Peter Phillips, 47, is engaged to Harriet Sperling after a year of dating
Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips is engaged to be married after a year of dating girlfriend Harriet Sperling. Peter was previously married to Autumn Kelly, the mother of his two daughters Isla and Savannah.

And before his romance with NHS nurse Sperling, he was dating long-term partner Lindsay Wallace. Peter's engagement to the paediatric specialist nurse and writer has been confirmed, with his uncle King Charles and Prince William informed and 'delighted'.

The happy news comes just days after sister Zara celebrated her 14th wedding anniversary with husband Mike Tindall.

A statement on behalf of the couple read: "Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement.
"Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement. Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have been informed of the announcement. No date has been officially set for the wedding."
A series of pictures in Hello! show the pair as they pose for the camera, with Harriet's ring taking centre stage.

The couple's romance was first reported just over a year ago, when they appeared together at theBadminton Horse Trials along with the Princess Royal, Zara and Queen Camilla.
Onlookers at the equestrian event shared that the duo appeared to be thoroughly enjoying each other's company, strolling leisurely and soaking up the weekend's glorious sunshine.

"He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world," an onlooker said at the time.
Harriet made her debut at Royal Ascot this year when she was part of the royal procession, travelling in a carriage with the family, a sign of the seriousness of the relationship.
Peter, 47, was revealed to have split from long term partner Lindsay in April 2024 due to issues caused by work commitments.

Four years previously, it was announced that his marriage to ex-wife Autumn was over after the pair were married in May 2008 at a huge ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor, attended by the likes of the late Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Harry.
Peter and Autumn lived in Hong Kong, where he worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland, before returning to the UK with their daughters.

In 2021 the couple's divorce was finalised "amicably" and they released a statement explaining "Whilst this is a sad day for Peter and Autumn, they continue to put the wellbeing and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla first and foremost.
"Both Peter and Autumn are pleased to have resolved matters amicably with the children firmly at the forefront of those thoughts and decisions.
"Peter and Autumn have requested privacy and consideration for their children as the family adapts to a new chapter in their lives."

Davina McCall not afraid of dying following tumour removal

In April, the 57-year-old confirmed her 'final MRI' had showed a colloid cyst, which she had removed in November 2024, is 'not coming back', after it was found when she was offered a health check-up as part of her menopause advocacy work. Talking to Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast, McCall said: 'I am not afraid of dying anymore and it was the biggest journey of my life. From August 23 to November 24 was an amazing time where something changed. 'Begin Again, the podcast I started to help other people on their journey of living a life that they love enough to feel on their deathbed, whenever that may be, that I have no regrets. 'I have lived the life I wanted, and I'm not lying there going, 'I wish I'd done that thing, wish I'd done that job, I wish I'd not stayed in this relationship', all of those I haven't lived the life I want (things), and Begin Again is about just begin again and live the life you want.' Davina McCall does fear how her family would cope when she dies McCall, who is a judge on ITV singing show The Masked Singer, said her only concern about death is how her family would cope. Speaking about the time her tumour was found, she added: 'I thought I need to get my brain in the right place and that was to a place where I could be calm, and what did I need to do to do that? Were my kids going to be okay if I didn't make it? That's all I really cared about. 'I knew Michael (Douglas, her partner), Michael's a whole person, Michael's Michael, but I was really worried about my kids. 'I went forensic on thinking about my children and where they were at in their life, what stage they were at. You're only as happy as your unhappiest child, right? 'I came to a realisation after about six months of cross-examining them about their life and telling them the whole time how much I've loved my life. My eldest daughter kept caught on. She was like, 'you are not dying', I was like, 'no, no, no', I realised that they would be great. 'They'd miss me and I want to be with them but they would be okay. I felt like I could go to sleep on the operating table and know that they were all here to help me, but I can let go of the outcome and it was the best gift. I am not afraid of dying.' Tumour removal was 'hardest thing' Davina McCall has 'ever been through' After her surgery, McCall spent time in intensive care before recovering at home with the help of Douglas. She spoke about the removal of the tumour while co-presenting this year's Red Nose Day for Comic Relief and said it was 'the hardest thing I've ever been through'. What are the symptoms for non-cancerous brain tumours? According to the NHS, non-cancerous brain tumours are more common in people over the age of 50. Symptoms include headaches, vision problems and drowsiness and some can be 'difficult to remove without damaging surrounding tissue'. McCall, the host of reality dating show My Mum, Your Dad, has long advocated for women's health issues and has presented a documentary called Sex, Myths And The Menopause and another on contraception called Davina McCall's Pill Revolution. Recommended reading: She became an MBE in the King's birthday honours for services to broadcasting in 2023 and was given a special recognition gong at the National Television Awards in 2024 for her broadcasting career. How to listen to Happy Place podcast The full interview can be listened to on the Happy Place with Fearne Cotton podcast. This podcast is usually uploaded to YouTube where you can watch Cotton chat with her guests, however, at the time of writing, the Davina McCall episode is not yet available.

Princess Andre shares sad reason she couldn't speak to dad Peter about mum Katie Price

Katie Price and Peter Andre's daughter Princess has revealed that she cried herself to sleep instead of speaking to her dad about her mum's issues Princess Andre has revealed the sad reason why she couldn't speak to her dad Peter Andre about her mum Katie Price following their bitter divorce. ‌ In her brand-new ITV series, The Princess Diaries, which airs on Sunday night on ITV, the influencer and model, 18, is set to open up about how her parents' estranged relationship has affected her through her childhood and teenage years. ‌ Earlier this summer, Princess announced the exciting news of the ITV show, which will offer a behind-the-scenes look into her life and burgeoning career as a model, focusing on her relationship with her family. It comes after her mum Katie, 47, revealed that Princess has moved out in another swipe at ex Peter. ‌ In the first episode of her reality TV series, Princess opened up about why she felt she could never speak to her dad, Peter, 52, about her mum following their bitter split and the fact they haven't spoken in years. During the episode, Princess speaks to her mum on the phone while she's away on holiday in Dubai. After the call, Princess admitted that she and her famous mum are more alike that people would think and revealed that they are now closer than ever - with her mum even baring all on FaceTime. ‌ "She had her boobs out," Princess laughed. "She's just casually out of the shower with her top off. Like, she just doesn't care. I never answer the phone to my mum when I'm around people. Because when she's on the phone, she's so unpredictable. "She just lives life. She actually doesn't care and I actually really, really, look up to that. I would love to have that mindset of 'I don't care', because deep down I always do care. I won't show any emotion but then I'll get to my bed and I'll cry and cry and cry. ‌ "On my own, I don't handle it very well but to other people I would seem to fine and so good." Princess went on to address not being able to talk to her dad Peter about her mum as she revealed that she has been in counselling. "I do have a counsellor and I do sometimes see her every now and again. But I don't feel like I can really ever talk so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish that I could have had a more happier childhood," Princess admitted. The 18-year-old told the cameras that she had 'so much on her plate' when it came to navigating her childhood with two famous parents who didn't get along. The influencer went on: "I had so many things on my plate at such a young age. ‌ "I wish sometimes that it wasn't like that and I could have actually enjoyed it and not had things in the back of my mind so young. Obviously, I had amazing times in my childhood, I have so many amazing memories with my mum and my dad, but I also have lots of not-so-good memories of the time when my mum and Kieran split up." ‌ Katie and Kieran officially split in May 2018. While they were married from 2013 to 2021, they separated in 2018, with Katie accusing Kieran of cheating. The divorce proceedings were finalised three years later, in 2021 and the former couple share two children Jett and Bunny. "It happened when I was ten years old and he was in our lives for like five years. So, we got really close to him and obviously we loved him, but he did a lot of stuff and when they split up, everything kind of went downhill with my mum obviously being heartbroken. "She didn't deal with that in the best way. She went through a very, very, dark time which is understandable. But it was hard for me because I was around adult things that kids should never see. ‌ "And I think when we needed our mum there, she wasn't emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on." Princess then confessed that she would bottle up her emotions in public but cry alone at home because she felt she was never able to open up to her dad about how she was feeling, because it was all down to her mum's actions and sadness. ‌ "I remember coming home from school, and I would literally just cry in bed at 11 years old. I would never go speak to my dad about it because the way I've grown up, I obviously know that my mum and my dad don't like each other, which is fair enough, they are not going to. "I could speak about my childhood and everything that happened and I would be absolutely fine, but then, once something sets me off, and when I actually deep everything, it makes me realise. Then it makes me think that maybe I'm still not over everything, and I'm still not healed from what has happened. ‌ "I wouldn't say I'm fully recovered from it, but mum is such a different person now. If you compare her now to how she was back then, she has genuinely really fixed herself. She has apologised to me and I never wanted an apology from her but I think it meant a lot that she kind of acknowledged it. "We're so close now and we do a lot of things together and we talk all the time. I love her. She's like my best friend." The Princess Diaries debuts on ITV2 at 9pm on Sunday.

Mark Labbett paused Celebs Go Dating filming due to health

Channel 4's dating show sees celebrities try to find love with a new group of famous faces looking for 'the one' in each series. Labbett, known on the quiz show as The Beast, admitted he had been 'single for most of my life', before adding: 'I'm a little bit on the spectrum.' The quizzer has diabetes and it was this that forced him to take a break while filming, reports The Mirror. He said: 'One night, I had a hypoglycaemic attack,' adding: 'I might have been a bit grumpy that night. I apologised to everyone after.' The Beast said a nap on set afterwards helped him out. Also while filming, Labbett was reportedly asked 'to read social cues', the newspaper says. Labbett said: 'I went, 'What do you mean?'' He added: ''You don't notice people's emotions when in the room?,' and I said no. There was shock on both sides.' What is a hypoglycaemic attack? The NHS explains: "Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia or a hypo) is usually where your blood sugar (glucose) is below 4mmol/L. It needs to be treated quickly to stop it getting worse, but you can usually treat it yourself." Symptoms of hypoglycaemia include feeling hungry, dizzy or anxious, sweating, shaking and more. You can find out more about hypoglycaemia via the NHS website. Celebs Go Dating lineup The series' lineup includes former Love Island star Olivia Hawkins, former Too Hot to Handle star Louis Russell, Donna Preston from The Sandman and Made In Chelsea's Sam Prince. TV personality Christine McGuinness is also taking part in the show alongside singer and reality star Kerry Katona, and Jon Lee from S Club 7. Recommended reading: Anna Williamson is excited for the new Celebs Go Dating series, saying: 'Get your popcorn ready,' Anna adds. 'We have a 'new' agency this series. We've got amazing celebrities who are so different. They each brought such different challenges for us coaches to work on." She added: 'The challenge this year was trying to keep up with the celebrities and their dating prowess.' Anna continued: 'It was quite challenging to help some of our celebrities unlearn certain behaviours. Some of them didn't know how to even walk into a date and execute it appropriately.'
