Thailand Printmaking Festival comes to Bangkok this July

Time Out19-06-2025
Printmaking used to be the sort of thing your art teacher loved, or that one cousin who still uses an iPod and can't shut up about 'zines'. But this year's Thailand Printmaking Festival isn't just for the print-obsessed. It's for anyone who's ever paused to admire a sticker on a lamp post or traced the grain of a paperback cover. Print is, quite literally, 'everywhere' – and that's precisely the point.
Running July 4-15, from 4pm-10pm daily at Central Chidlom's Event Hall, the festival returns under the quietly radical theme: 'Printing is everywhere.' The premise is simple – print doesn't belong on a pedestal. It lives in our wardrobes, bookshelves, shopping bags, tote bags, Instagram feeds and street corners. It's daily, it's democratic and it's deliciously DIY.
Organised by GroundControl and PPP Studio, this year's edition pulls Bangkok into the fold after its last showing in Chiang Mai's Dream Graff Gallery (2022). With a broader scope and louder presence, the 2025 festival aims not just to show but to 'share' – a communal invitation to press, smudge and roll ink across our daily lives.
What's new to look forward to this year? In addition to a wide range of artworks – from statement pieces to pocket-sized prints – the festival presents a special exhibition uniting 10 artists with 10 distinctive print studios. Each duo brings a unique method to the mix. Weekend workshops will also be held throughout, inviting visitors to create their own prints with ease. More than just a market of towering prints and pocket-sized treasures, the festival also includes:
Exhibition – 10 x 10 Artist x Studio
10 artists, 10 studios, zero rules. Think of it as speed dating with ink. Each pair has co-created pieces that blur the line between studio precision and raw, individual style. Artists: Benzilla / Kitikong / Lolay / Mamablues / Mr.Kreme / Nutkai / Pod Art / Rukkit / Sahred Toy / Yeedin Studios: Archivist / C.A.P / Kienhin / Made By Gyvendore / Mezzpress / Poom Wisidwinyoo / PPP Studio / TNT / Wisut Tae / Witti
Print workshops
Every weekend, the Event Hall turns into a mini factory of trial and error. Expect ink-stained fingers, good-natured swearing and something frame-worthy to take home.
Live print
Watch as jaturun.work brings fish printing (Gyotaku) to life, proving once again that dead things can be strangely beautiful. Then head over to Hello My Name is BKK for a dose of urban wheatpaste rebellion.
Interactive: Rubbing art
A five-metre stretch of textured surfaces begs to be felt, traced and transformed. Pencils, crayons, charcoal – no digital tools in sight.
Printmaker's market
Postcards, zines, shirts, notebooks – the sort of art you can carry, wear or accidentally spill coffee on. Stallholders include: Ppp Studio / Hello Print Friend / Metasit / Prawin Print / Sab / Saratta / Spacebar Zine / Young Print (University) and a delightful host of others.
Because sometimes you want to know 'why' the artist glued fish to paper. Casual, curious and caffeinated conversations about process, politics and print.
Free to enter, free to wander, free to touch things you're normally told not to. Bring your friends, your nan, your inner child. Leave with ink under your nails.

George Clarke breaks silence on new girlfriend as he signs up for Strictly Come Dancing

George Clarke openly admitted to being in a relationship for the first time in his showbiz career just hours before the YouTuber was revealed to be part of this year's Strictly line up George Clarke has revealed the reason why he confirmed his romance with lingerie model Yasmin Amelia just hours before he was announced as part of this year's Strictly Come Dancing line-up. ‌ The 25-year-old YouTuber, who built a loyal following online with his sharp sense of humour, previously kept fans guessing when it came to his relationship status. ‌ Until now, Clarke has often joked about dating mishaps and dodged questions about his love life. But ahead of his glittering BBC ballroom debut, he decided to go public with a girlfriend for the first time. ‌ He explained his reasoning on the Useless Hotline Podcast, saying he wanted to take control of the story before speculation started. He shared: "That's part of the reason why we wanted to say something. Because the two options were, say something. You have full control over how it comes out. "Whatever you say is basically how people find out, or it stays private. [It] just sort of takes all the control out of your hands. But then, I [will] just go on stream after that and be like, that's not true, by the way. But, yeah, she's my girlfriend." Fans first spotted hints of his relationship during a livestream, and quickly figured out that his partner was Yasmin Amelia, also known as Yasmin Bennett, a model signed to J'adore Models with over 30,000 Instagram followers. Clarke himself boasts more than 686,000 followers and previously appeared on the Netflix reality show Inside. While many of his fans celebrated the news of his new romance, others were taken aback. One Reddit user wrote: "Caught me off guard because he is a very private person especially about his dating/love life. Even on the pod he has expressed his desire to keep things private and off socials." However, another wrote: "I heard about this on his stream, and I'm genuinely happy for him!" ‌ Clarke has also addressed speculation about the so-called Strictly Curse, which what fans call the phenomenon of many stars who join the show leaving their partners for someone they've met during the competition. He quickly dismissed the idea that his relationship could be at risk because of his upcoming time on Strictly, and insisted that he went public about his girlfriend because he wanted to be honest with his fans, rather than as a form of damage control. Clarke also accidentally dropped another interesting piece of information on the podcast, hinting at who he might be partnered with on the show. He revealed that he had already met professional dancer Lauren Oakley in rehearsals, saying: "I've not met anyone apart from, I believe her name's Lauren, who was the pro that I met. Because when we had an interview for it, so it's like an hour long interview, and then like an hour long dance session." Oakley, who joined the Strictly pro team in 2022, has previously competed with journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy and singer JB Gill. If Clarke's slip-up means what it seems to imply, she might be guiding the YouTube star through his first ballroom steps.

Kim Kardashian fans flip over her bizarre Korean procedures that include an injection and eyebrow tape

Kim Kardashian fans have flipped out of her latest Instagram post. The reality TV dynamo shared images of several very bizarre procedures that she had done while on vacation with her sister Khloe Kardashian and friends like La La Anthony and Stephanie Shepherd in South Korea. In one image the 44-year-old diva from Calabasas had her arm injected with a purple liquid as she was partially bandaged up. One follower asked if she is being injected with what 'looks like a smoothie' and that is exactly what it looked like: 'What are you injecting into your arm looks like a smoothie.' Other fans were more positive: 'Omgggg gurllll youu goooo❤️.' And then there was this: 'Honestly mood skincare everything there,' as well as this: 'Nice cream Kim you going to look younger again.' In one image the 44-year-old diva from Calabasas had her arm injected with a purple liquid as she was partially bandaged up. One follower asked if she is being injected with what 'looks like a smoothie' and that is exactly what it looked like: 'What are you injecting into your arm looks like a smoothie' There was another shot where she had tape and Band-Aids over her eyebrows which may have meant she was having them dyed. And there were two portraits where she had white stuff on her face, which was likely an exotic facial. Kim did nothing to explain what she was up to as her caption simply read, 'The things we do.' On Monday, she was seen trying out the new Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap from her SKIMS line with La La Anthony and Khloe as they jetted to South Korea. They were on Kim Air, which is the star's private jet. Kim wore a brown fur coat over a sheer body stocking by Saint Laurent with red lipstick. 'When in Korea,' Kim wrote in the caption. Earlier this month Kardashian said she thought her 'body was breaking down' before she turned to stem cell therapy. The beauty has taken to social media to share her health journey, revealing that stem cell therapy has helped her to overcome various aches and pains. Kim wrote on Instagram: 'I'm so excited to share with you guys my stem cell journey. 'Two years ago, I tore my shoulder while lifting weights, leaving me in debilitating pain. 'I tried everything to find relief, then I learned about the potential of stem cell therapy and met Dr. Adeel Khan at Eterna. 'His team treated my shoulder with Dezawa Muse cells, and the results were immediate. 'I regained full range of motion, and my shoulder has felt completely normal ever since. 'Encouraged by this success, I recently returned to Dr. Khan to address chronic back pain that I have been suffering with for years. 'The Muse stem cell treatment was a game-changer once again. I experienced relief right away, and the unbearable pain is finally gone. 'If you're struggling with back pain, I can't recommend this treatment enough - it's transformed my life when I thought my body was breaking down. 'Of course, everyone is different, and I'm just sharing what has worked for me lately. Definitely do your own homework and talk to medical professionals. 'Since Muse stem cells aren't yet accessible in the US, I had to travel to Mexico to be treated by Dr. Khan's team. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity and resources to pursue this healing, and I pray the science continues to evolve so more people can benefit. (sic)' The eye pillows said Kim Air on them as the ladies had beds to sleep in Outside a building in Korea Meanwhile, Kim previously opened up about her struggles with psoriasis, revealing that she suffered a major flare-up before the Met Gala. Speaking to SHE MD podcast, Kim shared: 'It's only this one spot [on my face] that will itch. And it will really, really itch when it does. 'When I started to get a little bit desperate was when it started to cover my face, and there was a spot really close to my eye, and it would just burn a little bit. 'I remember I had the Met Ball coming up that week and it was covering my face.'
