Coronation Street icon to come back as Rovers Return landlady
Catherine Tyldsley, known for the role of Eva Price, is reportedly joining the ITV soap again to take on one of the most beloved roles in Weatherfield. It comes after Sally Ann Matthews, who plays recent pub landlady Jenny Connor, confirmed she would be leaving Corrie. A post shared by Catherine Tyldesley (@auntiecath17) Eva, who first arrived on the programme in 2011, will be following in the footsteps of former Rovers Return legends Liz McDonald, Bet Lynch and Annie Walker. A source told The Sun: 'It's one of the biggest jobs in soap, the landlady of the Rovers Return pub. "Bosses were desperate to get Cath back. "They came up with the perfect storyline with her being unveiled as the new landlady of the Rovers.' Corrie fans might remember Eva was last seen leaving the famous street in 2018 for a fresh start in France with her daughter Susie. This came after the heartbreaking death of her child's father, Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward). Following rumours of Catherine making her way back to Corrie earlier this year, fans began speculating if she could be the new Rovers Return landlady on Reddit, as the pub was put up for sale by Carla Connor (Alison King). In a discussion about who could be taking on the job of the adored watering hole, someone said on the r/coronationstreet page: 'I thought Catherine Tyldesley was coming back? If so, I reckon it could be her.' 'I imagine her and Glenda (Jodie Prenger) would put on so many fun bingo nights and the like. If not I'm sure the punter would come streaming in anyway to look dreamily into Eva's eyes while hearing absolutely nothing of what she's saying.' This viewer posted: 'I think it's Eva who is going to buy the else would she be coming back.'

I'm A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp charging fans up to £20 for photos on tour
I'm A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp is going on tour later this year and the former footballer manager is charging fans around an extra £15 to take a photo with him at his shows Fans of millionaire Harry Redknapp are being told: "He's a celebrity… get him £15 more for a selfie." The extra charge is being slapped on those who want a snap with the King of the Jungle at a talk he is hosting. The former football manager, whose love for wife Sandra and jam roly-polys helped him win ITV reality show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2018, is touring venues near his Sandbanks home in Dorset. But only fans with an £80 VIP ticket for An Evening with Harry Redknapp at St Petroc's Church in Bodmin, Cornwall, will get a selfie with the 78-year-old. Others at the October 9 event, who have splashed out up to £60 for a ticket, must pay £15 more for a pic. At Tregenna Castle in St Ives on October 3, a VIP ticket with a selfie costs £169, or £149 without one. It comes after Channel 4 breaks silence after Gogglebox couple suddenly dumped from show. Fans who stump up for the £169 'Premium VIP' admission get "a personal photo opportunity (taken by us with your own camera/phone)". A VIP ticket without the snap costs £149 at the same appearance. An advert for the talks says former Bournemouth, West Ham and Portsmouth manager Harry "will be sharing insider stories, football anecdotes and plenty of laughs". It also promises a Q&A session with one of football's "most charismatic figures". Harry, who may return to the jungle in an all-star spin-off, is not the only famous name to charge for photos. Actors Danny Dyer and Sir David Jason have also previously asked fans to shell out extra for snaps. Harry, known for his nifty moves in football transfers, stormed off a 2010 TV interview when reporter suggested he was a wheeler-dealer. He replied: "I'm not a wheeler and dealer – f*** off. I'm a f***ing football manager." Last month, Harry's £5million mansion was targeted by burglars who stole wife Sandra's jewellery.

Coronation Street legend Catherine Tyldesley 'will FINALLY return to the cobbles' seven years after quitting
Catherine Tyldesley will reportedly finally make a return to Coronation Street seven years after quitting the coblbes. The actress, 41, became a household name when she was first cast as glamorous barmaid Eva Price on the ITV soap in 2011. She was the on-screen daughter of Stella Price, played by EastEnders star Michelle Collins, who was also the long-lost mother of Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). But Catherine quit the cobbles in 2018, and producers are said to have been trying to entice her back for years, and she will finally begin filming again this summer. It is believed that after some persuading by soap bosses, Eva is going to take over the Rovers Return Inn as will be the brand new landlady, according to The Sun. A source told the publication: 'It's one of the biggest jobs in soap, the landlady of the Rovers Return pub. 'Bosses were desperate to get Cath back, they came up with the perfect storyline with her being unveiled as the new landlady of the Rovers.' Daily Mail has contacted ITV and Catherine's representatives for comment. During her time on the serial, Eva famously had a relationship with Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) but he had an affair with Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). As an act of revenge when she found out, Eva faked a pregnancy and spent Aidan's savings on a pink Range Rover. The pair later become engaged but Maria burst into the wedding to expose the truth about the fake pregnancy. A short time later, Eva discovered that she was actually pregnant with Aidan's baby but agreed to give the child to her half-sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor). Soon after that, Aidan took his own life in 2017, and Eva became attached to baby Susie and left the cobbles in the back of a taxi with her. Catherine then starred in the short-lived sitcom Scarborough and played a leading role in Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, but it was cancelled halfway through the tour amid poor ticket sales. The soap star reunited with her Corrie on-screen boyfriend, X Factor winner Shayne, on The Good Ship Murder, which began airing its second series in January. There was also another Weatherfield reunion when Catherine starred alongside her former co-star Michelle Keegan once again earlier this year. Catherine took on a guest starring role on Michelle's comedy series Brassic, with the pair sharing photographs from set during filming. News of Catherine's comeback comes shortly after she admitted she would 'never say never' to returning to Corrie. She told Prima magazine: ' Coronation Street feels like forever ago, but I always look back with such great fondness 'But if they approached me with an amazing storyline and the time was right, of course, I'd go back. So it's always a case of never say never.'
