GTA 6 release date is getting closer with the official details revealed and here's a look at the expected GTA 6 price in India and more.
GTA 6 release date is still quite far away with Rockstar Games delaying its launch to May 2026 but the excitement around the new GTA franchise edition is high. Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to be one of the most ambitious games ever made and will revolutionise open-world gaming with its large setting, two protagonists, and improved gameplay mechanics.
The first trailer, which debuted in December 2023, revealed the main characters, Jason and Lucia, and confirmed the return to Vice City. And more details about the game's plot, gameplay, and new features have been revealed with the latest GTA 6 trailers.
The popular GTA franchise was highly expected to get the new version at least before the end of 2025 but the game developer shared the bad news for the excited gamers recently. GTA 6 is now confirmed to release on May 26, 2026, as informed by the game developer.
GTA 6 release in India could align with the global availability. GTA 6 price in India will be higher than last versions due to its high development and production expenditures. Special variants may cost up to Rs 7,299 or $100, while the basic edition is expected to cost around Rs 5,999 in India and $70 in the USA. Official details have not yet been verified; however, these editions might come with collectibles and exclusive in-game benefits.
GTA 6 gameplay will be based in Vice City and its environs, like marshes and rural regions, will be part of the game's expansive open-world map, which draws inspiration from Florida. Players may anticipate better physics, more advanced AI, and Lucia, the first female lead in the series, alongside Jason, the male lead.
GTA 6 attempts to provide a dynamic and engaging gaming experience with its updated Wanted system and more intelligent non-player characters (NPCs).
The GTA 6 PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will be the game's initial platforms, with a PC version anticipated later in the year.

Four days in, Coolie is sprinting ahead with record-breaking collections, while War 2 is playing catch-up, struggling to match the momentum both at home and overseas. Coolie vs War 2 box office collection in India Coolie has been performing strongly at the domestic box office with steady returns over the Independence Day weekend. It opened on a massive 5,000 screens nationwide—an aggressive release strategy by YRF, which positioned the film as a full-scale event, in contrast to many of their earlier films that expanded screen count gradually through positive word of mouth Coolie released across 1,980 screens in India and simultaneously in over 100 countries worldwide. Mounted on an estimated budget of Rs 350 crore, the Rajinikanth-starrer is already inching toward breakeven.

‘South stars are humble, simple as compared to Bollywood': Shruti Haasan says they have ‘higher level of awareness'

Actor Shruti Haasan is currently basking in the glory of her recent film Coolie, which has crossed Rs 200 crore domestically. Like many actors who transition to Bollywood after tasting success in the film spheres of the south, Shruti did the same, but her Hindi film journey was quite short-lived. In a recent interview, Shruti talked about the various unique things about the Tamil and Telugu film industries and how Bollywood is a very different place when it comes to the psychology of the individual working there. She told THR that people in the south, especially the bigger actors, are very concerned that if they don't remain humble, 'Saraswati ka haath sar se uth jayega' (Goddess Saraswati will withdraw her blessings). She commented on the importance of being humble and god-fearing and said, 'I mean, it's hard to talk about being pious or anything of that sort in my home because my father doesn't believe in anything of that sort. But when I started working, I noticed those small things, like having coconut in the morning or having a photo of a deity sitting in the corner. There were rules regarding what was and wasn't allowed on set, and the actor and their staff were always very aware of how they presented themselves. I found there to be a higher level of awareness and consciousness in the South, compared to when I worked in the Hindi film industry.'' ALSO READ: Farah Khan confirms cook Dilip gets paid extra for YouTube appearances, tells Shruti Haasan he gets a 'lot, more than everyone here put together' She explained her observations further and credited a completely different art form for making her humble and aware. 'I think it's just a South Indian thing to do; you know, many people who have a lot of money won't dress up very flashy. They will still have that old Ambassador car for many years. It's just the psychology of the place, and it's very important to realise that we are merely vessels for the art. We aren't a conduit of any kind; the conduit is a good film, a good script or even a good song. We just receive that art, and we are supposed to spread it outwards. 'Learning music very early in my life and working with people in close quarters for hours on end teaches you to just play your bits, to not try to surpass anyone else, and to be humble,' said Shruti. Talking about her stint in Hindi film, Shruti admitted that she hasn't been able to pinpoint exactly what went wrong and said, 'I really don't know why it didn't work. I went to the places where, whatever I wanted from a film, I got. But somehow the focus shifted, because I have always had enquiries from Hindi, and sometimes I didn't have the dates, or in some cases I made wrong decisions in films, which everybody suffers the price of. The Hindi film space is also very different now, and with OTT coming into play, I think I get offered a lot of things which I am more interested in, and I will do more of.' Shruti has worked in Hindi films such as Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013), Luck (2009) alongside Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt, and Behen Hogi Teri (2017) with Rajkummar Rao.

Michael Phelps Reacts WIth A ROFL Emoji As Toddler's Whistle Disrupts Swimming Race

Last Updated: The clip opens to a toddler, presumably sitting on one of his parents' lap, watching a swimming competition. Children throwing tantrums in public might be a common sight. Picture this: an infant crying unstoppably at a mall or a child creating a nuisance at a restaurant. At such times, it's the parents' responsibility to step in and handle the situation in a way that the public is not disturbed while also ensuring that the child feels understood. But sometimes negligence from parents allows such behaviour to spiral out of control. In a similar display of disruption, a video showcasing an infant blowing a toy whistle during a swimming competition, causing a false start and chaos, has sparked discussion on Instagram. The clip opens to a toddler, presumably sitting on one of his parents' lap, watching a swimming competition take place before him. The stadium is packed with spectators, eager for the game to begin once the whistle is blown. Infant Creates False Alarm By Blowing Whistle As the swimmers take their spot, the infant, holding a whistle of his own, suddenly blows into it unaware of the repercussions. The participant, thinking that the official start signal had been given, dived into the water, throwing the entire competition into confusion. The text layout read, 'My son accidentally ruined the swimmer's race. Absolute chaos." Internet Blames Infant's Actions To Parents The internet was left fuming by the video with many pointing out the lack of parenting. 'That kid has probably cost that swimmer a place in the competition and hurt his chances of further tournaments all because of the nonexistent parenting," commented a user sternly. Rationalising the situation, another quipped, 'I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the parent told the kid to do it. Or else why would they be filming the kid at that exact moment?" 'Why were they filming the kid with the toy?" asked an angry individual. 'It's not the kid. It's the parent giving the toy to the kid intentionally and making a content about it," wrote a critic. 'Why let your kid have one of those toys at that event? Bad parenting," read a harsh remark. 'Parents should be fined," commented one person. So far, the video has received over 8.6 million views.
