Some T-Mobile customers may soon be able to score a special lifetime discount
T-Mobile uses excess capacity on its 5G network to provide an alternative to wired internet to households. T-Mobile 's Home Internet is affordable and fast enough for most customers. It starts at $35 for customers with voice lines and at $50 for customers who don't use its cellular services. The company is now extending a coveted discount to some Home Internet-only customers to get them to switch from their current cellular provider. T-Mobile is expected to witness slower growth in the second half of the year due to forward buying by customers as a result of tariff fears. The company is reportedly also experiencing a customer exodus. That's perhaps why it has been rolling out retention deals and switcher promos.
With its latest offer, T-Mobile is seemingly going after customers who are happy with its Home Internet. The company is hoping that their positive experience might make them consider using its voice services too. Per The Mobile Report , the company is now offering the famous Insider discount to select Home Internet-only accounts. This is a special discount that only employees can offer you. It's usually given to new customers to get them to port in or bring in their number from another carrier. It usually knocks prices down by 20 percent for the life of the account. The Insider discount for Home Internet customers will work similarly. You will pay 20 percent less than the advertised rate for voice lines for as long as you maintain your account and the discount will even apply to any lines you may add in the future. It will be stackable with other discounts, so you don't have to worry about missing out on other deals.
The discount code will only work if you opt for T-Mobile 's latest Experience More and Experience Beyond plans. This could be a deal breaker, considering T-Mobile has been criticized for not including taxes and other fees with the prices for these plans. However, as the company's newest plans, they come with the best it has to offer, meaning you will get faster speeds and perks that other plans might not include.

After you answer a call, the phone number of the other party will remain on the display, unlike the current design that shows the number replaced by the length of the call. It's hard to believe that T-Mobile supposedly treated a 20-year customer like this
A woman named Isabella recently posted a TikTok video explaining how her mother, a customer of T-Mobile for 20 years, wanted to cancel her service so that she could switch to Mint Mobile. At the time of the cancellation, the customer made it clear that all three lines with T-Mobile were to be canceled. At this point, Isabella's mom stopped receiving paper bills which made her think that T-Mobile had correctly pulled the plug on all three lines. But last February the mother realized that she had been paying started receiving bills from T-Mobile charging her $120 each month. T-Mobile had mistakenly left one of the three lines active even though the customer had made it clear that all three of her lines were supposed to be canceled. Surprisingly, T-Mobile admitted to the mistake and promised to pay back the former customer $120 immediately and said the remaining $351 that the carrier owed her would be approved in just a few days. As it turned out, what T-Mobile promised its former 20-year customer was not what happened. Instead of sending a refund, T-Mobile billed Isabella's mom stating that the charges from September to February were valid. Just when you thought T-Mobile couldn't screw up this matter and make it any worse, they charged the woman late charges even though they were withdrawing the invoice amount directly from her bank account each month. @bubbleteabella Let me tell you how T-Mobile quietly drained almost $500 from my mom's bank account after she canceled her service. As Isabella points out about her mom, "This is happening after being a loyal customer for over 20 years." She also says that her mom has filed a complaint with the FCC and if others are having a similar problem with T-Mobile , "some legal action" is the only solution. Remember, T-Mobile admitted that it made the mistake of closing only two lines, not the three requested. Yet, the carrier continued to bill the former customer, lied about returning the payments that this 20-year T-Mobile customer made, and even charged her a late fee even though T-Mobile withdrew the funds directly from the ex-customer's bank account each month.
