Boosie Badazz concert shooting in Ohio leaves three injured, police investigating

Express Tribune11-03-2025
Boosie Badazz's concert in Akron, Ohio, took a tragic turn when gunshots rang out during his live performance, leaving three people injured. The shooting occurred on Monday, March 10, at the Field House Lounge, where Boosie was performing as part of the Millennium Tour 2025.
According to Cleveland 19, the shooting occurred at approximately 2 a.m. during Boosie's set, and the incident was captured on video by concertgoers. The video quickly spread online, showing the chaotic aftermath as fans fled the scene.
Police responded to the scene and found two of the victims—an 18-year-old man and a 36-year-old man—at the venue. A third victim, a 25-year-old man, later sought treatment at a hospital for a 'graze-gunshot' wound. While his injury was less severe, the two other victims are in critical condition. The identities of the victims have not been released.
Cleveland 19 reports that the shooting occurred after a fight broke out among individuals at the concert. Police have not yet identified a suspect, and no arrests have been made. Boosie Badazz has not publicly commented on the incident at this time.
This is not the first time Boosie has been involved in gun violence at one of his shows. In August 2024, two men were fatally shot during a Boosie performance in Pacific Junction, Iowa. In the aftermath, Boosie distanced himself from the incident, stating, 'I don't know. Some sh*t happened at the front but we're going to take it to Crush Ultra Lounge. Party don't stop.'
The rapper has also been linked to a shooting incident in 2006, when five people were shot at a concert he performed with Plies. Boosie clarified in a recent interview with Vlad TV that the rumors of a feud with Plies being the cause of the shooting were false. 'Everybody thought that sht happened with me and Plies, but it didn't,' Boosie asserted. 'They held that sht that Boosie and Plies were beefing all the way until I went to prison. They put Boosie and Plies against each other. I had nothing to do with it.'
The investigation into the Akron shooting is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Boosie Badazz accepts federal plea deal in gun possession case

Rapper Boosie Badazz has accepted a federal plea deal related to a 2023 gun possession case, signaling a major development in the long-running legal battle. The Baton Rouge native, born Torence Hatch, shared the update on August 4 via X (formerly Twitter), telling fans he's 'tired of fighting.' The plea stems from a June 2023 traffic stop in San Diego, California, during which two firearms were discovered in Boosie's vehicle. While state-level charges were dropped in 2024, federal prosecutors pursued the case, citing his status as a convicted felon—making firearm possession a federal offense. JUST ACCEPTED A PLEA FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON MY GUN CASE. I THOUGHT THIS CASE WAS OVER N I WAS GOING TO GET ON WITH MY LIFE BUT 'GOD DONT MAKE MISTAKES ' N IM TIRED OF FIGHTING‼️TALKED TO MY FAMILY N THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION💯TO ALL MY FANS ACROSS THE WORLD SAY A PRAYER… — Boosie BadAzz (@BOOSIEOFFICIAL) August 4, 2025 Although the exact terms of the plea deal remain undisclosed, Boosie emphasized the importance of his family's input and expressed gratitude to fans. He encouraged supporters to pray for him and stream his latest project, Words of a Real One. Boosie had previously believed the matter was settled when the state charges were dismissed, calling it a fresh start. Now, with federal sentencing pending, the rapper may be facing more time behind bars. He has yet to confirm a court date or sentence. The case has reignited public interest, placing Boosie Badazz back in the spotlight as fans await updates.

Boosie Badazz replaces totaled BMW hours after crash

Boosie Badazz didn't let the pain of a recent crash keep him down for long. Just hours after a multi-car accident totaled his BMW, the Louisiana rapper was spotted at a dealership, picking up a brand-new white BMW. Despite still recovering from the crash, Boosie, who was seen limping and needing assistance to walk, was determined to get behind the wheel again. In a video posted on April 8, Boosie told dealership staff, 'I'm injured right now. I can't really walk.' However, after test-driving his new car, he noted, 'Feeling a little better now,' and made plans to return the following day to choose a second vehicle. The crash, which occurred on April 7 in Union City, Georgia, left Boosie's green and black BMW, valued at over $100,000, completely wrecked. The rapper, however, made it clear on Instagram that he wasn't the one behind the wheel. In a video, Boosie stated, 'No, I ain't wreck no f###### car. I don't never wreck no car. Stupid ass n##### wreck my cars. My fourth car in six months. I ain't never wreck s###.' According to police reports, Boosie was a passenger during the crash. They confirmed that a driver ran a red light at high speed, triggering the multi-car collision. Though Boosie suffered minor injuries, including being visibly shaken and shirtless at the scene, he was able to walk. Several others involved in the crash were hospitalized. Earlier that day, Boosie shared on Facebook that he was 'good' despite being 'banged up,' thanking God for his survival.
