Gujarat: CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates Swaminarayan Gurukul in Vadodara

Vadodara (Gujarat) [India], June 9 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly built Swaminarayan Gurukul in Dabhoi, located in Vadodara district, where he received a warm welcome.
The chief minister described the event as a meaningful step towards reviving India's ancient education system and praised the Gurukul for combining modern facilities with traditional values.
In a post on X, he said, 'I was fortunate enough to be present at the inauguration of the Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Complex built at Dabhoi in Vadodara district and receive the holy presence and blessings of the venerable saints.'
He said the new Gurukul would help students achieve both academic success and moral strength. 'In this complex, which is full of modern facilities that ignite the flame of culture along with education, children will not only receive quality education, but will also learn lessons in the moral values of life,' he wrote.
Calling Gurukuls the best heritage of our eternal tradition, the chief minister added, 'Gurukuls are centres for acquiring the values of religion, culture, discipline, and spiritual lifestyle along with education.'
He also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, saying, 'Our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, fulfilling the mantra of 'Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi', has implemented a new education policy with education in the mother tongue, knowledge of technical subjects and value-based education.'
While expressing his optimism about the impact of the Gurukul, he said, 'On this occasion, he expressed his confidence that by studying in this Gurukul, the students will make the best contribution to the upliftment of society and the building of a developed India - a developed Gujarat.'
Earlier on Sunday, Chief Minister also unveiled the book Sonani Hatdi, highlighting the esteemed heritage of the Patidar community, at Vishv Umiya Dham in Ahmedabad. The book documents a 750-year-old genealogy of the Patidar royal courts and the Desai Bhayats, according to the release.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that unity is strength and collective efforts are more impactful than individual ones, making even the toughest tasks achievable.
He said that while the freedom struggle began with the Non-Cooperation Movement, the present era is one of achieving prosperity through cooperation. Communities built on collaboration, empathy, and mutual trust consistently witness sustained growth and development. (ANI)

"Our whole family had voter IDs from Bankipur. In April 2024, I applied to add my name to the Lakhisarai constituency and remove it from Bankipur. It did not happen immediately, so I called the BLO, filled the form, and took the receipt. I have all the documents. "I voted from only one place last time too; it was in Lakhisarai," Sinha said, according to an ANI news agency report. Patna DM in the letter mentioned that Sinha's name has been found recorded at both places. "Regarding the inclusion of your name in the voter lists of two Assembly constituencies in the draft electoral roll published based on the qualification date 01.07.2025," he said. The DM further asked the Deputy CM to submit his response on this matter by August 14.

Bengaluru: School students from across Bengaluru gathered at the city's railway station on Sunday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing their joy and excitement at the rare chance to meet him in person. The Prime Minister is in the city to inaugurate the much-awaited Yellow Line Metro and flag off Vande Bharat train services in Karnataka. Students, holding handmade sketches and portraits of PM Modi, conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Railways for offering them this opportunity. Speaking to IANS, several students shared their admiration for the Prime Minister. One said, 'I am feeling very excited and grateful to have got this opportunity to meet our Prime Minister. I would like to thank the Indian Railways for giving us such a chance. PM Modi is very hardworking and treats everyone equally. The country loves him.' Another student added, 'We are getting this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the Prime Minister, and we are very happy. He is my ideal politician. From education to defence, the Prime Minister has taken us forward in every field. He is also the second-longest serving Prime Minister, and we are thrilled to meet him.' A third student said, 'Vande Bharat is a very good train, and we thank the Prime Minister for gifting this to Bengaluru. I have come here to express my gratitude through my artwork.' Meanwhile, security arrangements are heightened in the city ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. The Karnataka Police Department has deployed more than 10,000 personnel to ensure safety and security during the visit. BJP flags have been erected along the entire route of the Prime Minister's travel. Security arrangements have been intensified at the R.V. Road–Bommasandra Metro Line and the Majestic Railway Station, where the inauguration programmes will be held. Barricades and check posts have been set up at more than 50 locations across the city, and vehicle checks are already underway. The BJP has made elaborate arrangements to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi at various points along his route to the inauguration events in Bengaluru. Thousands of BJP workers will greet him at Mekhri Circle, Chalukya Circle, Kanteerava Sangolli Rayanna Circle, South End Circle, Ragigudda, and Electronics City.
