Slater Nalley thanks his fans and looks ahead to what's next after American Idol
He made it to the top five. After the show aired, he took to social media to thank his fans.
Nalley put his own spin on 'You've Got A Friend in Me', the main theme from Toy Story on Monday's Disney-themed night.
The judges loved and continued to praise the young singer's talent. His performance on Monday was the first on the show without his cherished guitar.
But in the end, it wasn't enough as he didn't make it into the top three.

After the live telecast on Channel 2, he posted on his Instagram page and said it's not over for him.
'Hey y'all, I just want to come here and say thank you, thank you so much for everything. I cannot believe I've made it this far already,' he said, speaking into the camera with a smile.
'American Idol, thank you for giving me this opportunity and the fans, thank you so much for bringing me such joy, so much joy, getting me this far. I never thought I'd make it this far. I really just appreciate you all, so grateful for this,' he said in the video.
He will return for the finale and says he will vote for the next American Idol.

The Unfiltered Sibling Bond The Instagram clip, which Ferguson said she recorded because she thought it was funny, shows the love and protectiveness her sons feel for their new sibling. They've fully embraced their role as big brothers. "They've loved [being big brothers]," Ferguson said, adding that her oldest son initially joked that if the baby cried, he'd move to his grandmother's house. So far, though, he has stayed—and now, even at four months old, the baby "lights up when they walk in the room, and just loves them back so much," Ferguson said. The boys are eager to be involved in the baby's life at every twist and turn. "They're big helpers without me even asking," Ferguson said. "They want to be part of all his firsts: first time in the pool, first smiles, first get just as excited as my husband or I do, which has been so cute to watch." A Love Born from Heartbreak The sibling bond between the boys and their new brother is even more special because of the journey they went on to have him. "The excitement and 'arguing' over the baby come completely from a place of love," Ferguson said, "but it's even more special because my boys have been part of this journey from the start. When I say they love this baby, it's even deeper than it looks." The boys were aware of each pregnancy loss the family experienced along the way. During the final pregnancy, they were also there for the ultrasound with their parents. "They waited alongside us," Ferguson explained. "They were anxious during the pregnancy because of the losses, asking things like 'Is he still alive?' or 'Do you think he's going to be born?' That history makes this little boy feel even more special to all of us." The fun visual is loaded with a ton of star power, featuring cameos from singer Willow Smith, actresses Ayo Edibiri, Lauren London, and the breathtakingly beautiful Nia Long, who proves that Black certainly does not crack! The fun and colorful video follows Tyler as he gives his heart away to a few beautiful women. It kicks off with the Cali native riding around the city with Long, 54, as they get a little cozy in the back of a limo. At one point, the Hollywood veteran—who dons sleek straight hair, flawless skin, and fashionable glasses—pulls the rapper in close, seemingly about to plant a kiss on his cheek, but instead, sticks out her tongue and gives the 34-year-old hip-hop star a playful lick. The moment took social media users by surprise across YouTube and Instagram.
