurs are adamant the duo is still under contract and have demanded their return to training. Following Spurs' dramatic relegation from the Motsepe Foundation Championship (second tier) to the ABC Motsepe (third tier), Kaizer Chiefs followed the PSL's rulebook, which states that relegation to the third tier makes player contracts null and void. However, Spurs maintain that professional contracts still apply, leading to the current standoff over the talented winger and attacking midfielder. 'Kaizer Chiefs bigger than Bafana' says Italian brand boss
Kaizer Chiefs supporters are beyond delighted. Ricky Joseph, the head of Kappa South Africa, has made a bold claim that has stirred serious debate in local football circles. Amakhosi, he said, are not only the biggest club in Africa, but are even bigger than the South African national team, Bafana Bafana. The boss of Italy's legendary sports brand, Kappa, made the statement during the launch of the latest club jersey for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. According to the Kappa SA leader, the Amakhosi fanbase deserves admiration for its loyalty and sheer scale. Josephs believes the Soweto giants' influence reaches beyond football and into the very fabric of South African identity. Surprisingly, the comments arrived soon after Bafana Bafana renewed public support following their semi-final finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. However, Joseph believes Kaizer Chiefs' cultural and commercial reach exceeds even that of the national side. Kaizer Chiefs, despite recent struggles on the field, continue to dominate when it comes to brand power, shirt sales, and fan engagement. With millions of supporters across the country and beyond, Joseph insists the club's influence is simply unmatched.
