FORECAST: Heat builds throughout the weekend as storm chances linger
FORECAST:
We will see off-and-on showers and storms throughout the evening.
These rain chances will continue each day this weekend, but the big story will be the heat.
It's not too bad today. However, Saturday, Sunday, and the first half of next week will be in the upper 80s.
Heat index values are expected to reach the mid-90s.

FORECAST: Pop up storms this afternoon
FORECAST: We're drying out from last night's showers, just to rinse and repeat that forecast again! It's going to be hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s, feeling like the low 90s this afternoon. And while the first half of the day is dry, the second half will feature pop-up showers and storm chances again. Similar to the past few days, we'll watch for locally heavy rainfall and flooding issues in areas that storms sit over. Rain chances slip heading into the weekend in Central Florida
Our chances of rain are starting to slip as we enter the weekend. Dry air moving in from the Caribbean will reduce rain chances and lead to warmer temperatures for the next week. Saturday's best chance of rain is in the middle of the afternoon. Areas west of Orlando will have the best chance of rain during the afternoon. Severe weather is not expected, but can't be ruled out. If you see a stronger storm, the main impact will be 40 mph wind gusts. Father's Day is looking hot. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-90s. Rain chances will be higher near the coast. Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival Canceled amid Severe Weather
Bonnaroo has been canceled amid severe weather in Manchester, Tenn. Festival goers are eligible for refunds The festival was evacuated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has been canceled due to reports of severe weather. The festival, held in Manchester, Tenn., was called off for the remainder of the weekend on Friday, June 13. Rolling Stone was first to report the news. Bonnaroo kicked off on Thursday, June 12, hosting Luke Combs, Dom Dolla, and more on its first day of performances. Centeroo, the main area of the festival, was evacuated at 1:30 p.m. CT, per The Tennessean. 'We are beyond gutted, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the remainder of Bonnaroo,' a push alert from the festival app read. A statement on the festival site continued, 'Today, the National Weather Service provided us with an updated forecast with significant and steady precipitation that will produce deteriorating camping and egress conditions in the coming days." 'We are going to make things right with you, and you will find refund information at the end of this message, but let's start with the next steps." The statement continued, "The number one thing we need from the Bonnaroo community is patience. Some of your fellow campers' sites are in rough shape. The rain has settled in areas and made certain parts of Outeroo difficult to manage." "We'd like to prioritize getting those folks as well as those with accessibility needs off The Farm as soon as possible this evening," read the statement. "To do this, we ask that if your campsite is in good shape or if you're in an RV or pre-pitched accommodation, please consider spending the night with us and we'll start working to get you out of here safely tomorrow." The festival organizers concluded, "We will continue to operate as usual in Outeroo including food vendors and all health and safety infrastructure. We have put our hearts and souls into making this weekend the most special one of the year, and cannot express how crushed we are to have to make this decision. Thank you in advance for your patience, your positivity and your unfailing Bonnaroovian spirit.'
