Fabrizio Romano Offers Update on PSG's Interest in Real Madrid Star Linked to Liverpool
PSG's position on Rodrygo remains somewhat murky. According to Josué Cassé of Foot Mercato, the Brazilian forward isn't currently on their radar — a report that conflicts with Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, who also ruled out Tottenham Hotspur as a potential landing spot.
Still, Plettenberg added that Liverpool and PSG monitor Rodrygo's situation. PSG are said to be seriously interested and are in the market for a top young winger, though any potential move may hinge on how the transfer window plays out in the coming weeks.
Are PSG keen on Real Madrid standout?
FlorenciaRomano reports that PSG will consider a move for Rodrygo if Bradley Barcola leaves, as he's one of the names on their list. However, the Parisians have no plans to sell Barcola and would only consider it if he publicly says he wants to go. The club has already prepared a major contract extension to keep him.
Arsenal were previously linked with a move for Brazilian winger Rodrygo earlier this summer, with Liverpool and Tottenham also showing interest. But according to Spanish outlet AS, Rodrygo appears set on staying at the Bernabeu. He's reportedly eager to fight for his place under incoming manager Xabi Alonso and believes he can make an impact alongside Real Madrid's current attacking talent.

Real Madrid Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This PSG Midfielder: Dream Choice For Alonso?
In a recent report, Marca mentioned that Real Madrid are keeping a keen eye on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha. It has been claimed that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Portuguese talent this summer. Vitinha enjoyed an excellent form at the French club in the previous campaign when he put in a series of impressive performances for them at the centre of the park. The 25-year-old scored eight times and secured five assists in 59 matches for PSG last season across multiple competitions. The Portuguese midfielder gave a good account of himself as he made 43 tackles, 26 blocks and 14 interceptions in Ligue 1. He was even tidy when distributing possession from midfield after completing 93.1% of his attempted passes in the French first division (stats via His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, it won't be easy for Los Blancos to snap him up on the cheap this off-season. EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY – JULY 09: Vitinha #17 of Paris Saint-Germain celebrates following the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 semi-final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid CF at MetLife Stadium on July 09, 2025 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by) Is Vitinha A Dream Choice For Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso? Vitinha is a solid tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn the ball back for his team at the centre of the park. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is an accurate passer of the ball when required. The Portuguese midfield ace can contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals in the final third. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also operate as a holding midfielder or play in the number ten position if told to do so by his manager. We can expect Vitinha to add more quality to Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso's midfield department. He is more than capable of earning a regular starting spot at the Madrid club in the coming years. At 25, Vitinha has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a dream choice for Los Blancos to consider in this transfer window. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in La Liga if Real Madrid manage to get him on board this summer or next year.

PSG signs goalkeeper Chevalier from Lille amid uncertainty over Donnarumma's future
PARIS (AP) — Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain signed goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille on a five-year contract Saturday, amid increasing uncertainty over Gianluigi Donnarumma's future at the club. The transfer fee was not disclosed but French sports daily L'Équipe reported that PSG paid just over 40 million euros ($46.5 million) for the 23-year-old Chevalier, with the deal potentially rising to 55 million euros in case of future bonuses. Chevalier impressed for Lille in the Champions League last season. He caught the eye with stellar performances against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Juventus, where he made one stunning save from Dušan Vlahović that even the Juve striker applauded. "I am a kid that is living his dream. Ever since I was small I wanted to play at the very highest level,' Chevalier said. 'I'm really delighted to be here. I will wear this shirt with passion and ambition.' Chevalier came through Lille's reputed youth academy and played 127 games for the northern club. Quick and agile, he is particularly strong coming off his line and has great anticipation, although he does not always look assured on crosses and corners. His arrival could signal Donnarumma's departure, with the 26-year-old Italy international unlikely to accept being No. 2 behind Chevalier if coach Luis Enrique decides so. Donnarumma was arguably the best goalkeeper in Europe last season, playing a key role in PSG's Champions League success with inspired shot-stopping in the knockout stages. But with one year left on his contract, he has so far refused to sign a new contract and PSG is unlikely to let him leave for free at the end of the season, having already experienced the same situation with Kylian Mbappé. PSG is already well stocked with three backup goalkeepers: Matvei Safonov, Arnau Tenas, and 19-year-old Renato Martin. Five goalies could prove problematic to manage so at least one, and probably two, will need to leave during the summer transfer window. Donnarumma was in a similar position to Chevalier when he joined the club after helping Italy win the European Championship in 2021. He replaced Keylor Navas as No. 1, even though Navas had been outstanding for PSG the previous season. PSG begins its league campaign at Nantes on Aug. 17. ___ AP soccer:
