WATCH: Ohio State football players answer rapid-fire questions from Big Ten Network

It's an annual tradition at the Big Ten Network to jump on the bus and visit every conference member's training camp shortly after Big Ten media days are over. It makes a nice bridge between the media circus and the start of the college football season, and it also provides some insight and a peek behind the curtain of all the teams in the league. Last week, BTN visited the banks of the Olentangy to dive into the defending College Football Playoff national champions, and it even spent some time with some of the guys to get their thoughts and reflections on some things from last season and moving forward into this one. It's a short segment, but the "Big Ten Football" X page threw out some rapid-fire questions to Jeremiah Smith, Caleb Downs, Carnell Tate, and Kenyetta Jackson to share with the masses. The questions center on a favorite moment from last season, where the championship rings are, who was the coolest person to text them after the CFP win, and more. We are over six months away from all the confetti falling in Atlanta, and here's to hoping that Ohio State can go on another little run this year to try and make it back-to-back national titles. That journey begins on Saturday, Aug. 30 vs. Texas.

Four Ohio State football players named to The Athletic's preseason All-American teams

We are just two weeks away from seeing YOUR Ohio State football team race out of the tunnel to host the No. 1 Texas Longhorns, but we're still seeing some preseason accolades and honors for members of the defending College Football Playoff national champions. There's a duo that has made almost every preseason list or honor that they're eligible for, and that occurred again with the release of "The Athletic's" 2025 Preseason All-American college football team (subscription may be required) this week. And yeah, you can probably make a pretty educated guess that wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and safety Caleb Downs are on the first-team, like every other preseason All-American squad, but there are two other Buckeyes also mentioned. Joining Smith and Downs on the first team is linebacker Sonny Styles. He's been mentioned on other preseason teams as well, and is expected to build upon his stellar back-end of the schedule run from last year. Joining the trio as being honored by "The Athletic" is tight end Max Klare on the second team. He too is expected to be one of the best tight ends in the country and plug right into an Ohio State passing game that should be extremely dangerous, especially with all of the attention Smith and Carnell Tate will get on the outside. Ohio State is tied for the lead with four players named by "The Athletic," joining Clemson and Georgia, and is one player ahead of Alabama, LSU, Penn State, and Texas with three players each. The season kicks off for Ohio State on Aug. 30 when it hosts the Longhorns at Noon ET in the 'Shoe. Former Ohio State player highlights and moments from the first week of the NFL preseason

It's no secret that Ohio State is an NFL football factory. The Buckeyes have sent a slew of players to the game's highest level, and it's not just a recent thing -- though that too has been the case with 14 players being selected in the NFL draft off of last year's College Football Playoff national championship squad. We like to take a little peek into some of the NFL action after Saturdays are done during the college football season, and with the preseason already kicking off this past weekend, it seems like a good time to check in to see what former Buckeyes are doing in the NFL as things continue towards the start of the 2025-2026 NFL calendar. There are plenty of former Ohio State football players littered across NFL rosters, and many are fighting for either a spot or a larger role within their team. At other times, some are well established but still queueing up the highlight machine, even early on as things get rollin.' Here's a look at some of the best moments and highlights from former Ohio State players doing showing up and showing out during Week 1 of the NFL preseason. TreVeyon Henderson takes it the distance Henderson is a big play waiting to happen, and he showed that immediately by taking his first touch 100 yards for a touchdown. You can expect the Patriots to try and get the ball to him a lot this year to take advantage of his game-breaking ability. Once a Buckeye ... The brotherhood is real. You see these types of meet-ups and camaraderie every time Ohio State players meet up in the NFL and beyond. Justin Fields settles in Looks like Fields wore a "jersey" to the stadium for his Jets debut before he slipped on the real thing. We'll see more from him in a moment. Jack Sawyer in the black and gold If you ever wondered what Jack Sawyer would look like as an Iowa Hawkeye, here's your chance. All jokes aside, Sawyer looks the part and had flashes in his first action for the Steelers. Emeka Egbuka from the Bucks to the Bucs Look, finally, a football player that looks normal walking into a game. Some of these guys get awfully weird with their wardrobes once money is no option. Ebugka is endearing himself awfully well to his teammates and fans already down in Tampa, and it's just the beginning. Egbuka hauls in his first catch You can bet that this will be the first of many. I have zero doubt that Ebguka is going to thrive down in Tampa, and we'll be talking about him a lot! Fields showing off that athletic ability And ... this is what Fields brings to the table for New York. If he can find some chemistry with his wide receivers, look out for a breakout year. Trey Sermon finds pay dirt It'll probably be hard for Sermon to carve out a significant role in the Steel City, but finding the end zone more often certainly doesn't hurt. Three Buckeyes flying high for the Jets If you are an Ohio State fan, there are a few teams that are now appointment television, with the latest being the New York Jets, which have a trio ready to improve the passing game in the Big Apple.
