Sign up for the Rangers newsletter Sign up 2 Charlie Adam with David Moyes Credit: Reuters 2 Fir Park, Motherwell Credit: Kenny Ramsay He was previously head coach at Fleetwood Town - and now the Daily Record say he could be set to return north of the border in the top job at Fir Park. We told you yesterday how Central Coast Mariners boss Mark Jackson had emerged as a shock candidate for the job. Leeds-born Jackson, a former defender who mainly played in England's lower leagues, has spent the past three years Down Under after previously bossing MK Dons. He has won an A-League Premiership and Championship as well as the Asian Champions League Two title. In the 2023-24 season Jackson and the Mariners won a Double, emulating ex-Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou who achieved the feat with Brisbane Road in 2010-11. Jackson took over from Nick Montgomery who had left to become manager of Hibs following the club's A-League Grand Final victory. The 47-year-old honed his coaching talents working at Leeds United, where he came through the ranks as a player. The Fir Park side were rocked when Michael Wimmer chose to step down from the club. He departed at the end of the season for family reasons to join SVV Jahn Regensburg. Robbie Neilson and Tony Docherty have also been linked with the position but the 'Well board have shown they're unafraid to look outwith the usual contenders for the role. Rodrygo's Arsenal transfer stance emerges after private Xabi Alonso meeting
Arsenal are among the clubs who have been linked with a move for Rodrygo but the Real Madrid forward has made it clear that he is more than happy at the Bernabeu Rodrygo has dropped the clearest hint yet that he is poised to remain at Real Madrid after holding talks with the club's new head, coach, Xabi Alonso.. Arsenal have been heavily linked with the talented Brazil forward, who finished the 2024-25 season out of favour. There was even speculation that the 24-year-old had played his final game for the Spanish giants after he was omitted from the Copa del Rey final by Carlo Ancelotti, who has since gone on to take up a new role with the Brazil team. The uncertainty over Rodrygo's future has fuelled transfer talk and Arsenal are in the market for a wide forward this summer. But while the Gunners' interest in Rodrygo has emerged in recent weeks, the player himself has seemingly sent a message to his potential suitors and Real Madrid via social media. The former Santos man shared a snap on social media of himself enjoying training with the caption "happy", complete with a white heart emoji. And Marca report that is very much the case with Rodrygo said to be 'back on track' after recently holding talks with Alonso, who has succeeded Ancelotti at the helm. While Rodrygo is seemingly pleased at the prospect of kickstarting his career at the Bernabeu under Alonso, his stance will come as a major blow for Arsenal, who have earmarked the versatile forward as a top target. The Londoners are looking to add more firepower to Mikel Arteta's squad after finishing second in the Premier League for a third successive season with a new No.9 also on their summer wishlist. Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres are the two candidates to come in and lead the line and both are expected to leave their respective clubs this summer. Join the debate! Would Rodrygo be a good signing for Arsenal? Let us know here As well as interest in Rodrygo, who would strengthen Arsenal in the wide forward areas, the club are also said to be keen on Nico Williams and Anthony Gordon. Williams, the Athletic Bilbao winger, is a long-term target and has other suitors across Europe, too. However, a deal for the Spain international, coupled with his salary demands, could be out of reach for Arsenal.

Man Utd fans react as adidas unveil new home kit influenced by Old Trafford
Ruben Amorim is preparing for his first full season in charge of Manchester United and the team will hope for a fresh start in their new 2025-26 kit, which has paid homage to their iconic Old Trafford stadium Manchester United fans have hailed their new 2025-26 home kit as "a classic already" and hope it will see the team's fortunes reversed after a difficult campaign in 2024-25. The Red Devils could only finish 15th in the Premier League after a turbulent season under both Erik ten Hag and successor Ruben Amorim, losing a total of 18 matches. United also suffered heartache in the Europa League final as they were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham, meaning they missed out on Champions League football next season - but the team will be hopeful they can turn over a new leaf under Amorim in their new strip. The Adidas shirt is influenced by their iconic Old Trafford stadium, with an "abstract sleeve graphic" symbolising elements of the pitch, stands and tunnel. There is a V-neck collar laced with black edges and a white stripe going through the middle - and the same detail is seen on the edges of the sleeves. The kit also has black stripes running down the shoulders and the words "Theatre of Dreams" on the back of the shirt. Fans have been left impressed by the design, as one said: "A bold, clean and burning red [kit] that screams power, pride and a new era! Eager to see the away kit." Another said: "Forever red. This one's a classic already," while a third added: "I really like this, simple but with just enough flair." Another wrote: "Excited to see the new home kit honouring Old Trafford. Looking forward to the new season with adidas." Adidas chief Juergen Rank said they wanted to design a shirt that paid tribute to the club's DNA, playing on their iconic red colours. "The colour red is fundamental to the club's DNA. There have been many different expressions of it over the years and for this season we wanted to do something a little different, using the sleeves as a canvas. "The abstract graphic stays true to the club's DNA while providing an innovative look at feel to an otherwise classy and classic jersey." The shirt is available to buy on Manchester United's official website and will cost £85. For the 'authentic' version of the jersey, the price is £120.
