Those parents who are lucky enough to get to take maternity leave know how negatively some people can view the time off. Many folks incorrectly assume that the leave is some sort of a vacation for new parents, where they get to enjoy a little extra leisure time at the expense (sometime figuratively, and sometimes literally) of their co-workers. Now, Kylie Kelce is speaking out against those naysayers, and she has some really strong opinions on the matter.

When Kelce returned to her podcast after her nearly two month long maternity leave, she did so with a vengeance and a bone to pick with anyone who believes that the time a new parent spends recovering from child birth (or in some cases, bonding with a newly adopted baby) is a walk in the park.
She sounded off about that mindset on the latest episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. "Can I be honest about maternity leave? First of all, I just wanna get ahead of something. Maternity leave is not a break or a vacation," she told her listeners. "That is a crazy concept."
"Do you think I was just kicking up my feet and lying in the sun out by the pool and chilling without a care in the world? Because you'd be wrong," she continued. "I birthed a child who prefers contact naps. That's right. I got another Wyatt sleeper."
Apparently, Kelce has been attached at the hip to her daughter Finnley "Finn" since her birth, which is why she says she's spent the last seven weeks learning new skills.
"Maternity leave for me is figuring out how to do things one-handed again. That is a skill that you have to master," Kelce Joked. "We have graduated to having her wrapped onto me for no exaggeration, probably anywhere from three to five hours of the day, collectively, which is interesting."
Honestly, that's a very accurate take on maternity leave. For those who are fortunate to be in a position where it's offered, most of those early days are spent learning how to be a parent and how to live alongside the brand new human in your life. We're glad Kelce is setting the record straight, hopefully the people listen!

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Are Together in Florida for a Reason, Says ‘Source'

's current reported living situation with Travis Kelce in Miami proves that she is supporting her beau in the best way. The singer-songwriter has largely stayed away from the spotlight since her last major public appearance at the 2025 Super Bowl. During the downtime, Swift has continued to enjoy romantic outings with Kelce. Most recently, the star couple was spotted on a dinner date in Florida. A new report has now suggested that Swift and Kelce are in Miami for a reason. A new report has shed some light on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's current living situation in Miami after their recent dinner date. PEOPLE exclusively learned from a source that the singer is staying with the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end in Florida while he is training for the upcoming NFL season. Swift is extending her time in Miami to 'support and spend time' with Kelce. The hotshot couple, who have been dating since 2023, was recently spotted in Florida during a dinner date at Harry's in West Palm Beach. The source told PEOPLE that Kelce had been 'working on Friday before his dinner date' with Swift. They noted, 'He left early to go meet her.' The source later added that the athlete 'still seems very happy' with his girlfriend. Meanwhile, as the snapshots from Swift and Kelce's date night surfaced on the internet, the NFL star's mom, Donna Kelce, also showed her support. She sweetly liked a fan photo that captured moments from the couple's outing. It showed Swift and Kelce cozying up at their booth while dining at Harry's in West Palm Beach. In addition to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's living situation, another report recently hinted at a potential proposal. The Daily Mail exclusively learned from a source that the 'conversation will be front and center' after Kelce is 'done playing.' Kylie Kelce Admits To Parenting Mistake After Welcoming Fourth Baby

Kylie Kelce Admits To Parenting Mistake After Welcoming Fourth Baby originally appeared on Parade. Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie may have four children — but it doesn't mean they've stopped learning on their parenting journey. The couple welcomed their fourth daughter Finnley in March and Kylie says she recently realized that she'd picked up a bad habit while caring for their youngest child. The Not Gonna Lie podcast host admitted that she noticed that she's been scrolling through her phone a little too much. Kylie explained that she can't help but look back at old photos of her other children and compare baby Finn's milestones to her older daughters. "I will say, it's almost as bad as Googling on your fourth kid, when you start scrolling back in your camera roll to see what your other children were doing at this age," Kylie shared on the May 29 episode of her podcast. "It's a bad idea. It's not a good idea. And I would like to stop doing it, but I can't." While it's certainly not the biggest parenting flaw, Kylie added that she is admittedly is still heading to Google when she has questions about raising a newborn — even though it's the fourth time she's doing it. "I am still Googling things 'cause that doesn't stop either," she shared. "It's similar like when people say to me, 'Well you have four kids what's your advice?' No, I actually still have no idea what I'm doing. We're all winging it." Kylie also shared some details about what the past few months have been like with the new addition to the fam, revealing that Finnley prefers to be close to mom when she's napping. "I birthed a child who prefers contact naps. We love that. I have been attached to the tiny human for the past 8 weeks," Kylie said, adding that she was going to have the "sickest bicep" from holding the little girl so much. She continued, "Maternity leave for me is figuring out how to do things one handed again. That is a skill that you have to master. We have graduated to having her wrapped onto me, no exaggeration, anywhere probably anywhere from three to five hours a day collectively." Kylie added that she's been trying to include her daughters as much as possible in caring for Finnley — although Bennett, 2, tends to pretend that her sister doesn't exist. Meanwhile, Wyatt, 5, and Elliotte, 4, have been "super helpful" with the baby "They want to talk to her. She very much locks in on their faces and is distracted from an upset moment by their voices and by how close they get which is, I mean, one of the cutest things you've ever seen in your whole life," Kylie shared.
