Florida Panthers drop off Stanley Cup Ring at Hockey Hall of Fame

Yahoo12-03-2025

The Florida Panthers paid a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
There was a special reason for the visit.
Members of the Panthers, including Captain Sasha Barkov, Head Coach Paul Maurice and forwards Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk, dropped off a very fancy and unique piece of jewelry.
The Panthers brought a Stanley Cup Championship ring to be added to the Hall of Fame.

First, it will reside inside Florida's special display as the current Stanley Cup Champs, which has prominent placement inside the HHOF.
It was actually Barkov that physically placed the ring into the display, which was met by a round of applause for those lucky enough to be at the Hall of Fame to witness the affair.
Eventually, the ring will likely end up inside Lord Stanley's Vault, a special room inside the Hall of Fame's Great Hall, that houses an expansive collection of Stanley Cup rings from throughout the years and decades, in addition to the original Stanley Cup and the historic trophy's retired rings.
The timing of the delivery makes sense as the Panthers are making their first visit to Toronto this season.
Florida will face the Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday night, the second game on a six-game road trip that doesn't end until next weekend in Washington.

Aaron Judge smashes a 469-foot shot for the 3rd longest homer of MLB season

Aaron Judge hit the third-longest homer in the majors this season in the first inning of the Yankees' game against the Royals on Tuesday night, a 469-foot shot to left field off Noah Cameron that landed on top of the Kansas City franchise's Hall of Fame. Judge's two-run homer had an exit velocity of 117.9 mph, tying it for the third-hardest hit homer in the majors. It was his 24th of the season, and came two days after the two-time and reigning MVP hit a pair of homers in a loss to the Red Sox. The Angels' Mike Trout hit the longest homer of the season, a 484-foot shot against the Giants on April 19. His teammate, Logan O'Hoppe, hit one 470 against A's on May 27. Judge hit one 468 feet against the Brewers on March 29. Judge has reached base safely in 61 of 65 games this season, including every game that New York has played on the road. Aaron Judge blasts home run 469 feet nearly out of Kauffman Stadium in matchup with Royals

It wasn't the longest home run of Aaron Judge's career, but it sure looked like it. The New York Yankees star absolutely obliterated a ball that nearly made it completely out of Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City on Tuesday night. Judge, in the first inning of their matchup with the Royals, smashed a home run that traveled 469 feet and almost cleared the team's Hall of Fame wall out in left field. Advertisement Judge, with the team suddenly up 2-0, trotted around the bases like it was nothing. While he's hit plenty like it in his career, Tuesday's shot was a rare one for the stadium. The home run was the seventh-longest of Judge's career, and his 12th that has traveled at least 465 feet, the league announced. Judge's longest home run of his career came back in 2017, when he hit a shot that went 496 feet against the Toronto Blue Jays. That's tied for the fifth-longest in the Statcast Era, which dates back to 2015. Judge entered Tuesday's game in Missouri with a .396 batting average and a 1.264 OPS, both of which lead the league. The home run his 24th of the season, which trails only Seattle Mariners star Cal Raleigh. He also has a league-high 96 hits. Advertisement The Yankees took a 39-25 record into Tuesday's game, which kicked off a three-game series with the Royals. This post will be updated with more information shortly.
