Anti-social elements warned of strict action
Asifabad: SP Patil Kantilal Subhash said that strict action will be taken against anti-social activities in the district.
He suggested that the police should work to control crimes.
A meeting was held with police officers at the district police office on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, the SP said that the police should be constantly available to the people and give priority to public safety by solving people's problems.
He ordered to take steps to control cyber crimes and prohibited drugs.
He suggested that policing should be done in a way that reassures the people and strict action should be taken in matters of peace and security.
He ordered to take legal action against those who disturb peace and security and those who obstruct police duties.
He asked to take strict measures to prevent any undesirable incidents during tomorrow's Bakrid festival.

Speeding bus kills man in Bengaluru,injures his wife & 2 daughters
Bengaluru: A speeding BMTC bus killed a 37-year-old man and injured his wife and their two daughters near Kalyan Nagar Junction Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Jamsheer, a resident of Kaveri Nagar in Mahadevapura. His wife Ayesha, 31, and their daughters Aliza, 4, and Afiya, 1, are undergoing treatment. Jamsheer, along with his wife and daughters, was riding his scooter to Ayesha's parental home on Tannery Road in DJ Halli when the accident took place. Jamsheer rode along the Kalyan Nagar flyover, and after riding down the ramp, he was heading towards Kalyan Nagar Junction when the speeding BMTC electric bus hit the scooter from behind. Jamsheer fell off to the right side of the road, while Ayesha and the two daughters fell to the left side. Jamsheer, who was run over by the rear wheels of the bus, died on the spot. Ayesha sustained a fracture in her right leg and an injury near her eye. Aliza suffered injuries all over her body as she rolled on the road after falling from the scooter. Youth dies in road accident in Tiruvallur
An 18-year-old boy who had gone to purchase food for celebrating Bakrid festival in a two-wheeler, was killed after his two-wheeler collided with another in Tiruvallur on Saturday. The Uthukottai police have filed a case, and are investigating. According to the police, the deceased, Q. Mohammed Ayub, was a resident of Thamaraipakkam village near Uthukottai. On his way home after purchasing food for Bakrid celebrations, he dashed his vehicle into a two-wheeler near Thambarampedu. In the impact, Mohammed Ayub suffered serious injuries. He was admitted to the Tiruvallur Government Hospital from where he was transferred to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital. However, he died of his injuries on Sunday.

FIR against 6 for offering Eid namaz at power substation in Hapur
Meerut: An FIR was registered against six persons, including Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) members, for allegedly offering Eid namaz at a power substation in Simbhaoli area of Hapur, police said on Sunday. The action comes during a sit-in protest led by BKU at the powerhouse, where farmers are demanding the immediate repair of electricity poles damaged in the recent storm. Protesters also demanded action against an official for demanding a bribe of Rs 40,000 in exchange for approving an electricity connection for a tubewell. On the occasion of Bakrid, some BKU members reportedly offered namaz on the premises of the substation. A video of the act was widely circulated online, following which, junior engineer Rambali Maurya, lodged an FIR at Simbhaoli police station against BKU district president Dinesh Kheda, activists Kunwar Khushnud, Manvvar Ali, Naushad, Faizan Abbasi, and an unidentified person under sections 191 (2) (illegal gathering in a group), 121 (1) obstructing govt work, 351 (2), 351 (3) of the BNS. "An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway. No arrest has been made so far," said circle officer Varun Mishra. Meanwhile, Maurya added that the ongoing agitation is also linked to an earlier incident involving electricity theft. An inspection was carried out on complaints of electricity theft in Ratupura village and uncovered power theft in nine houses. "An FIR was registered in this matter, and the farmer leaders were pressuring us to withdraw the FIR and began their protests," said Maurya.
