Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) in North Al Sharqiyah, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, have arrested two housemaids of African nationality for their involvement in a violent robbery against a housewife in the Wilayat of Al Qabil. According to the authorities, the suspects assaulted the victim inside her home using bladed weapons, restrained her, and stole gold jewelry, cash, and her mobile phone. Following intensive investigations, the two women were tracked down and later apprehended in the Wilayat of Al Seeb. Police also confirmed the arrest of three other individuals of different nationalities who were involved in transporting the suspects and assisting in disposing of the stolen items at undisclosed locations. The Royal Oman Police stated that legal procedures are currently being completed against all those involved.
