Update On Why Wardlow Has Not Returned To AEW TV
Wardlow has been missing from AEW television, and it appears it's for a few reasons. AEW star Wardlow has not been on television for over a year. His last match was a world title match against Samoa Joe on the 'Big Business' episode of Dynamite in March 2024. According to Fightful (via Fightful Select), Wardlow suffered what was believed to be a torn labrum injury sometime in the spring of 2024. Advertisement He was later involved in a car accident, which he wrote about in April 2024. Fightful stressed that the accident did not cause the injury, but made it worse. During an appearance on the Stick to Wrestling Podcast, Matt Taven said Wardlow had been dealing with a 'knee injury.' However, Fightful's report did not mention any other injuries besides the initial one. Wardlow also landed a significant acting role In addition, Wardlow landed what was described as a 'very appropriate and special' television role earlier this year. In March, it was reported that the former TNT Champion was backstage at AEW Revolution. Despite that, he was not planned on being used due to recovering from the injury and working on outside projects. He is cleared to compete now, but he met with Tony Khan, and both sides agreed that bringing him back to TV didn't make sense yet since he'd have to leave again for the TV role. Advertisement Wardlow has a 'significant amount of time' left on his AEW contract and is expected to be with AEW for a long time. 'Mr. Mayhem' has been with AEW since 2019 and had a lengthy run as MJF's bodyguard. After turning on MJF, he then won the TNT Championship three times, with the last reign coming in 2023. Wardlow later joined the Undisputed Kingdom, and he was with the group until his AEW hiatus began. The post Update On Why Wardlow Has Not Returned To AEW TV appeared first on Wrestlezone.

Black expressed a clear interest in potentially working with AEW. "I would definitely be open to going to AEW. I loved my time there. I have a lot of friends there," she said. The former WWE star made a brief appearance on AEW Dark in 2020 as Elayna Black before signing with WWE. Her positive sentiment towards the promotion is also fueled by its creative approach. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation She stated, "I'm so much for storylines and character, so I feel they are very creatively free in that way." LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE's Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. More Throughout her NXT tenure, she was involved in several prominent storylines and was considered a key part of the brand's women's division. Following her WWE departure, she has reverted to her Black ring name and has been actively preparing for the next chapter of her career. She's done so by launching an OnlyFans account and taking independent bookings as her 30-day non-compete period ended around June 1, 2025. Her comments about AEW signal a significant potential landing spot for the young star. AEW may be the right landing spot for her, considering that she is still so young and could use the rival promotion as a launching pad for her career on a short-term basis. A one or two-year deal would be something she could use greatly to her benefit and perhaps make her way to WWE one day if she impresses enough. However, Francis then lightly poked Navarro's chest, causing him to drop. Advertisement Francis immediately tried to cover and pin his partner, leading to a chaotic brawl breaking out. Eventually, The Rascalz would go on to win, but the moment to start quickly went viral online.
