Fortnite down: How to solve matchmaking error that is causing black screen during Death Star Sabotage fight?

Fortnite was down for thousands on Saturday. Several gamers complained about seeing a matchmaking error, which cast a complete black screen mid-mission. The game's support department addressed the issue. It said that some 'players may be seeing matchmaking errors when trying to enter the early Death Star Sabotage fight'. 'In the meantime, entering another game mode and switching back to Death Star Sabotage may help resolve this,' the statement on X, platform formerly known as Twitter, further reads. These errors, often labeled as Matchmaking Error #1, #2, or #3, or manifesting as a black screen during matchmaking, are typically caused by server issues, network problems, or client-side glitches, as per Epic Games. Common Causes of Matchmaking Errors and Black Screen Server Downtime or Overload: The live event and season transition caused scheduled downtime, with matchmaking disabled at 2:30 PM ET, per downdetector. Network Issues: Unstable internet, high ping, or misconfigured DNS can disrupt server communication, leading to errors or black screens. Corrupted Files or Cache: Outdated or corrupted game files, especially post-update, can cause matchmaking failures or loading issues. Device Sync Problems: Console or PC cache overload or incorrect time settings may trigger black screen glitches. Check Fortnite Server Status Visit to confirm if matchmaking or game services are operational. If servers are down, wait for Epic Games to restore them, typically within 4–6 hours. Restart Fortnite and Device Close Fortnite and the Epic Games Launcher completely. On PC, use Task Manager to end tasks (Right-click Taskbar > Task Manager > End Epic Games Launcher and Fortnite). Restart your console (PS4/PS5, Xbox, Switch) or PC to clear temporary glitches. Reopen Fortnite and attempt matchmaking again. Verify Game Files On PC, open Epic Games Launcher, click the three dots next to Fortnite, select 'Manage,' and click 'Verify' to repair corrupted files. For consoles, check for game updates or reinstall Fortnite as a last resort. Sync Device Clock Ensure your device's date and time are set to automatic: PS4/PS5: Settings > Date and Time > Set Using Internet. Xbox: Settings > System > Time > Set Time Zone Automatically. PC: Settings > Time & Language > Sync Now, per Incorrect time settings can disrupt server sync, causing errors, per

(Image via Getty Images) That moment when the NFL regular season is months away. That moment when everybody is waiting for the NFL regular season to begin. That moment when the offseason seems uninteresting. That moment when a Sports Media Personality has to come up with games to keep the show running! - is exactly the moment now! Dov Kleiman, a Sports Media Personality, known for his NFL news aggregation on X(formerly Twitter), came up with an interesting game. On June 7, Kleiman shared a post on X where the image showed a person's fingers typing on the longest possible phone on earth. The text that the person typed may be a minimum of 500 words or more! Now, what Kleiman captioned this X post with was - 'Name a NFL player you would defend like this:' A fan wrote, 'Aaron Rodgers.' Check out the image below! Brock Purdy , Matthew Stafford, Lamar Jackson , OJ Simpson, Jalen Hurts, Cam Newton , Micah Parsons, and Colin Kaepernick were some of the players fans wanted to defend One fan wrote, 'Easy answer! For the fake sports news media it's Colin Kaepernick!' - In August 2016, Steve Wyche, Chief National Reporter for the NFL, wrote, 'San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has willingly immersed himself into controversy by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem in protest of what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States. ' A second fan said, 'Aaron Rodgers' - Is it for signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers or for never giving up on Ayahuasca Retreat? A third fan wrote, 'Brock Purdy' - Is it for being the highest-paid quarterback in the history of the NFL(five-year contract extension worth $265 million)? Another fan commented, '(Stefon)Diggs after the stuff on the boat 🤣' A fan chimed in, 'Antonio Brown' One fan said, 'Matthew Stafford (w/ Lions)' - Is it for choosing to stay with the Los Angeles Rams even after a $20 million pay cut? A fan jotted, 'Micah Parsons'- Could it be for using chess to play on the gridiron? One fan shared, 'Justin Jefferson > Jamar chase' Another fan mentioned a long list of NFL players, 'Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, AJ Brown, Saquon Barkley, Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata', Jalen Carter, Zach Baun, Quiyon Mitchell, Cooper Dejean, Cam Jurgens, Jake Elliot, Landon Dickerson, Nolan Smith, Nakobe Dean, shall I go on?' A third fan said, 'Lamar Jackson and Lamar Jackson only' - Is it for not getting an extension with the Baltimore Ravens? Air India Presents Power Creator Awards 2025: Bollywood's 'Badman' Gulshan Grover says 'playing a villain is extremely difficult'

The Air India Presents Power Creator Awards 2025, backed by The Times of India, honoured creators who are changing the game with their fresh, original content in areas like food, fashion, technology, beauty, travel and more. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Among the stars who joined the celebration was Bollywood's original 'Bad Man', . The actor, known for his iconic villain roles in films like 'Ram Lakhan', 'Mohra' and 'Yes Boss', took to the stage to present an award and also shared what kind of content he would make if he became a digital creator himself. 'This is a very, very unusual award' Gulshan Grover started his speech by praising the event and how it highlighted creators doing exceptional work. He said, 'Congratulations to Times Entertainment for moving with times. In fact, moving ahead of times. This is a very, very unusual award being given to such tremendously talented people that we are aware of their work, partially, but we were not aware of how diverse work, how wonderful work is being done by such young talented people.' Grover added,'There was so much interesting work being done by these creators. I am extremely happy that I came this evening to be part of this award.' What content would he create? When asked what kind of content he would create if he had a channel, Gulshan Grover shared an interesting story. 'I was in Australia doing some live shows in different cities, and actor , a friend of mine, and that I met him after a long time. Ashish does this food channel. He was also there, and wherever we went, he was constantly, constantly covering food, food, food. I said interesting, he is an actor and he found food, covering food, talking about food interesting.' Tired of too many ads? go ad free now He said the thought stayed with him, 'When I came back to the hotel and I was thinking if I was to do this, what would it be? What is it that fascinates me?' He added, 'Of course, being a bad man, being a villain on screen, doing this for multiple years is fascinating, interesting. I would like to sort of work around that. I would also like to meet, interview, and talk to people who have played these wonderful bad man roles.' He continued with a bold opinion about acting, 'Because in my opinion, to be a hero, you need to be good looking and an average actor. To be a bad man, you have to be a very, very good actor. It's because you are playing the same part over and over again. What you are going to do is known. That you are going to be bad, terrible. But how you present it, how you perform it, how you do it, how some fashion guy dresses you up, makes you look interesting, how the whole persona and everything works on screen, there are so many different facets. ' He added, 'So therefore, playing a villain is extremely difficult. So I would definitely like to cover all that.' The Power Creator Awards 2025 is a celebration of the creative energy sweeping across the country's digital space. Co-powered by Nothing, and with Hilton as the official Hospitality Partner, the event brought together leading voices across categories. Power Creator Awards shines the spotlight on India's digital trailblazers
