Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds co-owners of SailGP champions
They join Driver and CEO Tom Slingsby in leading the freshly rebranded BONDS Flying Roos SailGP Team.
The new co-owners said: 'We're incredibly excited to set sail together in this new adventure.
"Hugh brings a deep love for and pride in his home country as well as being an avid fan of sailing. He will also be bringing his overly clingy emotional support human along for the ride.
"Apologies in advance to Australia. No comment on whether we're writing this in our BONDS. No further questions.'
Founded in 2019 by Sir Russell Coutts and Larry Ellison, SailGP pits 12 national crews in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans, ripping past 100 km/h just metres from shore in the world's most iconic harbours.
Led by Olympic gold medallist Slingsby, Australia has owned the leaderboard, with three championships in four seasons, and now embarks on a new chapter aimed at super-charging fan engagement far beyond the dock.

The BONDS Flying Roos SailGP Team will make their official debut under their new name and ownership at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix from June 7-8.
The Australian crew aims to defend their leading position on the leaderboard while striving for a memorable victory to celebrate their new co-owners and partners.
They will then head to UK waters for the highly-anticipated Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix, Portsmouth on July 19-20, kicking off an epic summer of European events.

Despite missing out on a trophy he consistently got Tottenham into the top four, finishing second in 2017. He previously admitted a return was on his radar, but not right now: "I am in the USA, so I am not going to talk about that now - but what I said then I still, after six years or five years, feel in my heart. Yes, I would like one day to come back." Brentford boss Thomas Frank is among the other names being considered to replacement Postecoglou. He's continued to work impressively in west London despite losing his best players annually, yet he's been able to ensure Brentford consolidate themselves in the top flight. He has a £10million release clause though and Tottenham are also considering Fulham's Marco Silva. The Portuguese boss recently claimed he intends to remain as the Cottagers boss, but has been shortlisted.

And the former will boast a major advantage as Portman Road, home of his beloved Ipswich Town, plays host to a stacked evening of boxing action. Both Wardley (18-0-1) and Huni (12-0) will put their undefeated records on the line in pursuit of what would be either fighter's biggest accolade to date. Hometown hero Wardley already holds the Commonwealth and WBA Continental heavyweight belts but seeks to strengthen his bid for a world title come Saturday. Australian Huni will fight outside his home country for just the third time, hoping to stretch a streak of three consecutive TKO wins. The 26-year-old previously fought on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's Saudi Arabian showdown with Francis Ngannou, where he beat South African Kevin Lerena via unanimous decision. Eight months have passed since Wardley was last in the ring against Frazer Clarke in a retribution showdown.
