The point guard has re-signed with the Rockets for a 2-year long and $50 million contract. This happened after the team decided to decline his $44.9 million team option just a day before this revelation.

open to future deals, as they are saving significant money with this deal. The deal also includes a player option for 2026-27 for VanVleet, and thus is a win-win situation for both him as well as the team.
