Arvind Kejriwal has reduced Bhagwant Mann to rubber stamp: Bikram Singh Majithia
Ludhiana: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader, , claimed on Sunday that chief minister had been "reduced to a rubber stamp" with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener announcing that Sanjeev Arora would be made a minister in case he won the bypoll. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Addressing a press conference with Sikandar Singh Maluka, whose return he welcomed, he said that it was a sign that Akali leaders were uniting to raise their voice for Punjab. Senior leader Sharanjit Singh Dhillon was also present on the occasion. Asserting that Kejriwal's announcement was a clear indication that Bhagwant Mann was a mere figurehead now, Majithia said, "It is also a sign of desperation. The announcement was made because AAP realises that Sanjeev Arora is losing the election and therefore, Kejriwal's chances of entering the Rajya Sabha are thinning." Majithia said that AAP was losing because Punjabis realised that the Delhi model had failed. "The state incurred a record Rs one lakh crore debt under the AAP government, pushing the total debt to Rs four lakh crore. The state is witnessing a financial emergency with the government calling back all funds from various departments to save itself from defaulting on loans. This resulted in a complete halt to all development work. " Majithia said that the industrial sector was also becoming unviable, with power being given to this sector being the most expensive in the country. "The culture of extortion and targeted killing, along with a state of lawlessness, is resulting in home-grown industrialists shifting to other states." Majithia alleged that people felt cheated by the AAP government. "Government employees were promised the Own Pension Scheme (OPS), and a notification was also issued in this regard, but it is still to be implemented. The promise of Rs 1,000 per month allowance to women has not been implemented for four years," the SAD leader added. MSID:: 121863319 413 |

Delhi CM campaigns for Jiwan Gupta, accuses Arvind Kejriwal of corruption
Ludhiana: Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta, who was in the city on Sunday to solicit votes for BJP candidate Jiwan Gupta, trained guns at AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and his Delhi cabinet. She accused them of indulging in corrupt practices over the past 10 years. She said that fresh cases had been registered against Kejriwal and his team and those out on bail could land in jail at any time. She added that the AAP government had not presented a single CAG report in the assembly in the past 10 years, while they had brought six such reports. Now, she said, the law would take its course on corruption. Rekha Gupta also accused former Delhi minister Manish Sisodia of not responding to summons sent to him in lieu of the Ludhiana bypoll. Listing AAP's failures, she said, "Smoke choking Delhi after stubble burning is a major issue, and the AAP government claimed to have developed a medicine to solve the problem. The medicine was not developed but this government spent Rs 80 crore on advertisement. They installed a tower for Rs 2 lakh and spent Rs 24 crore on advertisement. They also announced that they would organise a shopping festival in Delhi. The festival never took place but they spent Rs 25 crore on advertisement. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Urologists Urge Men To Try This Breakthrough for ED Bring Back Fast Read More Undo " She said that Kejriwal and his team believed in spending public money on advertising themselves and said that they were doing the same thing in Punjab now. Rekha Gupta said, "Delhi showed him the door and he came to Punjab with his rejected ministers who are out on bail." Gupta also claimed that Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann was a "dummy CM" while the actual governance was being run from Delhi. She said that due to faulty policies of the AAP government, Punjab was under Rs 4 lakh crore debt. Accusing Kejriwal of making derogatory remarks against the Army, she said, "While every citizen of the country appreciated the Army for Operation Sindoor, Kejriwal did not utter a single word in support of the Army. Rather, their leaders made derogatory remarks against the Army." She also accused Kejriwal of failing to keep a single promise made at the time of elections and asserted that AAP had no right to seek votes from people. AAP ran 'Chitta Express' in Punjab Deriding the state government's drive against drugs, the Delhi CM said, "The AAP claimed to wipe out corruption from the state, but they ran 'chitta express' here instead of Bullet train. Now chitta is available outside schools and in every village and town." 'Punjabis can make a sensible choice' Rekha Gupta said that while Delhi residents took 10 years to send Kejriwal out of power, Punjabis were wise enough to make a sensible choice. She added that the West bypoll would lay the foundation for the 2027 Assembly elections in which people would vote for Jiwan Gupta. She said that in 2027, Punjab would elect the Modi government and all facilities available under central government schemes would be available for them as well. MSID:: 121862876 413 |

Gadkari, Fadnavis attend coordination meet with RSS frontal orgs
Nagpur: CM Devendra Fadnavis , Union minister Nitin Gadkari and many other BJP MLAs from Vidarbha attended a coordination meeting with RSS ' frontal organizations on Sunday at Nagpur, something which created a buzz in political circles because of the impending local body polls in state. However, RSS as well as BJP sources denied the local body poll speculations, saying Sunday's meeting at Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh, which houses the memorial of Sangh founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, is an annual fixture where work done by frontal organizations is reviewed. Dr Upendra Kothekar, Vidarbha Sanghathan Mantri of BJP, said, "There is nothing political about this meeting, as we hold it twice every year. This was for Vidarbha Prant, hence only MLAs from the region were invited. Around 30 of Sangh affiliated organizations were present who gave a report on the activities conducted by them." He added the impending polls should not be linked with Sunday's meet. "This meeting is called 'Samanvay Baithak' and is held every year in June and then around October," said Dr Kothekar. The meeting started around 8am and ended by 5pm. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 오스템 임플란트 받아가세요 임플란터 더 알아보기 Undo Both CM Fadnavis and Gadkari attended the meeting for some time, but did not give any official statement regarding the same. Whenever such meetings are held during election year, the buzz is about how both BJP and RSS affiliated organizations are aligning themselves to fine tune social projects. BJP MLA (East Nagpur) Krishna Khopde said, "I attended the meeting but had to leave early because of some prior commitments. But definitely there was no political discussion happening. Organizations belonging to the parivaar (Sangh) presented details of initiatives taken by them and what they achieved." Dr Kothekar said the presence of BJP MLAs should not be connected with speculations of a political meeting. "They are primarily BJP party members. And as public representatives they must be aware of what social work is being done by Sangh organizations," said Dr Kothekar.
