Budget Samsung watch gets £60 price slash as Apple alternative at 'lowest price' on Argos
'I was skeptical at first, but this watch is just as good as the higher end ones.'
Amazon has slashed £60 off their budget-friendly fitness tracker.

While Samsung is known for their tablets, smartphones and earbuds, the Android tech company also produces a popular smart watch range. Allowing users to receive their notifications and track their fitness at the same time, these gadgets have continued to gain popularity over the years.
As a result, new upgraded models are being released every year - and not just from Samsung. Apple, Google and budget friendly brands are also releasing new smart watches that include more and more features. However, many of these latest releases - especially from high end brands - can come with a hefty price tag.
As many people won't be able to afford the brightest and sharpest device, Samsung has also designed a watch that is an affordable option for shoppers on a budget. The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE normally retails for £169, but Amazon has just slashed the price down to £99 in an exclusive deal.

This price drop just happens to coincide with Argos dropping Apple's alternative - the Apple Watch SE - to their 'lowest ever price' of £169.
Crafted with sapphire glass, the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE was built to last as this material means it can withstand bashes and cracks when worn, reports the Express. For those who are wanting to keep an eye on their health, the FE watch comes with a sleep coaching feature which will analyse a user's sleep patterns.
While providing safety and comfort while shoppers rest, the watch is also able to track over 100 workouts, including yoga and swimming. Additionally, if wearers forget to start a timer at the beginning of an activity, the watch is able to automatically recognise and log the movement.

With features to analyse your sleep patterns and track 100 different activities, this easy to use watch will become your fitness companion. Available in blue and pink at the reduced price, this watch was built to last as it features sapphire crystal glass.
While there are three colours available - black, pink and blue - only the latter two colours have been given a discounted price. Fans of the black model will unfortunately need to splash a bit more cash on their purchase as it is priced at £137.
For shoppers loyal to Android, Amazon has also slashed the price of the Google Pixel Watch 3. Normally retailing for £349, shoppers can now grab the watch in either black, grey, pink or porcelain for £299. Using Google AI, the watch uses your goals, past runs and readiness to create personalised run recommendations with real-time coaching.
Alternatively, Argos has dropped the Apple Watch SE down to their 'lowest price ever' of £169. Available in blue or black, this fitness tracker watch has a water resistance of 50m and comes with three months of Apple Fitness+ for free.
Back to the Samsung Watch FE, Amazon shoppers have given the gadget a 3.9 star rating and it has been bought by over 300 people in the last month. While many shoppers were impressed by the device's ability to track their fitness goals, a few shoppers did grumble about the battery life.
Only the blue and pink editions are included in the sale.

One happy Amazon shopper said: "Is a fantastic smartwatch with fitness tracking, health monitoring, and smooth Bluetooth connectivity. It's lightweight, stylish, and offers great battery life. The interface is user-friendly, and it syncs seamlessly with Samsung devices."
With another adding: "This watch is very accurate! Charges fast, the app works brill with my Samsung phone, quality seems good. Easily measures and identifies what stroke I'm doing in the pool. Very happy."
However, a few shoppers weren't impressed by the battery life of the watch. One person wrote: "I brought this to replace my old Fitbit. Sadly I am really disappointed with the battery life. I literally have to charge it EVERY day. Which is bad when I already have the watch on power saving mode."
With another customer agreeing: "I like the watch but the battery life is terrible. For a new watch I would expect the battery to last more than one day. It loses over 40 percent overnight while I'm asleep."
Despite this gripe, a five-star reviewer wrote: "I was skeptical at first, but this watch is just as good as the higher end ones. Made a perfect gift for my wife. It looks very sleek and has all feature of other watches. Battery life is two to three days with moderate use."
While another person commented: "Easy to set up even for a 74year old technodummy like me. Battery isn't as bad as some reviewers suggest. Fully charged first thing in the morning, wearing it all day and to bed overnight leaves it at 40 percent the next morning."

Unlock cheaper shopping bills and holidays with genius Apple ‘AI tricks' that work on your iPhone, iPad and Mac
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) APPLE fans can slash their shopping bills and find cheap holidays using their gadget's built-in AI tricks. It's perfect if you've got an iPhone, iPad or Mac computer lying around at home – just waiting for a free AI upgrade. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 13 Your Apple gadgets have some handy AI tricks that you might be missing out on Credit: Apple 13 You can create a fun emoji for your bedtime stories Credit: Sean Keach 13 Then you can generate an entire bedtime story based on your virtual character Credit: Sean Keach The Sun can reveal five clever tricks that work using Apple Intelligence, and they only take a few seconds each. The only note is that you'll need an Apple gadget that actually supports Apple Intelligence. That includes: iPhone 15 Pro iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone 16 iPhone 16 Plus iPhone 16 Pro iPhone 16 Pro Max iPhone 16e iPad Pro (M1 and later) iPad Air (M1 and later) iPad mini (A17 Pro) MacBook Air/Pro (M1 and later) iMac/Mac Mini (M1 and later) Mac Studio (M1 Max and later) Mac Pro (M2 Ultra) Apple AI Trick #1 – BEDTIME STORIES Your iPhone can create bedtime stories for kids. It's a perfect parenting hack. Just go into Messages, bring up the keyboard, tap on Genmoji, then create a funny character. Maybe it's a squirrel with a shovel or an elephant in a chef's hat. This will be your character. Now go into Notes, tap on Writing Tools, then choose Compose with ChatGPT, and ask for a short story about your elephant chef – and say they're going on an adventure. It'll create the story, which you can then illustrate by dropping the Genmoji at the top. Or you could even go into Apple's Image Playground app and make a full picture, then paste that in instead. It's perfect for bedtime because you can have a different story every night. Apple interview with Greg Joz Joswiak on new artificial intelligence, screening, hold assist, carplay, liquid glass and ios updates Apple AI Trick #2 – HOLIDAY PLANNER Another easy trick is letting Apple's AI plan your holiday – or at least the itinerary. This one works on iPhone and iPad, but we tried it on Mac. Just double-click the Command button on your keyboard to bring up Siri. Then type in your request, like asking for a three-day hiking trip in the Cotswolds. 13 You can type to Siri and ask for help with holiday planning Credit: Sean Keach 13 Siri can use ChatGPT to generate a holiday itinerary in seconds Credit: Sean Keach You could even ask for a budget-friendly holiday with cheap activities to save money. Let Siri send your request to ChatGPT and it'll make a full itinerary that you can drop straight into a document. And you can even generate a fun AI pic to go with it too using Apple's Image Playground feature. Apple AI Trick #3 – SKETCH EXPERT I'm hopeless at drawing, but AI isn't. HOW DOES CHATGPT WORK ON IPHONE? Here's the official guidance from Apple... "Siri can tap into ChatGPT for certain requests, including questions about photos or documents," Apple explained. "And with Compose in Writing Tools, you can create and illustrate original content from scratch. "You control when ChatGPT is used and will be asked before any of your information is shared. Anyone can access ChatGPT for free, without creating an account. "ChatGPT subscribers can connect accounts to access paid features within these experiences." Picture Credit: Apple There's a clever trick that turns your own sketches into art – and it works using the Apple Pencil on an iPad. Draw something rough in the Notes app – we sketched a terrarium – and then write what it is next to it. Now go into the Apple Pencil menu, choose the AI button, and circle your creation. And in just a few seconds, it'll transform what you've drawn into a proper sketch. You can even swipe through several options to find the perfect one. 13 Even a very average sketch can be transformed using Apple's AI Credit: Sean Keach 13 You can convert your drawings into impressive pieces of art in the Notes app Credit: Sean Keach It's a nice way to illustrate your notes quickly. Another handy tip: if you draw a shape like a square, circle, or star, and leave the Apple Pencil tip pressed to the screen at the end, it'll neaten it up for you. So your rough circle will snap to become perfectly round in an instant. This also works with drawing arrows too. Apple AI Trick #4 – PHOTO CLEAN-UP Fourth is Clean Up, which is built into Apple's default Photos app on your iPhone. 13 You can use Clean Up to remove almost any object from a scene Credit: Sean Keach It's a handy way to scrub unwanted objects from your pics. Maybe you've snapped Big Ben but there's a tourist in the way, or someone has photobombed your perfect selfie. Just go into the photo, tap on the edit button, and then choose the Clean Up option. Then you can tap on, rub over, or circle the object that you want to delete. 13 If you spot something unwanted in your photo, just get rid of it virtually Credit: Sean Keach 13 Just circle, scrub or tap the object that you want to remove Credit: Sean Keach 13 Clean Up will delete the object in seconds – replacing it with background Credit: Sean Keach Give it a few seconds and it should vanish from view, replaced by what the AI thinks should've been in the spot. If it doesn't work perfectly on the first go, you can give it a few more passes with Clean Up to get it right. And you can always revert back to the original image at any time if you don't like the edited version. Apple AI Trick #5 – SHOPPING HACK Lastly, there's a handy trick called Visual Intelligence that's great for shopping. First, you'll want to load it up. One way is to go into Settings > Action Button and set it to activate from your Action Button. Or if you have an iPhone with a Camera Control button, you can just hold that down instead. Now snap a pic of an object. We tried it on a Labubu, which is a massively popular collectible toy. 13 You can scan almost anything using Visual Intelligence – and then see if Google can find it online Credit: Sean Keach 13 You can find the cheapest prices or lookalike alternatives for loads of products, including clothes and furniture Credit: Sean Keach But it also works just fine on clothes or furniture that you like too. The AI will identify what it's seeing, and then show you a load of places that you can buy it online. You can then find the best price for the exact item you're looking at. And it'll usually also surface similar-looking items if you snap clothes or furniture, so it's a clever way to find cheap 'dupes' of expensive items that you like.
