The Green Bay Packers are also looking forward to a season where they'll improve upon last year's version. That featured a Wild Card Playoffs loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The NFC and NFC North should be super competitive again. Jordan Love will have a brand new rookie receiver in Matthew Golden, along with talented offensive threats like Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Josh Jacobs.

A new Madden NFL 26 beta version dropped this week, allowing select individuals to test out the game. Leaks have seemingly surfaced, with some showing off the overall ratings for all of the league's teams.
One video shared on X displays the Green Bay Packers as the first team and shows that they'll carry an 81 overall rating. That's tied with their division rivals, the Chicago Bears.
Their other NFC North foes have higher ratings. The Minnesota Vikings check in with an 83, while the Detroit Lions carry an 88 in the game's beta version.
While many fans on X griped about the team ratings revealed in this beta leak, there weren't any complaints about the Packers yet. Some complained about the Eagles' rating seeming low, or the Buffalo Bills having a lower ranking the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

Several X commenters also mentioned some intriguing points about these leaked overalls in the video.
"They literally said the deep dive all the ratings are randomly generated," one X commenter said.
Another wrote on X, "They aren't finalized they never are don't take this into account."
That 81 may or may not be what Green Bay's rating is when the game drops. According to GamesRadar, the team had the same rating when Madden NFL 25 came out last year. It could also improve as the new season progresses.
Madden NFL 26 releases on August 14 with additional details from the game forthcoming. As of this writing, player ratings have yet to arrive, so fans should have another debate when they see how Packers players compare with others in the league.

Tom Brady embodies inner-heel, rips up Eli Manning jersey

Who would have ever thought legendary quarterback Tom Brady and World Wrestling Entertainment champion John Cena would both go heel (turn into a bad guy) in the same year? Brady made a grand entrance at Fanatics Fest in New York City on Friday. The event had a mini WWE entrance set, and the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback entered to former WWE champion Cody Rhodes' theme. Advertisement Brady came onstage and posed with the title on his shoulder. He then slowly made his way down the ramp, stopping to snatch a Sauce Gardner jersey from someone in the crowd, slamming it on the ground and spitting on it. As he made his way further down the ramp, he was handed an Eli Manning jersey. He held the jersey up for everyone to see and then ripped it in half. "Let's go," Brady yelled out to the crowd. Manning then came out of nowhere, jumped on Brady's back and rode him back up the ramp. It served as the perfect entertainment to kick-start the three-day event. Fanatics Fest NYC is a massive gathering featuring sports and collectibles. Fans from all over the world travel to the event to buy, sell and trade. They also have an opportunity to meet their favorite athletes and get exclusive merchandise. Advertisement Brady seemed to be in his element playing the villain role in the world of professional wrestling. His former teammate, Rob Gronkowski, had a Wrestlemania moment back in April 2017. Perhaps it's time for Brady to do the same. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook. This article originally appeared on Patriots Wire: Tom Brady embodies inner-heel, rips up Eli Manning jersey

Stephen A. Smith Facing Backlash After Cameras Catch Him During NBA Finals

Stephen A. Smith Facing Backlash After Cameras Catch Him During NBA Finals originally appeared on Athlon Sports. ESPN "First Take" and "NBA Countdown" host Stephen A. Smith has been, as usual, turning heads with his opinions on the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2025 NBA Finals. Advertisement In particular, he took offense to Tyrese Haliburton criticizing the way people like him in the media cover the NBA. Before Game 4, he stated on "First Take" that "players far more accomplished and far more superior have made their efforts trying to call me out. How has that worked out?" Then, as Haliburton and the Pacers battled the Thunder in a thrilling Game 4 on Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Smith was caught by a fan's camera doing something that would be hard for even him to talk his way out of. ESPN's Stephen A. SmithKirby Lee-Imagn Images Social media users were furious when they saw the photo of the $100 million ESPN star that went viral during Game 4. Advertisement A fan at the game looked down and took a photo of him appearing to play solitaire on his phone during the game. Though it was unclear when the photo was taken, the crowd in the background was standing up and appeared to be engaged in the action on the court, unlike Smith. "How can you have all of these opinions while you're playing solitaire instead of watching the game @stephenasmith?" the user said. "This who @espn paying 100 million," said another harsh fan. "They pay him to be an entertainer, not an analyst," another critic said on X. "When you look at it that way, it all makes sense. ESPN continues to be a joke." Advertisement "Please let this absolutely explode, modern day media is TERRIBLE," wrote a jaded fan. In the end, the Thunder evened the series at 2-2 with a massive 111-104 win before heading back to Oklahoma City for Game 5 on Monday.
