Jessica Simpson Shared an Update on Her Eric Johnson Split During a Surprise Concert
The Employee of the Month actress took to the stage at the Luck Reunion festival on Friday in a sleeveless animal print bustier dress with a sweetheart neckline–a similar look to the leopard print jumpsuit she wore at the airport a few days earlier. She styled the bold midi-length style with a low-slung silver and turquoise belt featuring an ornate buckle, a cream crochet cardigan, and statement turquoise rings and bracelets. Simpson topped off her look with layers of necklaces including a choker and a large ornamental silver and turquoise piece, middle-parted blonde waves, and a bronzed complexion.
Ahead of the release of her first album in 16 tears, Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1, on March 21, Simpson performed "Use My Heart Against Me," "Leave," and "Sunday Lover' from her upcoming EP, as well as her Dukes of Hazzard cover of Nancy Sinatra's 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin'.' Her surprise appearance on Friday comes just hours after she debuted four new tracks at the Recording Academy's Austin Chapter Block Party on March 12.
Simpson reportedly opened up about her marriage with Johnson during the show as she shared that her 'heart [was] wide open' while recording her upcoming album in Nashville. 'I was in a very intuitive state and I had asked some very personal questions on the home front and I found out that my world had been turned upside down and that life was now very different,' she told the crowd.
'You know, when we open our hearts, sometimes we're vulnerable and it just gets broken and maybe sometimes we forget that we've been broken for a really long time,' she added.
Emphasizing that she was currently a 'very single lady,' Simpson revealed that she'd found healing by getting back into writing music. Before performing her son 'Leave,' which she introduced as a 'kind of a heartbreak, pissed-off song,' she shared, 'When we meet ourselves, when we write, when we sing, when we connect with ourselves, we find all the answers."

The Oscar winner, 49, posted an Instagram carousel about parenting her children while navigating a successful career in Hollywood. The actress shares daughter Ava Phillippe, 25, and son Deacon Phillippe, 21, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, and son Tennessee James Toth, 12, with her ex Jim Toth. In the Thursday, Aug. 14, Instagram post, the Big Little Lies actress began with a selfie posing with all three children. The text overlay read: 'Someone asked me what raising three kids and building a career in Hollywood looked like…' 'It looked like spending a lot of time in trailers together," she wrote on top of a selfie of her and Tennessee smiling in what appeared to be a trailer together. She continued sharing images of herself with each of her children, highlighting different and unusual elements of being a mother in Hollywood. Her next photo was a throwback selfie of her with Ava and Deacon in the back seat of a car. 'It looked like always being on the road together," The Morning Show actress wrote. She then shared a screenshot of a cheeky text between her and Ava, when her daughter informed her that she 'butt-dialed an Instagram live.' Witherspoon joked, 'It looked like my kids constantly giving me career advice!' The Oscar winner then confessed that 'it looked really hard sometimes.' 'I'd cry working 14 to 17 hours, sometimes all night long and still woke up early for carpool. I was deliriously tired,' she wrote. 'It looked like trying to say something positive about work when I got home at night. So my kids would know that my work was meaningful to me and could be fun!' As she capped off the post, she included a final throwback image with Ava, and wrote, 'In conclusion, even though it was challenging at times, having kids gave me perspective about what was important in life.' 'Nothing was better than getting to come home and hug them and hear about their day!' 'Grateful to stand alongside other moms in this beautiful, messy journey.💕,' she captioned the Instagram post. 'Tag the working mom who needs this. ☺️.' Witherspoon has been open about motherhood over the years. She said in a November 2021 InStyle interview with Gayle King that her kids are her "first, most important priority.' She added, "If I told you how much space in my brain they take up every day — do you even think they know, Gayle? I don't even think they know." The year prior, she told Drew Barrymore on her eponymous talk show, that although balancing motherhood with the demands of her career hasn't been easy, it has "truly worth it." "There's a lot of compromise ... You feel like that's what makes me wake up on a Sunday, it's not movies or my job, it's my kids," the actress said in the September 2020 interview. "Being a mom is really great, it's a big part of my life. I would say it's the biggest part of my life." Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

When 'Americana' Will Be Available to Stream and How to Watch
A lot of summer blockbusters have been released lately, like Superman, Jurassic World Rebirth, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But if you're looking for something a little smaller and a little less CGI, you might want to check out the Western-thriller-heist film Americana. The debut feature from director Tony Tost is about a group of people in South Dakota, who are all trying to get their hands on a valuable Lakota ghost shirt said to be worth a million dollars. The cast includes Sydney Sweeney, Halsey, Paul Walter Hauser, Zahn McClarnon, and Simon Rex. Curious to see pop singer Halsey in an acting role? Intrigued by the idea of Sweeney playing a diner waitress/wannabe country singer? Read on to find out when and where you can check out Americana. Americana will be in theaters starting Friday, August 15. As is usually the case with theatrical releases, early showings will start in many cinemas the day before. But while Americana is hitting theaters now, it's actually a 2023 movie. It premiered at South by Southwest two years ago. According to Deadline, the delay may have been due to financial issues involving one of the film's production companies. If you want to watch Americana at your local theater—woohoo, popcorn! woohoo, helping movie theaters stay in business!—simply look up the showtimes and get going. You can buy tickets from your theater's website, on Fandango, or in person. You will be able to watch Americana at home, it's just a question of when. Americana is distributed by Lionsgate. The John Wick spinoff Ballerina, which was also distributed by Lionsgate, was made available on Video-on-Demand (meaning, you can pay to rent it on a platform like Amazon Prime Video) about a month after its theatrical release. You can expect something similar for Americana. As for streaming, Lionsgate movies tend to go to Starz first, followed by Peacock. To again use Ballerina as a reference point, it premiered in theaters June 6 and is not streaming on either of those platforms as of mid-August. So, it could be a few months if you're looking to stream Americana. How badly do you want to find out what goes down with that ghost shirt?
