NFL Network Predicts Cowboys' 'Hogs' Will End Championship Drought
NFL Network Predicts Cowboys' 'Hogs' Will End Championship Drought originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Dallas Cowboys' left guard Tyler Smith knows the buck starts and stops with the offensive line under Brian Schottenheimer, and now, a 10-year NFL veteran is following suit with his thoughts.

After an offseason that saw Tyler Booker be drafted in the first round to "replace" Zack Martin, coupled with the expected improvement of Tyler Guyton, Cooper Beebe and Terence Steele, Dallas has a solid starting five to protect Dak Prescott.
Plus, with Conor Riley as the offensive line coach, along with coordinator Klayton Adams, the Cowboys have two coaches who know how to get the most out of the group.
As such, NFL veteran Leger Douzable believes that, due to the Cowboys' makeup along the line, Schottenheimer's team will break its NFC Championship drought.
"This is the one reason this Cowboys team will make it back to the conference championship, I know it's been 30 years, it's going to be the hogs up front," Douzable said on NFL Network. "If they can develop and mesh, this team has a chance to go to the conference championship."

My word, that is a big if, Mr. Douzable.

First off, we can't call Dallas linemen 'Hogs.' That's the classic Washington nickname and we're a bit bothered that NFL Network would commit that gaffe.
But with three first round picks along the line, and a center in Beebe who per Schottenheimer, already has command regarding checks made at the line of scrimmage, and the solid play (we hope) of Steele, this offensive line might be able to hold up in both the run and pass game to give Dak time to dissect defenses.
Granted, we aren't anointing them as anything yet, so we will hold fire, but training camp will be the first "proper" look at what Schottenheimer is dealing with.
And once real NFL bullets start flying, we can properly assess this offensive line that Douzable thinks will be the reason Dallas' infamous championship drought will end.

Tom Brady Makes His Opinion of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Extremely Clear
Tom Brady Makes His Opinion of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Extremely Clear originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NFL history, having won three MVP awards and a record seven Super Bowls. Advertisement Brady won six Super Bowls during his time with Bill Belichick and the Patriots, creating arguably the greatest dynasty the NFL has ever seen. After his New England tenure, Brady made his way to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning his final ring. But Brady has his eyes on other sports as well, including a young WNBA rivalry between Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clar and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. On Wednesday, Brady joined Bleacher Report for a phone interview while riding in the front seat of his car. Naturally, he was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of GOATs (greatest of all time). Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel ReeseTrevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images Although he didn't fully grasp the question, naming 11 players instead of four, Brady didn't hesitate to include Clark and Reese. Advertisement 'Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, this little thing they got going, I love that," Brady said. Among the nine other GOATs Brady listed are Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan (NBA), Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani (MLB), professional golfer Tiger Woods and Olympic medalist Michael Phelps. Clark and Reese have had quite the history since 2023, building one of the biggest rivalries in women's basketball. And it started in the 2023 National Championship, when Reese's LSU Tigers defeated Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes. Clark got her revenge in the Elite Eight the following year. The two have faced off five times early in their WNBA careers, with Clark holding a 4-1 edge. In their first meeting of 2025, the Fever won 93-58 in a game that featured an altercation between Clark and Reese, resulting in a flagrant foul and two technicals. Advertisement The Fever and Sky will meet for the second time this season on Saturday. However, Clark will remain sidelined after suffering a quad strain over a week ago. Inside Tom Brady's family trip to Japan filled with sumo wrestling, Labubus and more
Tom Brady treated his youngest kids to an unforgettable trip to Japan. The retired NFL player shared a series of photos from his trip with daughter Vivian, 12, and son Benjamin, 15, to his Instagram Monday. 'Japan we love you! We had SO MUCH FUN!' Brady, 47, captioned the post. 'Thank you for your hospitality and beauty!' The former New England Patriots quarterback praised Japan's 'amazing culture of honor, respect and discipline.' 'From the history, to the traditions, every day we learned and laughed and loved – the food, the shops, the people, the animals and everything in between!' he wrote. 'These trips shape us and remind us how much there is to learn when we step outside our routines and see the world together. Arigato gozaimasu!' He ended his note by writing in Japanese characters, 'Let's meet again.' Brady was seen enjoying several immersive activities with Vivian and Benjamin in the carousel of images. In one sweet snap, Vivian and Brady were seen with matching pink Labubu keychains. Another snap captured the family's view from a sumo wrestling match. Brady and his children smiled as they posed beneath a beautiful arch in another family pic. During their journey, they examined a samurai sword collection. They also dined on authentic Japanese cuisine as well as what looked like a massive bespoke tiramisu cake and a cheesy pizza pie. The trio looked at different kinds of animals, with Vivian holding a small hedgehog as her dad watched proudly and Benjamin looking at monkeys. They also visited Tokyo's teamLab Borderless Digital Art Museum and a beautiful indoor pool, and the father-daughter duo were seen taking a stroll in a bustling city street. Brady shares his two youngest kids with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2022. While Brady is seemingly single and playing the field, the former Victoria's Secret Angel, 44, moved on with Joaquim Valente and they welcomed a son together in February. It's unclear if Brady's eldest child, 17-year-old Jack — whom he shares with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan — tagged along for the Japan sojourn but he was not seen in any of the photos. Earlier this month, Vivian and Benjamin kicked off summer vacation with their dad in Europe. They went to Amsterdam and Germany. 'A quick stop in then kicking off summer break in ,' Brady wrote on Instagram June 4. 'Making memories that will last forever while experiencing these different cultures and LEARNING while we're at it!' he continued. 'Keep an eye out for my graffiti across Europe the res together way .'

Browns Make Massive Decision on Shedeur Sanders
The Cleveland Browns have made a massive decision on rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The team has announced that they have signed him to a contract worth $4.6 million over four years. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news on social media. Advertisement There were rumors going around that Sanders could be cut before training camp, but this news likely puts that to an end. Sanders will now be looking to compete for the starting quarterback job in Cleveland. The quarterback room for the Browns is very crowded, with multiple guys looking to go after the same job. Many expect veteran signal-caller Joe Flacco to be named the starter, but the backup job seems to be very open. Former first-round pick Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel round out the quarterback room for Cleveland. Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders walks off the field after rookie minicamp at CrossCountry Mortgage Blaze-Imagn Images Sanders was taken in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft after falling on draft weekend. Many saw him as a potential first-round draft pick, but quickly in the draft, it became clear that teams viewed him differently than initially expected. Advertisement At Colorado last season, Sanders threw for 4134 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His performance set off major interest from NFL teams and generated a ton of draft buzz. Sanders was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year for the season, earning more accolades along the way. The Buffalos went 9-4 last season, ultimately losing in the Alamo Bowl to BYU. Even if Sanders doesn't earn the backup spot for the Browns, his presence on the team could be electric. The amount of coverage that Cleveland will get makes his draft pick worth it, and he could always surprise people to become the starter one day.
