Humber Street Sesh 2025 headliners revealed
The headline act for Hull's biggest music festival has been announced.
The Howl & The Hum, from York, is to perform on 2 August at the Humber Street Sesh, which showcases grassroots and local musicians.
Other artists to perform at the one-day event, in the Marina and Fruit Market area of the city, are Liverpool-based rockers Casino, Nottingham alternative country group Divorce and Hull's electro punk musician Jodie Langford.
Mark Page, the festival's artistic director, said: "We're delighted to have The Howl & The Hum confirmed as this year's festival headliners."
He said: "They're an act that grabs the soul of an audience with sublime vocals and arrangements, and one that will undoubtedly stun the crowds at this year's event.
"Alongside our other headliners, we're hugely excited for our 13th edition of Humber Street Sesh."
The festival was developed from a weekly live music night held at a pub in west Hull.
Since the inaugural event in 2012, it is estimated more than 2,000 bands and artists have taken part, according to organisers.
Humber Street Sesh is to run from 12:00 to 23:00 BST on 2 August and ticket details can be found on the festival website.

Previous reports had noted that Alonso was not thinking about making a radical change before the Club World Cup, and would reassess afterwards, and the Madrid-based daily explain that the coaching staff feel the current squad his not set up to play three at the back, although the 4-3-3 will not be the only system in mind. If that 4-3-3 does come into place, Vinicius Junior will likely be on the left wing, and he will hold a conversation with the Brazilian to make that clear to him. A system that benefits…? In theory, this system would benefit Rodrygo Goes more than anyone, who together with Brahim Diaz has a more natural position in a 4-3-3 than a 3-5-2. At the very least, they would have a clearer path to a starting spot. It is news that may be less encouraging for the likes of Dai Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and Raul Asencio, who with new signings arriving in their positions, face increased competition without increased spaces in the starting XI.

However, at the end of the day, Liverpool will want to bring in someone who can at least provide cover. Maybe not the same quality as Diaz but someone who has the same potential. If Diaz leaves, he must absolutely be a surprise candidate to replace him. Ngumoha is a generational talent. There's a reason why Liverpool went all out to sign him and there's a reason why despite barely being 16-years-old, he's been regularly training with the club's first team all season, and catching the eye in training too. Ngumoha averages 13 dribblers per 90 minutes for Liverpool's academy sides this season. His one vs one ability puts him up there alongside some of the best prospects in the world. He showed against Accrington he can make an impact even against senior players. He's proving that in training sessions week, week out as well. Advertisement The one thing that has been missing a little bit is his end-product. But Ngumoha is improving that as well. He scored a brace in the U21s final game of the Premier League 2 season against Aston Villa. Recently, he provided an assist for England's U17 side in a crucial game against Italy at the U17 Euros and he scored twice and registered an assist against Northern Ireland in the final qualifying game in the lead-up to the tournament. Chelsea thought Ngumoha was good enough to play with the first team at 15-years-old. That's when he was first invited to participate in first team training sessions. He'll be 17-years-old by the start of the 2025/26 season and it already feels like he's ready to make the step-up. Sometimes you have to throw players in at the deep end, especially players as exciting as Ngumoha. If Diaz leaves, it will be a huge opportunity for the young man and Liverpool will absolutely consider Ngumoha as an option to fill the Colombian's void.

The five modern bars inside Hill Dickinson Stadium as Everton announcement made
Everton fans have voted for the 'fan-named pub' inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium to be named 'The Prince Rupert' following an online poll. Six thousand supporters cast their vote to name the pub, with the winner beating The Southall Arms 28% to 24%. Advertisement The Prince Rupert will now join four other bars in the West Stand of Everton's state-of-the-art new stadium, The Queen's Head, inspired by the pub where Everton Football Club was founded, Dixie's Sports Bar, a venue showcasing live sport from around the world and Kendall's Social, a space designed for music, entertainment and socialising before and after matches. The four bars will be in a special area named 'Village Street' where, in November 1879, St Domingo's became Everton FC. Those supporters in the Village Street area of the stadium will have halfway-line seating, as well as the cost of food and drink covered in their membership.
