Mum Jasmine took to TikTok to share her disappointment with the accommodation at the Skegness holiday park.
Butlin's has apologised after a family checked in to a "grimy" and "damp" room which was "in need of a massive deep clean".

Mum Jasmine took to TikTok to share her disappointment with the accommodation at the Skegness holiday park.

Sharing clips of the filthy room with her 19,000 followers, she said: "I could make a 10-minute video on all of the issues in here but here's some of them."

Jasmine, who went on to give a tour of the room, added: "Even walking up to the room I felt grimy. This is the Butlin's comfort room. This is my sign to not blindly book something hahaha."
As reported by the Mirro r, she said they couldn't stand to sleep in the room for more than one night as she showed dirt throughout, including in the shower and the bin.

In her voiceover, Jasmine said: "I was meant to book the apartment but I didn't realise. When I first walked in there and I saw there's only two rooms and one bathroom in the middle, I thought, 'Where's the rest of it?'.
"I am going to emphasise that was not Butlin's fault at all though to be fair - it was my fault. So anyway I don't know if the videos can do it justice because the smell when I walked in there was just absolutely wild.
"This isn't the cleaner's fault or anything like that - it's the turnover rate is the issue. These rooms need massive deep cleans because a quick once over is not going to help."

"I didn't even want to shower in there - in fact, I didn't shower in there. I ended up going to the swimming pools to have a shower.
"We spent one night in this room and the beds were so damp - my daughter even woke up asking why the bed was so wet.
"I can't explain the smell. I know I keep saying it but it was horrific. The mould was over the windows, there were cobwebs up the walls... This was a dead bug on our bed and then our daughter got poo on her hand walking out and I was like 'nah, that's it, 100% I am going.'

"The stuff kids can do here is amazing though - I will not fault Butlins for that. It is just a shame about the room."

A spokesperson for the holiday park said: 'We're sorry and disappointed to see the cleanliness issues the guest experienced with their accommodation. This certainly isn't the high standards we expect our guests to receive when they holiday with us. We carried out a full reclean and offered a gesture of goodwill which was accepted.'

Others shared similar experiences in the comments, with one person writing: "This looks so much cleaner than our room [laughing emoji]."
Another person said: "Skegness I had the most horrible room haven't ever gone back. It was a hot year window broke couldn't open it, bedding didn't get changed stuff left under the bed etc was horrible."
However, another visitor insisted they had only ever had positive experiences at the holiday park, writing: "Which Butlin's is this?? We've always been to skeg one and never had a room like this. That's grim."

A source said: 'Gladiators won't be coming back for 2026 and will be replaced by another headliner. 'The licensing row was a headache — and bosses have decided that it is best to make room for a new act next summer. 'Fans were excited to see the Gladiators but many were left disappointed to find out they were in black tracksuits for some of the performances.' Hungry Bear Media, owned by telly host Holly Willoughby's husband Dan Baldwin, makes Gladiators for the BBC, and is said to have agreed the deal with Butlin's. However it only holds TV rights in the UK while US entertainment giant MGM owns the original format and branding worldwide. In March, photos of the Gladiators were taken off the Butlin's website. But the stars, who are due to appear at the resorts over the summer holidays and in October, have since reappeared in full costume, including Dynamite. A Butlin's spokesman said: 'Meet the Stars of Gladiators are performing as scheduled, and we have not dropped them. 'Our contract was a one-year deal and we're looking forward to having them at all three resorts this summer and for October half-term. "We've got an exciting line-up of new headliners for 2026.' Family slam caravan park after being forced to leave during 'horrendous' stay

Nicola Jones and David Shirley checked in at the Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park in Wales but were asked to leave early after experiencing several issues during their stay. A family in Wales have slammed a Welsh holiday park after they were forced to leave following an "awful" stay. ‌ Nicola Jones, her partner David Shirley, their three children, and other relatives arrived at the Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park in Rhyl, Denbighshire, last Saturday. ‌ They had booked a £560 week -long stay and were due to check out today, but say they were told to leave early, which they did on Wednesday night. ‌ Among the issues they faced were finding toothpaste in the sink, urine in the toilet, a sewing needle in the carpet and no running water in the food kiosks. Nicola said she left a note for the cleaner to point out the issues in their caravan - but claimed her request was ignored. ‌ Nicola told the Mirror: "There was toothpaste in the sink, pee in the toilet and hair in the shower. I requested a cleaner to come and sort out the caravan. I left some notes to show the cleaner what was needed. But she didn't look at the notes. She hoovered the floor and left everything else. "I had to go to reception to complain but by then there were no cleaners left. I would have done it myself and requested some cleaning products as I was not going to buy them." Nicola said that in the end, a "lovely" lady arrived to solve the issues in the caravan. But the issues didn't end there, as there was no running water at two food kiosks - one selling ice cream and the other pizzas - on the site last Monday and Tuesday. ‌ Eventually Nicola said "sort kind of customer service manager" met her group to discuss about their problems - but claimed her group was eventually asked to leave. She said: "It's been horrendous. We were thrown off the site without a reason why. I was told if we left we would get a refund." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Due to their experience, Nicola said they will never return to the caravan park. A Lyons Holiday Parks spokesman told North Wales Live there were issues which were resolved: "We did have an issue with a burst main water pipe which did have to be repaired. We carried out the repair and operated in line with requirements. We did also have bottled water available for our guests. "This guest did report issues on Sunday to reception and was offered upgraded accommodation and many alternatives which were refused. Our housekeeping team resolved all issues with the accommodation that afternoon." The spokesman added: "Although we will not comment directly on the circumstances which prompted us to ask the guest to leave, a full refund will be issued and we have been in contact with the 3rd party operator today."
