'I look forward to working with him and the entire ownership group to build on the club's recent successes and help shape an exciting future for Crystal Palace.
'This is more than an investment – it's a commitment to realising the vision for the club, the community, and the culture around Selhurst Park.'

Johnson's arrival at Palace comes with the club in dispute with UEFA over which European competition they will play in next season after winning the FA Cup in May.
The Eagles were demoted from the Europa League to the Conference League after falling foul of UEFA's rules governing multi-club ownership, but have submitted an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

UEFA determined that as of March 1, American businessman John Textor had control or influence in Palace and French club Lyon.
Textor said he had agreed to sell his stake in Palace to Johnson, but the move came too late to satisfy UEFA.
Parish said: 'At this exciting time for Crystal Palace, we are delighted to be welcoming Woody to the ownership of the football club, and we very much look forward to working alongside him to build on our historic recent success moving forwards.'

Spice Girls' 'Girl Power' tribute as they lead celeb support of England's Euro 2025 final
Celebrities joined England fans in wishing the Lionesses the best of luck ahead of tonight's Euro 2025 final showdown with Spain in Basel, Switzerland Celebrities are gathering in force to pay special tribute to England Women's football team as they bid for back-to-back European success tonight. The Lionesses take on Spain in Basel, Switzerland, hoping to lift the Euro trophy once again, three years on from their maiden success. However, they know they are up against it as they face a Spanish side who defeated them in the World Cup final in 2023. In preparation, the group has been turning up the volume to Heather Small's Proud tune as they keep their pre-game ritual in tact. But as Serena Wiegman's team gets their game face on for once last hurdle in the tournament, celebs have took to social media to send their own messages of support. Among them was the Spice Girls. The iconic girl band's official Instagram and Twitter /X accounts shared the same message alongside a snap of the group - minus Victoria Beckham - posing on stage. Melanie C also wore an England shirt in the image, as their rallying call read: Come on @Lionesses! We wish you the best of luck for the #WEURO2025 final today #GirlPower @England" EastEnders star and staunch football fan Ross Kemp give a video message to the girls, saying: "I just want to wish the Lionesses all the very very best against Spain. You have the skill, you have the mindset, you have the talent, and you have backing so come on England and come on the Lionesses." Quiz show guru Shaun Wallace, best known as The Dark Destroyer on ITV's The Chase also shared two video messages in support. His first saw him give an inspirational quote. He also captioned his post: "Let's hope the Lionesses get the gift of a great performance and bringing it home tonight! Make the most of everyday, every day is a gift. Have a fantastic Sunday and good luck to the Lionesses tonight." He quickly followed it up with another message, saying: "Bring it home Lionesses," with a video of him saying: "This is a special message for the England Lionesses. Good luck today girls, let's bring that trophy home." The Royal Family's official account also gave a rousing message to the squad. It shared a superb version of It's Coming Home outside of Buckingham Palace. Alongside the upload, they wrote: "Let's go girls!! Wishing the very best of luck to the @Lionesses in the Women's Euro Final this evening. And Sarah Ferguson also gave them the royal seal of approval. Getting her message in early, she said on Friday: "We're all behind you Lionesses. Best of luck tomorrow!" The occasion comes almost three years to the day since Wiegman's team changed the face of women's football in England following their defeat of Germany in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley. On that occasion Chloe Kelly's extra-time winner would pass into English football folklore. Then, a little over a year later, there was heartbreak as Spain beat the Lionesses 1-0 in the World Cup final in Sydney. The result came despite the heroics of legendary goalkeeper Mary Earps. And now England is once again getting behind the team as they bid to lift another coveted trophy.

Lottie Woad fires final-round 68 to claim victory on her professional debut
The 21-year-old former world number one amateur from Surrey finished with a final round score of 68 after four days of competition at Dundonald Links. It was Woad's first victory since turning professional earlier in July. She entered the final round with a two-stroke lead and made birdies on the second, third, 13th and 14th before hitting a bogey on the 16th. Lottie Woad wins the @Womens_Scottish on her professional debut 🏆#WSO25 — Ladies European Tour (@LETgolf) July 27, 2025 Woad made par on the 17th before a pinpoint approach set up a birdie on the 18th to wrap up the title. She becomes the first player to win on their professional Ladies European Tour debut since Singapore's Shannon Tan at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open in February 2024. Woad said on Sky Sports: 'It's a pretty good outcome, I guess! Definitely wasn't expecting to win my first event, but I knew I was playing well so I was kind of hoping to contend. 'I played really solid today. It was pretty nice in the end, could lay up on the par five. 'Links golf is really fun, don't get to play it too often. This is my first time playing links golf since the Open last year. I wasn't exactly sure how it would go, but it went fine!' Woad finished three shots ahead of second-placed Kim Hyo-joo, who fired seven birdies and three bogeys in a mixed fourth round. Julia Lopez Ramirez and Kim Sei-young shared third on 14 under, with world number one Nelly Korda a shot back in fifth. English duo Alice Hewson and Charley Hull finished tied for 10th and 21st, respectively. Attention now turns to the AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl, which begins on Thursday. Looking ahead to that tournament, Woad added: 'Even if I hadn't won this week, I'd still be trying to win it and just trying to be up there really is all you can ask for going into the final day.'

The vanishing of Bubba Watson – how golf's forgotten icon and double Masters champ is fighting back
Bubba Watson is showing signs of life again following serious knee surgery and dropping off the big-time radar Bullish Bubba Watson reckons he's emerging from the anguish of serious injury and a major career slump. The American star was once a huge name in the game having claimed two-time Masters wins at Augusta and peaking at World No.2 in the rankings. Watson was a Ryder Cup regular and won 15 times on the circuit in total before a move to join LIV Golf. The 46-year-old was out for eight months after a serious knee injury required surgery and he returned to the game at the beginning of 2023. Watson has been a pale shadow of his former self in the time period since, but there have been real shards of light in recent weeks and again at this week's LIV event in England. The colourful star managed a tied-14th at the Masters this year having missed the cut in the previous two years, has had two LIV Top 10s this term and now sits second with a round to go at JCB Golf and Country Club. It's been slow progress, but Watson can finally feel good things happening and explained: 'The last couple years, it's been a struggle. Been a struggle mentally, physically and golf-wise. You want to play better, right? 'You don't think about it until it happens, where my knee, my forward knee is where I like to put all my weight on chipping and putting, and then when you go through surgery and go through muscle changes, you kind of create bad habits, and so my bad habits, getting back on my heels, maybe even on my other side, so I'm not the same technique that I've always used, if that makes sense. 'So in all my years of practicing and playing, my technique has now changed over these last couple years, so we really dug in and tried to figure out what it is. So we've tried to figure out that, and I think we made a big step forward in finding out what it is. 'As my leg gets stronger, it takes two years for your leg to get stronger in that position, so here we are. Now we're talking about some of my best finishes. Hopefully we can keep it going.' Watson is second with 18 holes to go in Staffordshire behind runaway leader Joaquin Niemann, but said: 'A high finish puts me, I think I'm like 30th or 31st in points, so it'll probably put me back close to top 24. 'I want to have a strong finish to the year and I see that I can do it. Now, will I do it is the question. But I would love to finish in the Top 20 if not better and have a chance to win and then challenge the Team Championship in match play. 'All of this is a positive step forward going forward in my career. Obviously the better finish I can do, the better it is for me, better for the team, better for everything. Yeah, I'm going to get out there and battle. 'Second place right now looks like it's a good place to finish, so it's going to be a battle for the second place, if nothing else.'
