Jack and Kelly Osbourne's united front for Sharon after overcoming teenage fights
The funeral of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne has taken place with his close-knit family stood by his side for one last time.
Crowds of fans gathered in the streets of Birmingham, the rock star's birthplace, to pay their respect. While the funeral service itself remained private today, fans were given the opportunity to show their love and admiration for Ozzy in a procession down Broad Street on Wednesday.
Ozzy, who was known by many as the Prince of Darkness, joined the procession in a car, as fans watched a heartbroken Sharon Osbourne conceal her face. Lovingly surrounding Sharon were the three children she shared with the singer—Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
Understandably, they were all visibly distraught, doing all they could to comfort their mother, as well as each other, in what was a tragic moment for their family. Lipreader Nicola Hickling revealed the words she believed were whispered between siblings Jack and Kelly.
According to her, Jack says 10 sweet words to comfort his older sister in the emotional moment—"Come "on now, Dad wanted us to celebrate his life." Jack and Kelly were heavily featured as teenagers in the reality show The Osbournes, which launched on MTV in the early 2000s.
The scenes were worlds away from their chaotic MTV days where the siblings fought like cat and dog. They once came to blows in spectacular fashion when Jack danced with Kelly's sworn enemy Christina Aguilera at a party.
"When you hate someone, I hate someone," she raged before a full-on brawl ensued and Sharon had to step in.
Another time things turned violent over Jack's refusal to stop throwing parties while their parents were away. Again, it ended with them being prised apart by staff.
It later emerged that the pair were both fighting their own dark demons. Kelly was battling with an addiction to painkillers that she replaced with emotional eating after coming clean. While Jack entered a rehab facility for an addiction to opioid painkiller OxyContin in series two.
He told the camera crew: "I want to be in control of my life. I was really loaded, and I just sat on my mum's bed, and I just said, 'I am going to go pack my bags... I'm ready to go. I want to go; I need to go.'"
Jack did manage to get clean and has celebrated his sober milestones. And these days he is extremely close to Kelly, who supported him through his MS diagnosis in 2012 and is proud auntie to his three children with ex-wife Lisa Stelly: Pearl Clementine, Andy Rose, and Minnie Theodora.
Ozzy sadly passed away just weeks after his final show in Birmingham at the start of July. The Back to the Beginning festival was promoted as the star's last performance and marked the first time in two decades that all members of Black Sabbath—Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler—performed on stage as a band.
Reports suggested that the remaining former Black Sabbath bandmates were present at the funeral, along with Metallica's James Hetfield and singer Yungblud. Elton John was also rumoured to have intended to set out to attend the service.
During the touching moments of the funeral procession, local ensemble Bostin' Brass performed a grand brass rendition of Ozzy's hit song 'Iron Man' as well as a version of 'Crazy Train.' Fans, who had gathered from far and wide, chanted the singer's name with enthusiasm as his family tearfully watched on.

Holly Willoughby wows in a white swimsuit as she lives it up on the beach during sun-soaked Portuguese holiday with sister Kelly
took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a carefree swimsuit-clad snap with her followers as she continues to enjoy her sun-soaked holiday in Portugal. The former This Morning host, 44, looked sensational in a white one-piece as she relaxed on a boat, making the most of a well-deserved break. Her chic swimsuit featured a plunging neckline and hugged her figure perfectly, showing off her enviable physique. The presenter posed up a storm for the camera, accessorising her beachy look with oversized brown sunglasses while letting her wavy blonde locks blow freely in the breeze. She captioned the sun-drenched snap with a series of summery emojis, including a wave, sun and beach umbrella. It comes after Holly and her lookalike sister Kelly gave an insight into their holiday on Tuesday as they smiled against the sunset. The TV presenter, who owns a plush villa in the Algarve, looked stunning in a patterned one-shouldered dress. Completing her summery look, she styled her hair into beachy waves and opted for minimal makeup. Kelly wore a plunging white linen dress, which was cinched in at the waist with a wrap-around belt. The siblings shared a selfie from a balcony and captioned the update: 'Always better together.' Holly frequently spends her summer at her £2 million holiday home at a luxury resort on the Algarve. Holly's summer break comes after she faced a string of blows on her presenting gigs. Her Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt was axed after just one series following claims that it was too expensive to produce. It came months after her other mainstream programme, Dancing On Ice, was axed in March, while she also decided to step down from presenting duties on You Bet! Having been the darling of TV for several years, Holly is still in huge demand with a plethora of options open to her as she navigates this tricky stage in her career. According to The Sun, one option could be the reboot of the classic series Record Breakers, which her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin, 50, is currently working on. A source told the production that Holly would be the 'perfect fit' for the show, which at present is in its early stages and currently does not have a channel attached. They explained: 'Record Breakers is likely to be a prime-time hit, and it would make perfect sense for Holly to take the reins. She has worked alongside Dan before and the pair know what it takes to make great telly.' Meanwhile, Holly has also been linked to the revival of Cilla Black's Blind Date, alongside the likes of Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall. Originally, rumours suggested the ITV hit would make a comeback on the BBC, but now sources claim the love-match show will reboot on Disney+. In March, Holly was tipped to become the next Cilla, with the presenter lining up a string of big-money deals worth up to £10million. The revival was previously being considered by Holly's husband, Dan Baldwin, and the star had previously stepped into Cilla's shoes when she hosted a reboot of Surprise Surprise. An insider told The Sun at the time: 'There might not sound like obvious parallels between Holly and Cilla, but they're both two of the biggest stars of modern telly. 'Emulating Cilla isn't just about taking on her shows, it's as much about carving out a niche as a solo presenter with serious clout in the world of telly. 'But together with her husband Dan, they form the ultimate power couple in TV. She has the public appeal that gets viewers tuning in, while he has a track record of making hugely successful TV shows.' The Daily Mail contacted Holly's representatives for comment at the time. She has long been a familiar face on both ITV and ITV2, hosting shows including Surprise Surprise, Celebrity Juice, The Games, The Xtra Factor, and I'm A Celebrity. Holly is arguably best known for having fronted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield from 2009 until 2023, while she also helmed Dancing On Ice from 2006.

Ozzy Osbourne's final months captured in two new documentaries as BBC and Paramount 'race to air unseen footage' following his death aged 76
Two documentaries charting the final years of Ozzy Osbourne are understood to be in a race to be aired following his death at the age of 76 following a battle with Parkinson's disease. The BBC and Paramount+ are said to be producing documentaries on the Black Sabbath star after filmmakers were given access to him for the final three years of his life. According to The Sun, both broadcasters are eager to be the first one to get their documentary released because interest will be high following Ozzy's passing. A source said: 'At this stage it's looking like the BBC might just pip Paramount+ to the post. 'But both organisations are keen to be the first to get them out there because they understand just how hugely popular Ozzy was and how well received these shows will be. 'Of course, there's an element of competition there, but their main priorities are producing two shows that are respectful and that the Osbourne family approve of.' MailOnline has contacted the BBC and Paramount+ for comment. Paramount+ announced their Ozzy documentary Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now earlier this year. The company said it will be 'a deeply personal portrait of the rock legend's harsh new realities and his battle to take the stage for one final performance.' The final performance the film will document was Black Sabbath's Back to the Beginning show in Birmingham on July 5 - just 17 days before the singer's death. The BBC, meanwhile, are said to be putting the final touches on their documentary - originally called Home To Roost - and will follow the Osbourne's return to live in England after years in LA. Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's during this time but filmmakers were permitted to carry on with the documentary. A third documentary on Ozzy is said to be in the works from Sony but that is not expected to be released until next year. According to his death certificate, the singer died from an 'acute myocardial infarction' and 'out of hospital cardiac arrest'. Ozzy was laid to rest on the grounds of his own mansion in Buckinghamshire last week during a private funeral attended by his family and a host of rock royalty. His widow Sharon, 72, and their children were joined by stars including Marilyn Manson and Ozzy's lead guitarist Zakk Wylde during the event at the family's 250-acre estate near Gerrards Cross. The concert - three weeks before his death - saw him reunite with his original Black Sabbath bandmates for the first time since 2005. More than 42,000 fans packed into the venue for the Back To The Beginning show, during which he told the crowd in his final speech: 'You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart.'
