' Main Bhi Khel Raha Hu ': Rishabh Pant Taunts Ravindra Jadeja, Stump Mic Catches Epic Banter
Indian cricket team wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was at his witty best during Day 2 of the first Test match against England as he was caught having a hilarious conversation with Ravindra Jadeja. In a video posted by Star Sports on X (formerly Twitter), Pant was heard delivering one of his classic one-liners while Jadeja was bowling. Jadeja deliveried a ball that was wide down the leg-side and Pant had to leap in order to gather it properly. Pant was left amused by the delivery as he shouted towards Jadeja: 'Mai bhi khel raha hu bhai, apne chauke ke chakkar mein mera chaukka mat dedena' (I am also playing, brother. In order to not go for a four, don't give send me for a four)".

Later in the video, captain Shubman Gill was also heard talking to Jadeja during his over as he said that Ben Duckett was getting confused by Jadeja's deliveries and urged him to continue with his strategy.
Gill said: 'Abhi ye pura confused hai Jaddu bhai, kaunsi seedhi hai aur kaunsi udhar. Aayega iska!' (Now he's completely confused, Jaddu brother, he doesn't know which one will turn. He'll get out soon!)'.
Top-order batter Ollie Pope smashed an unbeaten century, his ninth in Tests, as England trail India by 262 runs after reaching 209/3 in 49 overs at stumps on Day Two of the first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at Headingley here on Saturday.
It was a day when India were primed to get a big total, after reaching 430/3 - thanks to Shubman Gill making a career-best 147 and Rishabh Pant somersaulting his way to an astonishing 134 – his seventh ton in the format.
But after Gill departed, India lost their last seven wickets for just 41 runs to be bowled out for 471 in 113 overs.
A sudden burst of rain meant England's innings had a delayed start, and they then had to deal with a menacing Jasprit Bumrah, who picked 3-45. But Pope and Ben Duckett added 122 runs for the second wicket to bring some normalcy into England's innings.
While Duckett fell for 62, Pope overcame his usual nervous start to score his ninth Test hundred, laced with 13 fours, before walking off undefeated after putting England in a comfortable position. It also helped the duo that India's bowling attack, minus Bumrah, wasn't that penetrative.

Crispin Chettri says his squad is 'shaping up well' for AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers
The Indian senior women's team will kick off their AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers campaign on Monday and will look to create new history in the 21st century after having three podium finishes in the erstwhile Asian Women's Championship (runners-up in 1980 and 1983, and third place in 1981). India (ranked 70th) will face Mongolia (ranked 126th) on June 23, Timor Leste (ranked 158th) on June 29, Iraq (ranked 173rd) on July 2 and hosts Thailand (ranked 46th) on July 5, at the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium. Only the group winners will qualify for the final tournament in Australia in March 2026. The AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 will also serve as a qualifier for the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027. Apart from Thailand, India have never faced the other three Group B opponents before. "We don't have much information about Mongolia, Timor Leste and Iraq. They haven't played any matches recently. We do know a bit about Thailand. They played two games against Nepal in the last window, and one of them was closed doors," said Chettri. "I tried different variations in our friendlies (against Uzbekistan). I tested many combinations in midfield, involving Sangita (Basfore), Karthika (Angamuthu), Ratanbala (Nongmaithem), Grace (Dangmei) and Anju (Tamang)." While India lost both friendlies 0-1 against Uzbekistan on May 30 and June 3, it was significant preparation for the all-important qualifiers. Indian women, who had trained in Bengaluru since the start of May, travelled to Chiang Mai a week before the first game against Mongolia, and have had four full training sessions so far, including an intra-squad match. "I think coming to Chiang Mai earlier has helped us a lot to acclimatise to the weather conditions and adjust to the time difference. The weather here is a bit more humid than in Bengaluru. The training ground is great and we're shaping up well for the forthcoming matches. We also played a full 90-minute match amongst ourselves on Thursday," said Chettri. With an average age of just 23.6 years, Chettri has named a fairly young squad consisting of a lot of newcomers. But that's not to say there's a dearth of experience. For Malavika, there's a Dangmei Grace, for Priyadharshini, there's an Anju Tamang, for Phanjoubam Nirmala Devi, there's a Ngangbam Sweety Devi. "We have a very good mix of youth and experience. We had 18-year-old goalkeeper Monalisha (Moirangthem) debut against Uzbekistan. I'm not scared to play with youngsters because this is how they are going to gain experience. And playing such important AFC matches will help us grow," said Chettri. 'Staying and working together for more than 45 days has done a great deal of good for their chemistry, and now what matters is executing it on the pitch. The focus on the training pitch has shifted more to tactical details. "We're done working on the physical aspects now. We're focusing on patterns and set pieces every day, whether it's defending or attacking. We'll also know more about the opponents as the qualifiers progress," Chettri added. AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers Group B Schedule: June 23: Mongolia vs India (14:30 IST) June 29: India vs Timor Leste (14:30 IST) July 2: India vs Iraq (14:30 IST) July 5: Thailand vs India (18:00 IST) India's 23-member final squad for the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers- Goalkeepers: Elangbam Panthoi Chanu, Moirangthem Monalisha Devi, Payal Basude. Defenders: Hemam Shilky Devi, Kiran Pisda, Martina Thokchom, Ngangbam Sweety Devi, Phanjoubam Nirmala Devi, Purnima Kumari, Sanju, Sorokhaibam Ranjana Chanu. Midfielders: Anju Tamang, Grace Dangmei, Karthika Angamuthu, Nongmaithem Ratanbala Devi, Priyadharshini Selladurai, Sangita Basfore. Forwards: Lynda Kom Serto, Malavika P, Manisha Kalyan, Pyari Xaxa, Rimpa Haldar, Soumya Guguloth.

J.K. Rowling shares she closely worked with the 'Harry Potter' series writers; reveales the episodes are good
J.K. Rowling , the famed author, shared an update about the upcoming Harry Potter series on social media. While some of her fans might despise her for the controversial transphobic claims and stances, the 59-year-old didn't hesitate to sway the audience and get her fans hyped up about the show. 'SO, SO, SO GOOD!' J.K. Rowling, born Joanne Rowling, expressed that she recently read the first two episodes of the show adaptation, and claimed that they are 'SO, SO, SO GOOD!' The series will start its production this summer and is slated for release in 2026. Furthermore, when asked about whether she actively participated in writing the script of the show, Rowling denied and responded that while she did not contribute actively, she was working closely with the extremely talented writers. Casey Bloys calls J.K. Rowling's statements 'a nuanced and complicated controversy' HBO Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys previously addressed Rowling's controversial opinions and the impact that would have on the TV show on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast. He stated that working with the author is nothing new; in fact, they have been working together for over 25 years. 'It's pretty clear that those are her personal, political views. She's entitled to them. Harry Potter is not secretly being infused with anything. If you want to debate her, you can go on Twitter,' he added, according to Deadline. In the recent past, Bloys also confirmed that Rowling would be an executive producer and would certainly be working closely with the project, as her insights would be helpful in the scenario. 'Our priority is what's on the screen. Obviously, the Harry Potter story is incredibly affirmative and positive and about love and self-acceptance. That's our priority — what's on screen,' he said, adding that her anti-transgender statements are quite a complicated and nuanced controversey.
