The third and final season of the popular series The Summer I Turned Pretty will premiere in July. Season three of the Amazon Original series is expected to introduce new cast members while taking the love triangle between teenager Isabel 'Belly' Conklin and the Fisher brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah, forward. The new season will reportedly have a total of 11 episodes and seven new cast members.
As per Variety, the series, which premieres on Wednesday, July 16, has added Isabella Briggs and Kristen Connolly to its cast. Along with them, Sofia Bryant, Lily Donoghue, Zoe de Grand'Maison, Emma Ishta and Tanner Zagarino have joined as recurring characters.
The final season begins two years after the events of the season two finale. At the end of her junior year of college, Belly (Lola Tung) is ready for another summer in Cousins with her boyfriend, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), and has everything arranged – until Conrad (Christopher Briney) reappears in her life.
The series will be accessible to stream on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories globally. Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka are showrunners for the upcoming season, and Jenny Han, Kucserka and Karen Rosenfelt will serve as executive producers. The production team also comprises Paul Lee, Hope Hartman and Mads Hansen under the name wiip, with Amazon Studios co-producing the project.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is an emotional, multigenerational drama centred on a love triangle between a girl and two brothers. The show masterfully addresses issues such as first love, heartbreak and the changing interactions between mothers and their children.
