Jessica Simpson reveals if she is still speaking with estranged husband Eric Johnson after 'revenge' album
Jessica Simpson is shedding light on where things stand with her estranged husband Eric Johnson amid their divorce and swirling cheating rumors. The pair announced their split in January after nearly 11 years of marriage and three children together, and Simpson has since hinted at infidelity on Johnson's part in her fiery comeback track Leave. In early April, the I Wanna Love You Forever singer, 44, and the former NFL star, 45, were spotted reuniting with their daughters Maxwell, 12, and Birdie, five, and son Ace, 11 — along with what looked like Eric's parents — signaling the two are working to co-parent despite the drama. Now, a source reveals that Jessica and Eric are on surprisingly good terms. 'They are getting along well and everyone seems to be very happy,' the insider shared with USWeekly on Thursday. 'They talk and see each other all the time and have decided that no matter what happens, they will get along for the kids.' Despite the fact that neither has filed official divorce papers yet, the source made one thing clear: 'Right now there is no talk of getting back together.' But they didn't shut the door entirely, teasing, 'With Jessica and Eric, you never know.' 'They love each other and will always be supportive of one another,' the insider added. ' 'For now, Jessica and Eric will be at a lot of holidays and birthdays together and just navigating their new truth.' Simpson — who once famously called Eric her 'sexual shaman' — came back swinging with Leave, a track dripping with breakup venom. The lyrics pull no punches:'What we had was magic / Now you've made it tragic / Giving her what you gave to me / Now the well that you drank from is empty.' She digs even deeper, singing: 'Your weakness made me lonely / Unholy matrimony / Did you do to her what you did to me? Was she on her knees? / She's everything but me.' And she lands the final blow: 'I want you to leave / I don't even wanna breathe the air you breathe / I am stronger on my own / So hold on / I'm letting you go.' Last month, Jessica opened up onstage at the Luck Reunion about confronting Eric just before things fell apart, saying her world 'turned upside down' after she followed her gut and asked 'some very personal questions on the home front.' These days, Simpson is embracing her single status, telling fans she's a 'very single lady.' While their split may feel sudden to the public, whispers of trouble began as early as November 2024 when Jessica teased her new music on Instagram, writing, 'This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve..' Simpson was previously married to 98 Degrees frontman Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006, a relationship immortalized on their reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.

"Hey @axstv why would you take a photo from someone else's feed (my friend @marthacasselbodell ) & then make stuff up?" she commented April 18. "I still take care of my husband (Lukas has always been there for us as has his brother @particlekid ) and love it. Then you claim our incorrect ages. Don't do that Just ask." D'Angelo, 68, and Nelson have been married since 1991.

Jessica Simpson credits snakes for vocal improvement and reveals unusual vocal remedy
Jessica Simpson recently shared an unusual vocal tip, revealing that her vocal coach once advised her to drink a honey-based remedy containing snake sperm to improve her singing voice. In a March 28 Instagram video, the singer and fashion mogul, 44, recalled the moment she discovered the unexpected ingredient. 'They're like, 'What are you drinking?'' she said. 'It's, like, this Chinese herb thing … My vocal coach told me to drink it.' After her friends looked up the ingredients, she realized snake sperm was listed. 'If you want a good vocal, you gotta drink snake sperm!' she joked. Simpson's post, captioned '🎤🐍🧪', comes as she promotes her first record in 15 years, an EP titled Nashville Canyon, Part 1. She described the project as a deeply personal reflection on her journey, free from industry expectations. 'God told me I needed to feel the fear and do it anyway,' she wrote in a recent Instagram post. The EP, according to Simpson, is a response to the end of her marriage to former NFL player Eric Johnson, with whom she shares three children. She confirmed their separation in January after a decade together but emphasized their commitment to co-parenting. During a March performance at the Luck Reunion in Texas, Simpson spoke about writing Nashville Canyon while navigating emotional upheaval. 'I found out my world had been turned upside down,' she said, explaining how the songwriting process helped her process heartbreak and rediscover herself.

Jessica Simpson Admits Her World ‘Turned Upside Down' After Splitting From Eric Johnson
With her return to music now underway, Jessica Simpson is taking time to open up about her split from her husband of a decade, Eric Johnson. Simpson surprised fans with an intimate performance of songs from her new EP, 'Nashville Canyon Pt. 1,' at Texas' Luck Reunion festival last week. During the set, the singer and reality television personality alluded to the demise of her relationship with Johnson, with whom she shares three children. 'I was out in Nashville and I had my heart wide open, I was in a very intuitive state and I had to ask some very personal questions on the home front,' Simpson explained, as seen in TikTok footage of the show. 'I found out that my world had been turned upside down, and that life was now very different. I am a very single lady.' Though Simpson didn't mention Johnson by name, she added: 'When we open our hearts, sometimes we're vulnerable, and it just gets broken. And maybe sometimes we forget that we've been broken for a really long time, but when we meet ourselves — when we write, when we sing, when we connect with ourselves — we find all the answers.' She then launched into her first-ever live performance of her new single, 'Leave,' which she described as 'a heartbreak, pissed-off song.' Released earlier this month, 'Leave' features lyrics that hint at a romantic partner's infidelity. 'Your weakness made me lonely, unholy matrimony,' Simpson sings on the track. 'I'd rather die than let you be inside me with her on your mind.' Johnson and Simpson confirmed in January that they'd gone their separate ways after 10 years of marriage. 'Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,' Simpson said in a Jan. 14 statement. 'Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.' Due out Friday, 'Nashville Canyon Pt. 1' is Simpson's first release of original music since her 2008 album, 'Did You Know.' Simpson unveiled several of the new songs ― as well as covers of Nancy Sinatra's 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin'' and Dusty Springfield's 'Son of a Preacher Man' ― at South by Southwest (SXSW) last week. A second EP, 'Nashville Canyon Pt. 2,' is currently slated to drop this summer. Speaking to People last month, Simpson said she wasn't disheartened by the end of her marriage, 'I am strong. Maybe I'm just meant to love a lot of people in my life.' Still, she added: 'Having this creative outlet, it's like your heart breaks and you go into a songwriting session – like going straight into therapy. I have always said it was cheesy when people said the music saved my life but it truly saved mine.'
