And Joshua has given a small glimpse into his recovery as he shadowboxed on social media.
Posting to his Snapchat account, he posted: "2 weeks post operation. Back to the grind in a few days."
Joshua, 35, was knocked out by Daniel Dubois, 27, at Wembley and looked to be targeting an immediate rematch.
But that failed to materialise with Dubois now rematching Oleksandr Usyk on July 19 in London - two years after losing to the Ukrainian.

ONE-TWO COMBO AJ lined up to face two rivals in new deal... but they are NOT Fury or Dubois
Tyson Fury, 36, was last year beaten by Usyk, 36, twice and subsequently announced his retirement in January a month after losing the rematch.
But AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn is hoping the unpredictable Gypsy King will make a U-turn and return to fight Joshua.
Talks are ongoing with Saudi boxing boss Turki Alalshikh over a new two-fight deal.
And Hearn told BoxingScene in late May: 'He's had the operation, which went very well, and now he's just sort of rehabbing it.

'I believe about six weeks till he can punch again properly, and that kind of lends itself to a September, October, November fight.
"That gives us a chance to see what happens with Dubois against Usyk.
"That gives us a chance to see if Mr. Fury will ever return, and maybe something else.
"But he's definitely fighting this year and looking forward to it.'

The Japanese striker scored the winning penalty against the Saudi side. He officially arrived on July 19 and today the club has unveiled Manchester City defender Jahmai Simpson-Pusey. The 19-year-old has joined the Parkhead outfit on loan for the duration of the 2025/26 campaign. There is no option to buy clause inserted as part of the deal. The England youth international has played six games for Manchester City, and ironically made his non-competitive debut against Celtic in 2024 under Pep Guardiola. He joined the Man City academy at the age of eight and his move to Celts is the first time he has been sent out on loan. He is rated highly by those at the Etihad and was crowned PL2 Player of the Year last season. Celtic beat off the likes of Ligue 1 side Strasbourg for his signature. Going in the opposite direction, Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke have been allowed to leave the club and Stephen Welsh is on the verge of finalising a loan to Plymouth Argyle in League One. Tyson Fury's huge net worth as Morecambe face going out of business

Tyson Fury has pocketed some life-changing paydays over the last few years - with fans now calling for him to step up and save Morecambe FC Tyson Fury 's private company has assets of over £160million but the ex-world champion appears in no rush to come to the rescue of Morecambe football club. ‌ In June, it was reported that the former two-time heavyweight champion is making £218,000-a-day in profits. Newly-filed accounts revealed Tyson Fury Limited reported a £79million profit between September 2023 and last September. Fury's net-worth is almost double the £82million held in the business the previous year. ‌ Fury, 36, is the sole director of the company and lists his profession as 'professional boxer'. The accounts show a £100,000 dividend paid to the 'Gypsy King', £50,000 less than he paid himself the previous year. The boxing legend set up his company back in 2013 and the twelve-month period of the accounts predate his retirement following his rematch defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. However, it does include his loss to the Ukrainian last May. ‌ The heavyweight giants shared a staggering £150 million for the December fight in Saudi Arabia - which Fury lost on points. With the accounts pre-dating the sequel defeat, it is likely that the Brit's worth has only soared over the last few months. After announcing his retirement earlier this year, Fury has been enjoying life in his beloved town of Morecambe - with his wife Paris and their seven kids. A proud member of the closely-knit community, fans have for Fury to come to the rescue after the local football club were handed major sanctions after failing to meet their financial obligations for the upcoming campaign. The 105-year-old outfit dropped into the National League last season and it was recently announced their first three National League fixtures against Boston, Brackley and Scunthorpe have all be postponed. "It was decided further sanctions must be imposed, with the club's membership to be suspended with immediate effect," the National League recently said in a statement. "The committee will meet again on Wednesday, August 20 to determine if outstanding items have been satisfied, and to decide the club's ability to retain membership in the competition." With the Shrimps now just days away from going out of business, fans are pleading for Fury to step in - after previously claiming he would purchase the club. One fan took to social media to say: "Tyson Fury watching Morecambe... go bust while training at his gym from the ground daily is genuinely mental. Save your local club!" The 'Gypsy King' first expressed his interest in his hometown team back in 2022 after the club were put on the market by Bond Group Investments. "I'm thinking about buying Morecambe Football Club, they're in League One at the moment," he told talkSPORT. ‌ "So I was thinking I invest X amount of millions in them. Basically throw it at them and keep them going up. I've been offered to buy Morecambe Football Club. I own all the training facilities anyway and the training gym. So who knows? You might be looking at a football club owner." The Tyson Fury Foundation is located in the north-east corner of the club's stadium, the Mazuma Mobile Stadium. The building also contains a gym within premises that is owned by the former two-time heavyweight champion. When is Tyson Fury's next fight? Last month, it was revealed that Fury will be making a stunning comeback to the ring. Not only that, the Brit even revealed a third date with Usyk had been confirmed. The trilogy showdown is believed to be set for 18 April 2026 at Wembley Stadium. The 36-year-old shared a fight poster featuring him and the Ukrainian on Instagram, captioning it: "April 18, 2026 Wembley Stadium. The trilogy! UK. contact @spencerbrownmrgoldstar for tickets." However, the Brit recently claimed he will "never" fight again, just weeks after it was announced that he was planning to return to the ring. When asked when he plans to fight again, Fury told Sky Sports: "Never. Really! Too old, look at my beard, all grey. Boxing's a young man's game."
