Beyoncé's tour heads to Atlanta: Parking, bag policy, tailgating at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is headed to Atlanta to kick off her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on June 10, 11, 13 and 14.
The ATL stop comes after Beyoncé delivered two dazzling concerts at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland — five miles east of Washington, D.C. The first show fell on the Fourth of July, with the follow-up performance taking place July 7. The holiday made for an especially significant night given the messages and motifs pertaining to country music, America's complex past and its ongoing cultural reckoning.
Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with a 39-song set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion and different music genres.
Atlanta is Beyoncé's last Southern stop on her tour. Here's what to know as fans head to Mercedes-Benz Stadium during her four-night stint.
How to get to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, merchandise, more
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is located at 1 AMB Drive NW in Atlanta. The gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. local time. However, fans with VIP packages should check their emails prior to arrival for specific instructions for early entry.
Concertgoers with floor seats are required to enter at the designated floor gate near gate 1, which is located next to the soccer ball sculpture. Fans can purchase official merchandise on show days at 2 p.m. local time. The merch stands will also be open July 12 from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. local time. All exterior merchandise locations will be located across from gates 1 and 2.
According to the stadium, MARTA is the fastest and easiest form of transportation to the stadium. There are two stations connected to the station, Vine City Station and the GWCC/CNN Center Station. Fans using ride-share options should drop-off and pickup at zone 1 in front of building C and zone 2 at South Downtown ATL.
The venue warns it will be difficult to use ride-share after the concert.
Important information about parking and tailgating
There are more than 20,000 parking spots available within a 20-minute walk of the stadium. However, each vary in price depending on a variety of factors including proximity and availability. Attendees are highly encouraged to purchase parking in advance on the stadium's official website as many spaces have already sold for some of Beyoncé's shows.
Parking lots open at 2 p.m. local time. Tailgating is permitted ahead of the show in the Home Depot Backyard areas for ticket holders only. Fans are expected to head inside the concert within 30 minutes of the show start time. After, up to four people may stay in the specific tailgate spot to maintain security of the equipment.
Fans may find information about tailgating here.
What's the weather in Atlanta?
From the United States to Europe, Beyoncé and her fans have braved severe weather conditions, an evacuation, cold temperatures and rainy weather for her concerts. Fans should take note of the weather in their respective cities before putting on their chic cowboy-core attire.
In Houston, fans can expect some rain and hot temperatures. It's important to stay hydrated before and during the nearly three-hour show. Forecasts predict rain on Thursday, Friday and Sunday with highs in the 80s and 90s expected for the concerts. Meanwhile the temperature is expected to be 92 degrees for the last show on July 14.
Per the artist's request, the roof will be closed so umbrellas will not be needed.
Bag policy at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Fans must follow the NFL clear-bag policy at the stadium. Guests are allowed to bring bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12-by-6-by-12 inches. This includes clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and clear cinch bags.
Attendees are also permitted to bring one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, but the logo can only be on one side. Additionally, small, non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5-by-6.5 inches, with or without a handle or strap, are allowed. Medical bags or kits are acceptable and will be searched at the gate.
Small cameras and cell phones are allowed if they are carried in loosely or in an approved clear bag. Non-professional cameras with non-removable lenses are permitted as long as the lens is less than 5 inches in length. Signs must be handheld, event-related and in good taste, and cannot obstruct another guest's view.

New Apple TV Plus thriller starring Jessica Chastain gets release date
She's played heavily-mascaraed televangelists, stoic CIA analysts, sweet Southern socialites and an underground poker boss — now Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Chastain is adding "The Savant" to her list of memorable performances, the titular role of the upcoming crime thriller miniseries for Apple TV Plus. Inspired by an August 2019 article by Andrea Stanley, entitled "Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?" and published by Cosmopolitan, the limited series has Chastain playing an undercover investigator who infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act,' per the show's logline. It marks the performer's first major TV role since leading 2022's "George & Tammy," in which she portrayed country-music icon Tammy Wynette. "I've played real people that I could talk to, like Maya from 'Zero Dark Thirty,'' Chastain said in a December 2023 interview with The Saturday Paper. 'A lot of people came out and claimed to be Maya from 'Zero Dark Thirty'; none of them have been [her]. I spoke to her before I played the role ... I've also played characters where I didn't have the benefit of meeting with them and working with them, like Tammy Wynette. "With 'The Savant,' I didn't feel that it was as important to get all of her mannerisms because she's undercover. I wouldn't want to look and behave exactly like her, because I want to keep her hidden.' And after much delay — the streaming service had ordered the concept from Fifth Season all the way back in March 2023 — the eight-episode series will officially premiere on Friday, September 26 with its first two installments. Individual eps will drop weekly thereafter, culminating on Friday, November 7. The "tense and thrilling" drama was created by Melissa James Gibson, an Emmy-nominated showrunner and writer known for her work on "House of Cards" and "The Americans. " Along with Chastain, the cast of "The Savant" includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, and guest star Pablo Schreiber. Andrea Stanley, who wrote the Cosmopolitan story that serves as the show's source material, is a consultant. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Tom's Guide will keep you posted on all things related to "The Savant," including teaser trailers, plot points, character details and more.

Cam's 'All Things Light' is one of the best albums of the year. Here's why.
Cam's name isn't as instantly recognizable as the Nashville artists selling out stadiums and dumping a trove of singles on the charts. But the singer-songwriter who has worked with Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus and Jack Antonoff and written five songs for Beyoncé's Grammy Award-winning epic 'Cowboy Carter,' has delivered many an emotive song of her own during her decade-plus career. Her 2015 hit, 'Burning House,' ignited to the Top 5 of Billboard's country chart and was certified triple platinum, while a 2019 collaboration with Diplo, 'So Long,' dented the dance chart. Cam's latest album, 'All Things Light,' (out now) is efficient, profound and one of the most quietly formidable of the year. Cam, born Camaron Ochs, began writing songs for the album after she became a mother during the isolating early months of the pandemic. Her college years traveling through Nepal and Egypt and working as a psychology researcher at Stanford and the University of California, Berkeley, helped steer her toward meditation, which she relied on during that insulating period of parenting. The dozen songs on 'All Things Light' reflect her thoughtfulness and her desire to impart wisdom to her daughter, Lucy (whose name is derived from the Latin word for 'light'). She accomplishes her goal through a genre-defying amalgamation of country, Americana, pop and soul. The album's first single, 'Alchemy,' is an ideal platform for her crystalline voice and penchant for lush harmonies, while 'Slow Down' takes listeners on a 97-second stroll of strumming folk guitar and cheery whistling akin to vintage Loretta Lynn. Cam, 40, inhabits a space similar to Brandi Carlile, her appealing songs making their point in a pure, expressive voice. Here are a few of the best tracks on 'All Things Light.' More: Dave Stewart was playing Dylan songs as a teen. Now he's made an album of them 'Just for You' Cam is masterful at conveying deep feelings in few words. Another of her under-two-minutes songs says all it needs to under a blanket of glorious harmonizing that blends '60s-era girl group sensibilities with soul. 'If you want someone's shoulder, I've got two,' she offers in her honeyed voice, a simple proclamation that lands hard. 'Nevermine' Songs about loves that just weren't meant to be aren't exactly original territory. But when Cam sings, ' I feel stupid/I feel bruised/I feel out of line/You were never mine to lose' under a canopy of bowed electric guitars trembling and melancholy piano plinking, she infuses a familiar sentiment with a dash of peaceful resignation. 'We Always Do' Cam ends her album on a hopeful note. She promises faithfulness ('When you look in the mirror and see someone new/I will be here to remind you of you') and shares her vulnerability ('You let me storm off to avoid the monsoon/you know I can't sleep in the other room') with equal sincerity. Over chords from a Rhodes piano, gentle strings and a beat that sprints and slackens, Cam allows the song to trail off in a swirl of sound with a final message: 'You gotta try.'
