Alesha Dixon's children embarrassed by her fame

Perth Now26-04-2025

Alesha Dixon's children are embarrassed by her fame.
The 46-year-old TV star has two daughters, Azura, 11, and Anaya, five, but rather than be impressed that their mother was a member of girl group Mis-Teeq, was a winner of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and is a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent', they find her career cringe-inducing.
When asked what they think of having a famous mum, Alesha replied: 'I don't think they like that. I think 11 year olds find it a little bit embarrassing.'
And Alesha's kids don't like her singing at home, despite her pop star past with Mis-Teeq and as a solo artist with singles like 'The Boy Does Nothing'.
Appearing on the 'Making A Scene' podcast, she said: "I get told to be quiet all the time. I'm not allowed to join in!'
Azura and Anaya - whose father is dancer-and-choreographer Azuka Ononye - do watch Alesha on 'Britain's Got Talent' but they rarely agree with what she has to say to the acts.
Alesha said: "They do watch 'Britain's Got Talent', they have a lot to say. There's a lot of opinions, they don't like a lot of the things I say or do, but that's natural with a child, they're embarrassed more than anything.'
During her conversation on the podcast - which is hosted by comedy duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams, who sat on the 'BGT' judging panel with Alesha for 10 years - the 'Scandalous' singer also confessed she once had to summon the courage to appear on a breakfast TV show after going out for a heavy night of partying and had no choice but to mime to the song she was performing.
She spilled: "I wasn't in Misteeq at the time, I was a solo artist and we were celebrating the end of a tour.
"We had a big night out with all the crew, the dancers, and didn't sleep, literally went all night. And at 5.30am, my manager comes bursting through the door and goes, 'What are you doing? You're on 'Good Morning Britain' in, like, two hours.'
"I was like, 'Don't worry about it,' and I literally rolled up to 'Good Morning Britain' and I mimed the song."

KSI 'probably' won't release his new album until 2026

KSI is "perfecting" his third studio album and hopes to release it in 2026. Fans have been waiting four years for the boxer, YouTuber and musician's follow-up to 2021's 'All Over the Place' - and they still have a way to go yet. Speaking to the Official Charts Company, KSI - whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji - said of the LP's release: "It definitely won't be this year, but probably next year for sure. I mean, there's a lot of constant deliberation that goes into an album – like, perfecting [it] to make sure it's exactly what I want it to be. You know, I have songs [in the bag], but I think for me, right now, I'm still making music to make sure it's the best that it can be." Last week, KSI returned with the bold new single, 'Catch Me If You Can'. Speaking of the track, the 'Britain's Got Talent' judge said: 'This track is all about levelling up, proving yourself, and staying ahead of the game. 'Catch Me If You Can' is my way of showing that I'm always pushing forward, whether it's in music, boxing, or life. No matter what obstacles come my way, I keep moving.' Meanwhile, KSI is among the stars set to take to the stage at Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard 2025 at Wembley Stadium on June 15.

'We keep ourselves to ourselves': Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman don't hang out with famous Cotswolds neighbours Posh and Becks

Lauren Silverman, wife of Simon Cowell, has claimed the cohort of celebrities living in the Cotswolds typically keep themselves to themselves. The music mogul and his other half - who bought an £8 million farmhouse in Oxfordshire in 2021 - might be neighbours with the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, but Lauren insists they don't all hang around together. Speaking to Closer UK magazine, Lauren - who has 11-year-old son Eric with Simon - said when asked about living near the power couple: "They are our neighbours!" She insisted: "We keep ourselves to ourselves. "We're just ... it's not like a full compound of [celebs] there." Bruno Tonioli, who serves as a judge on Simon's talent show 'Britain's Got Talent' and spends time with the family at their country abode, added in the joint interview: "There's a little group that get together. "It's good to keep what you do in your private life very separate. "Nobody knows what's going on and I like it that way." Lauren noted: "Bruno is like family to us. He is." She noted that their son calls him "Uncle Bruno". Other celebrities who have made the Cotswolds their home include Jeremy Clarkson and his wife Lisa, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and Hugh Grant.

Surprising detail you might have missed as Peppa Pig's mum gave birth to third piglet

Peppa Pig and her little brother, George, have welcomed a little sister as Mummy Pig gives birth to her third piglet. Good Morning Britain revealed the family had welcomed their second daughter, Evie, named after Mummy Pig's aunty, on Tuesday morning UK time ahead of the next season of the hugely popular children's TV cartoon series. Presenter Richard Arnold broke the news saying more than 60 million viewers 'have been following Mummy Pig and the rest of the pig family while they get ready to welcome their new addition'. Evie's birth comes after the surprise pregnancy announcement in February and a gender reveal celebration in London last month. According to Good Morning Britain, Evie arrived at 5.34am in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, UK. That is the same maternity ward where Catherine, Princess of Wales gave birth to her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The exclusive ward can cost from £5,900 ($A12,301) for just one night, rising to £7,500 ($A15,637) for deluxe packages. 'It's a beautiful thing, she's certainly receiving the royal treatment so far,' Arnold said of the cartoon birth. In posts to the official Peppa Pig social media accounts, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig also made their 'royal appearance' outside the hospital steps with baby Evie in their arms. The birth was also announced with a town crier scroll-style proclamation as well as a special birth certificate plaque on a pink stand. Arnold said viewers can see Peppa's reaction to her new baby sister in new episodes of the cartoon series due to air in coming months.
