Pascal Wehrlein isn't too happy after Tokyo race
Taking to Instagram, Pascal Wehrlein shared a picture from the Tokyo E-Prix and wrote, 'P2! Strong fight - shame about the safety car in the end. Thank you Tokyo and all the fans! Arigatō.' The safety car had come out at a crucial moment when NEOM McLaren driver Taylor Barnard went into the barrier.
Opening up about the race, Wehrlein said, 'It was an important day in general I think, as yesterday was very tricky.
At the moment I'm still a bit disappointed because I think we could have done better, but there was just no way to defend my position when Oli [Rowland] was in Attack Mode. I did everything right and probably we need to analyse what we could have done better, but still, second is a good result with Dan [Ticktum] in P3. It's a very strong day for our package, which on the other side makes all of us happy.'
He appeared calm and composed during the press conference as well.
'We could have done things a bit differently to finish the race in first place. So on one side, a bit disappointed, I really wanted to win that race. On the other side, it was a good result for the team P3, strong day for us. It is what it is,' he said.
Pascal Wehrlein currently stands second in the Formula E Driver Standings with 84 points. He also secured third place on the podium at the Mexico E-Prix and later went on to win the Miami E-Prix.

Speaking to the media after the Tokyo race, Wehrlein said that he wasn't thinking about the championship points 'for several reasons' after finishing the race in second place. 'The gap is quite big. They also perform on a level which is super high. For us, it's a bit up and down. We were also unlucky in some situations. For me it's trying to maximize every race. Probably if I was thinking about the championship, I wouldn't be so disappointed about P2.
I am just looking race to race. I am not super happy but also not very disappointed,' he said.

Ross Cameron-Imagn Images) Golden State Warriors ' backcourt just got a little louder. With Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler preparing for their first full season together, the Warriors are entering 2025-26 with a mix of unfinished business and sky-high expectations. The pairing already showed flashes of brilliance last year, turning a middling season into a playoff push before injuries derailed their momentum. Now, both stars seem ready to pick up where they left off—and Curry's latest three-word message to Butler suggests the team's confidence is as strong as ever. The Jimmy Butler Effect on Golden State's Season Golden State was treading water before Jimmy Butler's arrival. Sitting at 25-26, the team needed a spark. That spark came when the Warriors traded for Butler from the Miami Heat. From that point on, the Warriors finished the season 48-34, going an impressive 23-8 after the trade. Jimmy Butler wasted no time making his presence felt, sliding into a complementary role alongside Curry while bringing his trademark intensity. Butler's Offseason Message and Stephen Curry's Response As the new season approaches, Butler has been showing just how much he's embraced his role with the Warriors. In a recent Instagram post from Wuhan, China, he shared a slideshow that not only expressed his excitement but also included shoutouts to teammates Draymond Green and Buddy Hield. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 21st Century Skills Start with Confident Communication Planet Spark Learn More Undo Stephen Curry couldn't resist joining the conversation. He left a short but telling comment: a celebration emoji followed by the words 'on the way,' signaling that big things could be coming for Golden State. How the Warriors Stars are Defying the Doubters W hen the trade went down, skepticism was everywhere. Many questioned whether Jimmy Butler could adjust after years as the Heat's go-to option, and some predicted clashes with Green given both players' fiery reputations. But the concerns haven't materialized. Butler has blended seamlessly into the Warriors' system, showing he's more than willing to adapt to a secondary role when the goal is winning. Those close to the team believe last postseason might have had a very different outcome if Stephen Curry's injury hadn't cut things short.
