Dubai lit up with star power as Heart Evangelista, the iconic Filipina actress, model, and fashion icon, arrived in the city for the prestigious 2025 EMIGALA Fashion and Beauty Awards.
Heart made a dazzling entrance at the EMIGALA 2025 opening ceremony, turning heads in an elegant M5 couture ensemble by Michael Cinco. For her panel appearance, she wore an intricately embellished cropped jacket paired with striking golden metallic wide-leg pants—an effortlessly bold and fashion-forward look that perfectly captured her signature style and confidence.
Gracing the red carpet in true style, Heart was a vision in a custom Michael Cinco (M5) couture gown, capturing the eyes and hearts of fashion enthusiasts from around the world. The 40-year-old style icon was honored with the coveted "Global Fashion Influencer of the Year" award during the glamorous ceremony held on Wednesday night, April 23, at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai.
Heart wore two stunning gowns on the awards night, each highlighting a unique facet of her signature elegance. On the red carpet, she turned heads in a breathtaking crystal-embellished brown couture gown by Michael Cinco, exuding high-fashion drama and sophistication.
Later in the evening, as she accepted her award, Heart changed into a graceful white, crystal-beaded gown by Michael Leyva, radiating timeless beauty and effortless poise.
The award was presented by Michael Cinco himself—the internationally acclaimed, Dubai-based Filipino designer behind some of Heart's most iconic fashion moments. In a heartfelt statement, Cinco said:

Earlier in the day, Heart visited Cinco's atelier and shared warm moments with both Michael Cinco and fellow Filipino designer Michael Leyva—two of the Philippines' finest fashion visionaries now making waves globally.
Heart was accompanied at the event by her husband, Philippine Senate President Francis 'Chiz' Escudero, and the couple lit up the red carpet with their presence. Fans around Dubai were thrilled to spot the actress throughout her stay, some even lucky enough to take photos with her.
Adding to the celebration, Dubai-based Filipino influencer Ryan Banks congratulated Heart on her award with a sweet message: 'You are such a sweet-Heart.'
For Elton Lipanta, a Filipino expat and artist in Dubai, meeting Heart wasn't just a fan moment—it was the fulfillment of a dream.
'I finally met Heart—and I'm still over the moon,' Elton shared. Known for his hand-painted bags, many of which are inspired by Heart's timeless style, he recalled the first time he saw her—from afar—at an awards night. 'I was heartbroken I couldn't get a photo. I told myself, ' Next time, I won't miss the chance.' And this time—I didn't.'
Not only did he meet Heart up close, but she also signed his custom-painted bag—featuring her and her beloved dog, Panda. 'What made it even more special? She remembered me,' he said. 'And she told me the bag was ' maganda ' and ' pretty.' I was beyond thrilled.'
Elton added with a smile, 'People often say, ' You're like Heart Evangelista.' And I always say—she's my muse, my ultimate inspiration. A true global fashion and beauty icon.'
