The Ohio State Buckeyes clearly want to sign one four-star receiver in the 2027 recruiting class.
Highly touted wideout Monshun Sales had already been to Ohio State multiple times before this weekend. On3's Mick Walker reported Friday that Sales was visiting Ohio State once again.

"Four-star wide receiver Monshun Sales out of Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence North will be one of two highly-ranked pass catchers at Ohio State this weekend. The Buckeyes offered the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Sales in May. He has already visited twice, for a spring practice in April and a game last season," wrote Walker.
"Alabama, Michigan and others are standing out early for Sales but offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline will have the opportunity to make a move this weekend."

The other highly touted pass-catcher visiting Columbus, Ohio this weekend is five-star tight end Brock Williams.

A top 20 recruit in the 2027 class, Williams is the No. 2 tight end on the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Sales posted a picture of himself along with a few other recruits who were at Ohio State this weekend.
Similar to Williams, Sales is one of the top prospects at his position in the 2027 recruiting class.
The 247 Sports composite rankings have Sales rated as the No. 2 receiver and top Indiana prospect in the 2027 class. Sales is also the No. 14 overall recruit.
The Buckeyes have already landed two commits for the 2027 class — five-star athlete Jamier Brown and four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds.

Both prospects are top 10 recruits at their positions.

Jets' Justin Fields Signing A 'Low-Stakes Bet' To Fix Long-Standing Franchise Issue

Jets' Justin Fields Signing A 'Low-Stakes Bet' To Fix Long-Standing Franchise Issue originally appeared on Athlon Sports. When the New York Jets hired new head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey, the first port of call was to decide who was going to be the quarterback. Advertisement It clearly wasn't Aaron Rodgers with the four-time MVP winner cast aside, and Justin Fields came in via free agency. For most, a shoulder shrug move, but one that many could see the positives in. He's young, only signed a two-year, $40 million deal, so he's cheap, and he has upside after bouncing around from the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers. Plus, he's already been given the starting role, so there's no looking over his shoulder during training camp, which likely eases a lot of fears. Plus, he's also reunited with his Ohio State teammate, Garrett Wilson. For Gennaro Filice, the signing of Fields was a low-stakes bet to fix a big issue for the franchise. Advertisement "Now, these Jets face the same quarterback question that has defined most of the franchise's existence, but on that front, I can appreciate the new regime's first stab at addressing the issue," Filice writes. "Signing Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million deal, new GM Darren Mougey made a relatively low-stakes bet on a playmaker who gave Glenn some fits during his time as Detroit's defensive coordinator." Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields (2) runs with the Stratman-Imagn Images Seen by most as a win-win for the Jets, Fields comes to the Big Apple with everything to prove. Not able to hold down a starting role since entering the league, Fields comes to be the figurehead of Tanner Engstrand's unit and will look to show that he still has a future in the NFL as a New York could benefit from that. Advertisement Fields' two-year deal has an out after the 2025 season, meaning if things go south, the franchise can move on relatively unscathed. If it does work, they have Fields for "only" $20 million APY in 2026. A win-win. The quarterback position has long been one that has been a revolving door with Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, Zack Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Trevor Siemian, Mike White, Tim Boyle, and Joe Flacco all trying their hands at the position, all to no avail. Now it's Justin's turn to see if he can buck the trend. Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander goes full Allen Iverson in NBA Finals debut

The post Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander goes full Allen Iverson in NBA Finals debut appeared first on ClutchPoints. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander channeled Allen Iverson in his NBA Finals debut during Game 1 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers on Thursday night. Advertisement In 40 minutes of action, Gilgeous-Alexander was dominant to begin his time on the biggest NBA stage. He finished with 38 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. He shot 14-of-30 from the field, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. As a result, he joined Iverson when it comes to scoring a lot of points, per StatMuse. Iverson scored 48 points in his Finals debut, beating the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals. What's next for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder Alonzo Adams-Imagn Images Despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's remarkable efforts, the Thunder were unable to hold onto their lead as they lost 111-110 to the Pacers in Game 1. Advertisement The Thunder controlled the momentum throughout most of the game, responding to the Pacers' runs with timely shots. However, their luck ran out when Tyrese Haliburton made a game-winning 2-pointer with 0.3 seconds left on the game clock. That proved to be fatal as Oklahoma City now trails 1-0 in the series. What makes the loss sting even more was how active Oklahoma City was on the defensive side of the ball. They forced Indiana to commit 24 turnovers but only scored 11 points off them. The inability to take advantage of their opponents' mistakes was costly for the hosts as they temporarily lose homecourt advantage. Four players scored in double-digits on Oklahoma City's behalf, including Gilgeous-Alexander. Jalen Williams had 17 points, six assists, four rebounds, and a steal. He shot 6-of-19 overall, including 1-of-4 from downtown. Luguentz Dort came next with 15 points and four steals, while Alex Caruso provided 11 points, six rebounds and three steals. The Thunder will look to bounce back when they host the Pacers in Game 2. The contest will take place on June 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
