Arizona Cardinals radio analyst Ron Wolfley stepping down after 20 years
Arizona Cardinals radio analyst Ron Wolfley stepping down after 20 years There will be a new radio voice for Cardinals fans in 2025 alongside Dave Pasch
It is the end of an era for Arizona Cardinals fans. After 20 years as the team's color analyst on radio broadcasts, Ron Wolfley is stepping down from that role with the team, he announced on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM on Friday. He will still be part of the team's weekly radio show "Big Red Rage" and will continue as part of the "Wolf and Luke" show on the radio on 98.7 weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This now frees his weekends during the football season.
He gave this statement:
First, I'd like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His providence and provision in my life.
Having said that, it is with a thankful and grateful heart, I'd like to announce I'm stepping down as the Arizona Cardinals radio analyst.
I would like to thank my wife, Stephanie, my kids, Savannah and Vedder, and my football family for all of the support I have received throughout the years.
I'd like to thank Michael Bidwill and the Bidwill family for 27 incredible years within the organization as a player and broadcaster. In almost three decades, my time with the organization was filled with love, respect and professionalism.
The game of football is in my blood. I come from a football family. God used football in my life and I'm so grateful to Him for allowing me to 'strap on the boots and bloody-up the knuckles.'
But it's time to slow down, be a father, be present with my kids and serve my God and my family better.
The Wolf & Luke show will continue! Being able to put on the headphones and talk about the games I love makes me feel like I'm 22, in the tunnel and ready to go. Thank you, Bonneville Phoenix, for allowing me to broadcast and remember what it was like to play the greatest game at the highest level.
The search for a new broadcast partner with play-by-play announcer Dave Pasch now begins.
Wolfley's distinct voice and quirky sayings have been adored by fans. He has a place in longtime Cardinals fans' hearts because he was a Pro Bowl special teams player for the Cardinals when they first moved from St. Louis to Arizona.
His voice has been synonymous with Cardinals highlights and the Arizona sports scene as long as I can remember as someone who was born and raised in the Phoenix area.
He will be missed in game broadcasts.

Ramsey not expected to attend mandatory minicamp as Dolphins continue to seek a trade
Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey is not planning to attend the team's mandatory minicamp this week as the sides continue to seek a trade for the seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback. That revelation, reported by NFL Network on Sunday, wasn't a surprise. The Dolphins previously confirmed that they are trying to trade Ramsey. While Miami has characterized it as a decision in the best interest of both parties, Ramsey wants out, sources said. The Dolphins, to this point, have been unable to find a team willing to give them not the only trade compensation they want, but also pay most or all of his $25.1 million salary this season. ESPN's Adam Schefter recently reported that there's more interest in Ramsey than people realize, but that purported interest has not resulted in a trade to this point. Ramsey has never directly explained why he wants out of Miami but gave a strong hint when he posted a photo of rotten oranges on the first night of the NFL Draft, alongside a caption that read as an indictment of the Dolphins organization. 'Who you surround yourself with matters,' the first part of the caption read, followed by a short inscription underneath the picture that said 'If you surround yourself with people who are okay with mediocre, you too will start to be okay with it... surround yourself with people who desire GREATNESS!' A trade will lower Ramsey's 2025 Dolphins camp hit from $16.7 million to $6.7 million, leaving Miami with $24 million in cap space if he's traded for a future draft pick. That money can be carried over to next offseason if the Dolphins don't use it all this season. Ramsey will have another $18 million in dead money on Miami's 2026 books if he's traded in the weeks ahead. Aside from nickel cornerback Kader Kohou, the Dolphins don't have a proven starting cornerback on their team. Their other corners under contract: former second-round pick Cam Smith (a disappointment so far), Storm Duck (who made the team as an undrafted rookie last season), Kendall Sheffield (who signed last month after a tryout but hasn't started a game since 2020), rookie fifth-rounder Jason Marshall Jr., undrafted rookies BJ Adams (from UCF) and Ethan Robinson (Minnesota), Ryan Cooper Jr. (a former Ohio State standout), Artie Burns (a former Miami Hurricanes standout who played 51 defensive snaps for Seattle last year), second-year player Isaiah Johnson and Ethan Bonner, who played just 16 defensive snaps last season and 27 over two years. The Dolphins have maintained contact with veteran free agent cornerback Rasul Douglas, who rejected a Miami offer earlier this month. Douglas started 15 games for the Bills this season. They've also inquired about former Ft. Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas standout and ex-Chargers free agent cornerback Asante Samuel Jr., a free agent who's recovering from neck surgery. He expects to be able to play this season. Other established cornerbacks still unsigned include James Bradberry, Stephon Gilmore, Mike Hilton and C.J Henderson. The Dolphins have been linked to Hilton, the former Bengals slot corner, at different times this offseason. Ramsey -- who was a first-team All Pro in 2017, 2020 and 2021 -- presumably has finished his Dolphins career with 82 tackles, five interceptions and a sack in 27 games, all starts. He made the Pro Bowl in his first of two seasons in Miami. The Dolphins will hold a mandatory minicamp Tuesday through Thursday, then adjourn until training camp begins the week of July 21.

91 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 91? With 91 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 91. We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals and are now 13 weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 91 days away. As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let's look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals. Who has worn No. 91? Cardinals players to wear No. 91 No. 91 currently belongs to defensive lineman L.J. Collier, who is back with the Cardinals for his third season. He is coming off his best season in the NFL with 3.5 sacks and 29 tackles, playing in every game for only the second time in his career. But let's look at the whole list of 91s. DL L.J. Collier (2023-?) DL Michael Dogbe (2019-2022) DL Benson Mayowa (2018) DL Ed Stinson (2015-2016) OLB Matt Shaughnessy (2013-2014) DL Vonnie Holliday (2011-2012) DL Kenny Iwebema (2008-2010) DL Rodney Bailey (2007) DL Langston Moore (2005-2006) DL Wendell Bryant (2002-2004) DL Rashod Swinger (1997-1999) OL Jerry Lunz (1925-1926) No. 91 had a 70-year hiatus! It didn't get used again until the mid 90s. Bryant was one of the Cardinals' most disappointing first-round busts in their history. After him, it has been mostly journeymen. Ravens have big plans now that Zay Flowers is back at full speed
Ravens have big plans now that Zay Flowers is back at full speed Injury forced Zay Flowers to miss some time, but another step forward is coming soon. Some of your grandfathers and grandmothers, fathers and mothers, and older siblings are probably in the same boat. They wouldn't recognize their Baltimore Ravens if they, for some reason, got busy and hadn't had a chance to watch in a while. Once upon a time, the 'faces' of this franchise played on the defense. Who can forget about the legends: Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Terrell Suggs? But this isn't your grandfather's Ravens. The flock wins many of its games with its offense now, and there's a chance it will be more powerful during the 2025-26 NFL season. Make no mistake. There are stars on the Ravens' defense too, but this team belongs to Lamar Jackson. This organization rests safely in his more than capable hands. One of his top weapons is back, and even though it's only June, excitement is brewing at the Under Armour Performance Center. Lamar Jackson gets one of his weapons back, and the rest of the NFL may not be ready. Year three approaches for the Zay Flowers experiment, and things seem to be going just about as well as expected. Depending on the observer's paradigm, some might say he's ahead of schedule or right on time, that is until a knee injury sidelined him through the postseason. Zay's NFL resume is already impressive: a 2024 Pro Bowl nod, the Ravens' rookie record for most receiving yards by a wide receiver (858), and the franchise record for the most receptions by a rookie wide receiver (77). The summer has brought good news. He's fully healthy and recovered from his injury, and the offensive coordinator is already pumped about the possibilities: "We've just got to get him the ball more. He's an unbelievable football player. He's not only an outside receiver that has elite route-running skills, but he's unbelievable with the ball in his hands. So, you have a guy that really plays two spots." Those were the words of Todd Monken taken from the official team site. It sounds like it will be a big year for Baltimore's talented wideout. "I'm not sure he can use that in his contract negotiations, but I'm just saying you can use him in a variety of roles to get him the ball, which allows your volume to go up. He's a volume catch guy. You can use him in novelty screens, getting him the ball down the field. I expect him to take another leap. When you make it to the Pro Bowl, or you're an All-Pro, you're pretty good." If you're feeling the excitement, you're well within your rights. Zay is part of a balanced and loaded attack. Baltimore has no shortage of weapons on offense. Flowers and DeAndre Hopkins have already built a bond. Derrick Henry and Rashod Bateman both got paid this offseason. Some of the other Ravens stars are certain to follow suit. Isaiah Likely, Mark Andrews, and Charlie Kolar comprise the deepest tight end room in the game. The aforementioned Lamar Jackson is the maestro of what should be a very beautiful symphony. Expect big things from Flowers. Another Pro Bowl nod is possible. Based on what Coach Monken is saying, it may not be unwise to expect one.
