Todd and Julie Chrisley Call Life ‘Rougher' After Prison Release
A jury convicted Todd and Julie of tax evasion and fraud charges in 2023, and they spent 28 months in prison. Their daughter Savannah Chrisley fought for their release. In May, she successfully secured a presidential pardon for her parents and brought them home.
Julie Chrisley has spoken to fellow former inmates since her release
However, Todd and Julie aren't instantly bouncing back. They were in shock right after coming home and adjusting to life outside of prison. They talked a bit more about it on their newly returned podcast, Chrisley Confessions 2.0.
'I've actually talked to a few of the women that I was in prison with that they're already home,' Julie said during their July 23rd episode. 'We all have this general consensus that … it's kind of weird to even say it.'
'Life is rougher than prison life,' Todd confirmed. He realized that it was 'a sad thing to say,' but that it was true.
'It's so horrific, the conditions that you're there for, but that's from a physical standpoint,' he admitted. 'But from an emotional and psychological standpoint, it is harder dealing with day to day.'
Julie explained that part of it was knowing that in prison they 'don't have any control' and that there is 'very little you can do.' That changed her way of thinking when it came to life behind bars.
'People told me when I first got there, that you can't live out there and in here at the same time because it will literally drive you crazy,' she shared. 'And it's true. The longer you are in there, the more removed you become to the world.'
The couple admit that rediscovering their normal routine is 'crazy' and it's challenging getting back into the swing of running a house and making sure everything is done. Most of all, they both admit that sleeping has been the biggest difficulty.
'I went to prison for 28 months and I never had trouble sleeping,' Todd shared. 'Maybe because I wasn't fighting with everybody. The Chrisley Clan, they're the ones who have kept me awake all these years.'
Julie agreed that she loves her children and family, but prison forced her to focus only on herself. Being at home means adjusting her way of thinking again.
Chrisley Knows Best is streaming on Peacock.

Grimm Reboot: Elizabeth Tulloch Offers ‘Exciting' Update on Potential Peacock Series — Would She Return?
It's been seven months since news first broke of a Grimm reboot being developed at Peacock, and we've been practically woging with anticipation ever since. So when TVLine recently connected with original series star Elizabeth Tulloch, we couldn't resist asking for an update, and the woman formerly known as Juliette (or Eve, depending on the day) was happy to oblige. More from TVLine Suzanne Rogers Exiting Days of Our Lives...?! Rep Addresses Wild Rumor Peyton Meyer Exits Days of Our Lives: Did Doug Williams Redeem Himself Before Leaving Salem? Days of Our Lives Snags Two-Season Renewal at Peacock, Keeping It Streaming Through 2028 'I know there's a script being written, and I know that David [Giuntoli] met with them,' Tulloch tells us. 'I don't think they would do a reboot or a spinoff or whatever it's going to be without David's involvement.' Grimm originally aired for six seasons (2011–2017) on NBC, starring Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a detective who descends from a long line of Grimms — aka slayers of fairytale monsters known as Wesen. 'It's pretty exciting,' Tulloch says of the show's still-growing fanbase, which she attributes to the show's multiple streaming homes. 'A lot of people are sort of finding Grimm. We did 123 episodes, and it has like 90% on Rotten Tomatoes still.' As for whether Tulloch would like to reprise one or both of her roles in a potential continuation of Grimm… you'll have to watch the interview: In addition to Giuntoli and Tulloch, Grimm also starred Claire Coffee, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz and Jacqueline Toboni. The series was created by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, who also served as co-showrunners. Both are reportedly involved in Peacock's potential reboot, along with original series producers Lynn Kouf, Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television. Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva, CSI, The Blacklist) is writing and executive-producing the new series. At the time of the original report, a rep for Peacock told TVLine that it had no additional information to share. Hit PLAY on the video above to watch TVLine's interview with Tulloch, then drop a comment with your dream project below. Are you hoping for a direct continuation in which Nick passes the torch to a new Grimm? Or perhaps you'd rather get a spinoff following specific characters? 'Jurassic World Rebirth' releases on digital this week: Where to watch
It's dinos vs. humans once again with the release of "Jurassic World Rebirth," the seventh film in the popular franchise. In the five years after the events of "Jurassic World Dominion," the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs and those remaining only exist in "isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived," the film's synopsis says. "The three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind," it adds. Zora Bennett (Scarlet Johansson) is tasked to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material. Stream Jurassic World Rebirth USA TODAY's Brian Truitt gave the film ★★½ out of four, writing "director Gareth Edwards at least tries something different by throwing a heist movie into the usual perilous adventure." "But homages to Steven Spielberg's 1993 original, a starry cast (including Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Oscar winner Mahershala Ali) and dinos aplenty can only do so much when saddled with generic characters and a rickety plot," Truitt says, adding "this franchise probably should have been extinct a while ago. We're stuck with it, though, so might as well go with the pterosaur flow." Here is what to know about the digital release for "Jurassic World Rebirth," and when it will be available to stream. 'Jurassic World Rebirth' movie review: Dinos still rule over rickety plot When will 'Jurassic World Rebirth' be released digitally? "Jurassic World Rebirth" will be available to buy and rent on digital platforms, such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, on Tuesday, Aug. 5, according to the film's website. Watch 'Jurassic World Rebirth' on Amazon Prime | Apple TV 'Jurassic World Rebirth' 4K Blu-ray/DVD release "Jurassic World Rebirth" will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 9, per Universal Pictures. The studio, in a news release, said the digital and Blu-ray version of the movie will offer exclusive bonus features, such as "never-before-seen deleted scenes with extra dinosaur mayhem, an alternate opening, a long-form making-of documentary detailing the film's jaw-dropping visuals, sound design," as well as a gag reel among other things. Universal Pictures' films typically release on Peacock a few months after their theatrical release, which means "Jurassic World Rebirth" could drop on the streaming platform sometime in late October or early November. However, neither the studio nor the streaming platform has made an official announcement regarding the film's streaming release. The six previous "Jurassic" movies are all streaming on Peacock. "Jurassic Park," "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic Park III" were also available to stream on Netflix at the time of publish. Love Island USA: JaNa Craig Pleads With Fans To Help Her ‘Close This Chapter' Amid Kenny Rodriguez Split
Love Island USA star JaNa Craig wants to move on with life following her split from Kenny Rodriguez. Source: River Callaway / Getty In the midst of the former couple's messy breakup, Craig, 28, took to Instagram on Thursday, July 31, to send a message to her fans, insisting she is ready to 'close this chapter' of her life. Despite all of the nasty rumors surrounding the split, JaNa insists she is doing well, thanking everyone for their support in a video on her Instagram Stories. She showed off the abundance of flowers that friends and brands had sent to her apartment, expressing her gratitude before opening up about wanting to move on. 'I've seen all the love you guys drown me in on social media; it has been an overflow of just support and prayers, and that means more to me than you guys will ever know,' she said in the video. 'But I want to close this chapter of my life. Like, I don't want it to take any more of my energy. I don't want it to take any more of y'all energy. You guys did such an amazing job showing me that I'm OK and I'm gonna be OK, and that it's all love.' Source: Ben Symons / Peacock The Love Island USA Season 6 star continued, 'So if we can all agree to just like, close the chapter … it's draining me, and I know it's draining you guys, but just so you know, I saw all the love. What's done is done. God knows what happens. And that's all that matters.' JaNa made headlines earlier this week when she confirmed she was no longer with Kenny after nearly a year of dating. 'Hi my loves. Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me. As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together,' JaNa revealed on Tuesday, July 29, via Instagram Stories. 'Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn't who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn't been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.' Instagram Stories from JaNa's friends gave more insight into why the pair split, with multiple people calling Kenny 'racist' and one of her friends encouraging women to go through their partners' phones. While Craig has yet to reveal what happened, eagle-eyes fans have come to the conclusion that Rodriguez likely talked poorly about JaNa in text messages to his friends. Despite the messy split, JaNa posted a second video to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, encouraging her fans not to include Kenny's family in the drama. 'If you genuinely love me, if you genuinely care about me, you want to help me heal, I'm begging you, please leave Kenny's family alone,' she said. 'That family did nothing wrong to me. They were nothing but kind. Everyone I ever met always defended me, always stood up for me. Craig continued: 'Do not go to their houses. Do not go to their jobs. Do not threaten them. I'm begging you, leave them alone. They've been through enough.'
