
Greggs and KFC team up to launch sausage roll drenched in gravy
The brands said the alliance followed Britons consuming 15,000 litres of KFC gravy and more than one million Greggs sausage rolls every day over the past year.
They are taking the new combination on a three-day tour from Thursday, handing it out for free in London on August 7, followed by Manchester on August 8 and Newcastle on August 9.
A sharing bucket including six Greggs sausage rolls and a large tub of KFC gravy will be available for £10 on Friday August 15 and Saturday August 16 through Uber Eats in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham.
KFC brand manager Phoebe Syms said: 'At KFC, we bleed gravy. We go to obsessive lengths for our liquid gold, and so do our fans.
'In fact, it was them who inspired this once-in-a-lifetime event, calling for us to partner with Greggs and unite our iconic gravy with their iconic sausage rolls.
'Now we're joining forces for just a few days to give the people a taste of what they really want … it's time for gravy to meet pastry. You're welcome.'
Fiona Mills, brand communications lead at Greggs, said: 'With 96 layers of light puff pastry, and perfectly baked to give that satisfying golden crisp and flaky goodness, we've always known our sausage rolls are a true British icon. And why not pair one icon with another?
'We can't wait to see what Greggs and KFC fans make of our latest partnership. We're sure fans of both brands will enjoy devouring their Greggs x KFC sharing bucket.'
The tour will stop at London's Southbank Centre on Thursday, followed by Manchester's Cathedral Gardens on Friday and then Newcastle's Times Square, all between 12pm and 5pm, with supplies available on a first come, first served basis.
Last week, Greggs revealed a slump in profits as it was knocked by hot weather and caution among shoppers over their finances.
The Newcastle-based business revealed that pre-tax profits fell by 14.3% to £63.5 million for the half-year to June 28, compared with a year earlier.
It said the first half of 2025 was impacted by 'challenging market footfall, more weather disruption than in 2024' and increased costs.

She is a multiple stakes winner in the US where she has ridden more than 340 winners but will be making her British debut at Ascot on Saturday when her six mounts will include Miss Information, winner of the Kensington Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, in June. 'We were both riding work for Wesley Ward when Frankie caught me off guard.' said Davis, who featured in the hit Netflix documentary 'Race For The Crown. 'He said, 'Don't you forget me. You gotta call me when the entries come out'. So we're going to Facetime. Trust me, I'm here to win.' Davis is part of the Rest Of The World team with the Hong Kong-based duo Karis Teetan and Hugh Bowman, the Australian best known for partnering the great Winx to 25 Group 1 victories. She added: 'Words can't explain how much I am looking forward to it. I work well under pressure. It's more of an excitement for me. I will definitely enjoy every bit of it.'

'We are so bad at talking about death': Kelsey Parker shares her experience of loss
Podcaster Kelsey Parker speaks to ITV News' Bairbre Holmes about her devasting loss and the need for people to be more open about death Having suffered the loss of her husband three years ago and her third child in June, podcaster Kelsey Parker has decided to speak out, calling for the British to be "more open and honest" about death. Kelsey, who announced she was expecting her third child in January, shared an Instagram post in June with the sad news that her son Pheonix was 'born sleeping'. His stillbirth came just a week before his due date. The baby was Kelsey's first with her new partner Will Lindsay, whom she met after the death of her husband, The Wanted star Tom Parker, from an inoperable brain tumour. At the time of Pheonix's death, Kelsey, who has a six-year-old daughter Aurelia and four-old-son Bodhi with the late singer, asked for space and time to process this "devastating and earth-shattering news". Asked why she had decided to speak out now, the 35-year-old podcaster told ITV News on Thursday: "Because I think as a nation, we are so bad at talking about death. "Everyone's so scared of the word. Everyone's scared to die. But there can be beauty in death. And I just want to share my experiences with everyone." She said people needed to be more open and honest about death and not to shy away from those who are bereaved. "I think that we just need to be more open about it because we are going to die - that is one thing we're guaranteed in this life, that we are going to die," she explained. "And to not be afraid to talk to that person who's gone through loss. "Because, you know, when Tom died, people used to actually cross the road to not talk to me because they don't know what to say. But I think there is no wrong or right. You just need to speak to that person." She said being open and honest with her children after the loss of Pheonix was even more important because they were experiencing grief for the second time. "It's brought everything to the surface," she said. "Losing their dad and now obviously losing their brother. So it's just making sure that they're able to talk and have the space for us to listen." She said she reminds them that, although they have experienced "the most extreme loss" they are actually okay. As for her? "Today I'm okay. Other days I'm not. But I'm just trying to get through each day." Kelsey said she was drawing support from her family, Will's family, Tom's family and her online followers. "I think people are so devastated for me, but they know that I am strong and that I'll be okay," she told ITV News. "I think people wanted the happy ending for me, and it hasn't worked out that way. "But, yeah, the love I've received has been absolutely incredible." Kelsey has previously spoken candidly about how trolls have made her feel guilty for having a new partner. She said in March: 'I'm always going to have guilt but what's so hard is that Tom's not here any more, so what do people want me to do? 'Our house was full of so much sadness but now it's full of happiness, the kids deserve that more than anything.' Following Tom's death, Kelsey raised money for a brain tumour charity by organising annual charity football matches in his memory. Her latest campaign is called Community Calling. "It's such a lovely campaign, which is getting people to get their old devices that are in their dusty drawers and to get them out, go on to Community Calling and back up your pictures, save everything that you want to save and then send your device off to someone in need," she explained. "Because there are so many people out there that haven't got access to a device and it's just so important to help others." The campaign also encourages participants to save their photos in a physical album. The first 500 people to sign up will get a free photo book, like one that Kelsey showed to ITV News. "My children absolutely loved this when this came through the door because they don't sit there and flick through the phone," she said. "I think a physical album is just so lovely. There's so much magic in just flicking through these pictures." Kelsey hosts a podcast with model Georgia Jones called Mum's the Word! where the pair share parenting advice with celebrity guests. She recorded several episodes before going on maternity leave, which will air in the coming months. "They were part of my journey so I didn't want to not share them, and they all have incredible guests with really important stories and messages," she said on Instagram.

Alan Sheehan has described the 'buzz' since Snoop Dogg became a Swansea co-owner and explained how the Championship club plan to build on the feel-good factor. The 53-year-old American rapper joined a growing list of celebrity investors in British football last month by becoming part of a Swansea ownership group that already included Croatia midfield great Luka Modric. Multi award-winning Snoop said Swansea's 'underdog' story 'really struck a chord with me' and his vast following on social media – 89 million on Instagram and 20.5 million on X – quickly learned about the Welsh club and his love for Joe's ice cream in the city. Comparisons with Wrexham, who are owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are unavoidable and already being made. The two Welsh clubs are Championship rivals this season after Wrexham became the first team in the top five tiers of English football to win three successive promotions. A docu-series tracking life at Swansea, on similar lines to the award-winning FX show 'Welcome to Wrexham', is understood to be already in the pipeline. Asked if Swansea – who were relegated in 2018 after seven seasons in the Premier League – were the 'new' Wrexham, Sheehan said: 'No, we're Swansea. We're not new anything. 'Now they're in our division, I suppose, it becomes more there now (rivalry), but we don't play them until December. So I won't really be speaking about them until December.' Modric – who joined the board in April following a takeover led by American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen six months earlier – was unveiled as an AC Milan player on Monday after his trophy-littered 13-year spell at Real Madrid ended this summer. The 39-year-old has played his part in Sheehan's summer recruitment strategy, actively persuading players to join the Welsh club. 'Obviously, his transfer situation… he was unavailable to come here,' smiled Sheehan. 'We've had a few text messages and he's involved. 'Luka has spoke to some players, passed on his knowledge, what he knows about the football club, and the plans that we have for it. 'Snoop and Luka are very invested in the club. They care, they speak through the ownership and the ownership are very good to us.' So will Grammy-nominated Snoop soon be swapping California for Swansea to watch a game? 'I believe so,' said Sheehan. 'But I'm not sure which game yet. It would be very naive and narrow-minded to think two very successful people in what they do could not help us. 'Successful people have a lot in common – a work ethic, a grit, a determination to get where they want to get to. So with Snoop, Luka and the ownership there is a lot of positivity around the football club.'
