Cisco powers secure infrastructure for the AI era
Enterprises are under pressure to accelerate secure AI adoption and drive value from AI investments, said Cisco in a statement.
To help organizations meet these opportunities, Cisco continues to reimagine the datacenters and workplaces of the future, it stated.
"Cisco is delivering the critical infrastructure for the AI era—secure networks and experiences, optimized for AI that connect the world and power the global economy," remarked Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer, Cisco.
"We're witnessing an unprecedented surge in innovation as organizations embrace agentic AI to automate workflows and solve complex problems. Cisco has a rich history of helping companies run their infrastructure; today, we're building on that foundation to power the next generation of AI," he added.
Patrick Milligan, chief information security officer, Ford Motor Company, said: "Agentic AI is being used across Ford's business, from design to engineering to manufacturing and for customer support."
"As we build, deploy, and manage sophisticated AI capabilities at scale, Cisco's networking and security solutions are an important part of the overall technology infrastructure," he explained.
At Cisco Live, Cisco unveiled a wide range of new products and enhancements to help customers navigate the shift to agentic AI, including:
Workplaces for the age of AI: Creating an intelligent workplace relies on modern network infrastructure that adapts to increased traffic, ensures always-on access, and delivers robust security. Meanwhile, organizations must empower people to work smarter and more effectively than ever. To meet these demands, Cisco announced new devices to power campus, branch, and industrial networks, and AI-powered unified management to help organizations move past reactive workflows to conducting autonomous, proactive network management.
Simplified Operations for the age of AI with AgenticOps: Cisco is unveiling multiple AI-driven solutions to empower IT teams with simplicity, and automation, including Cisco AI Canvas, an industry-first generative user interface for real-time collaboration between network and security operations teams, and the Cisco AI Assistant, which provides conversational control across the Cisco suite.
Data Centers for the age of AI: Cisco unveiled continued innovation in its compute and network solutions for datacenters to support agentic AI, which places a premium on network bandwidth, latency, and power efficiency. To help drive adoption of AI solutions to strengthen the power grid, Cisco is joining the EPRI Open Power AI Consortium.
Security for the age of AI: Robust security has never been more critical, as enterprises navigate the complexity of a growing number of applications, a highly distributed and mobile workforce, and sophisticated AI-driven threats. Cisco is introducing innovations across its Hybrid Mesh Firewall and Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) offerings; announced two new Firewalls, the 6100 series and 200 series.
Digital Resilience at the Core: Several AI innovations, including enhanced capabilities in Splunk Observability Cloud and Splunk AppDynamics, along with deeper integrations between Cisco and Splunk solutions, are helping customers gain greater visibility into network health and performance. Key updates include a bidirectional integration between Splunk Observability, Cisco ThousandEyes Assurance and Cisco Enterprise Networks, enabling more resilient, insight-driven digital operations.
Unified Management for the age of AI: The company is previewing Cisco Cloud Control, a new unified management platform spanning Cisco's networking, security, and observability portfolios. Cisco Cloud Control will offer a cohesive experience anchored by AI native tools like Cisco AI Canvas, and the Cisco AI Assistant.

These Are The Best-Selling Cars In The US So Far In 2025
The first half of 2025's best-selling cars in the U.S. confirms America's long-standing love affair with trucks and SUVs. Pickup models from Ford, Chevrolet, and Ram continue to dominate the top ranks, while compact SUVs from Toyota and Honda also make strong showings. Sedans, once the default choice for many households, are now largely absent from the bestseller list. This ranking, via Visual Capitalist's Niccolo Conte, showcases the 20 best-selling vehicles in the U.S. from January through June 2025 using data from Cox Automotive and Automotive News via Kelley Blue Book. With 3.17 million cars sold across America's top 20 models in the first half of 2025, pickup trucks and SUVs dominate the top of the list, making up nine out of the top 10 most-sold cars. The data table below lists the top 20 car models and their sales figures for H1 2025, along with what kind of vehicle it is. Ford's F-Series led with 412,848 units, with the Chevrolet Silverado close behind at 284,038. The Toyota RAV4 (239,451) and Honda CR-V (212,561) were the leading compact SUVs, reflecting the segment's broad appeal. If you take a look at the best-selling cars by state, the Ford F-Series dominates the map, which is no surprise considering Ford is among the top three favorite car brands of every generation in America. Among the top 10 best-selling cars, pickups account for five spots and about 56% of volume, while SUVs take four spots and 36%. The top five models—three pickups and two compact SUVs—together make up about 42% of all top-20 sales. Sedans claim just one place in the top 10 with the Toyota Camry at 155,330 units sold in America in the first half of 2025. The Honda Civic (128,236) and Toyota Corolla (120,052) follow just outside of the top 10, joined by Tesla's Model 3 (101,323) in 17th place. Looking at the full top 20 sales by vehicle type, SUVs account for 47% of top-20 sales (1.49 million vehicles), followed by pickup trucks at 37% (1.17 million) and sedans at 16% (505,000). While sedans still find buyers, since 2015 a strong majority of car sales have continued to shift to crossovers and trucks. Stocks cautious before tariff updates, US inflation data
Equity markets moved little in cautious European and US trading Monday as investors await key US inflation data this week that could offer guidance on rate cuts long sought by President Donald Trump. Reports that chip giants Nvidia and AMD would give Washington a 15-percent cut of the revenue from AI sales to China also bolstered expectations of a new pause on Washington's tariffs against China. "The market seems very relaxed ahead of tomorrow's deadline on US-China trade talks, reflecting the assumption an extension is in the offing and a deal will eventually be reached," said AJ Bell investment director Russ Mould. Also in view is a high-stakes summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday in Alaska, which could pave the way for a Ukraine ceasefire and ease tough Western sanctions against Moscow. London's FTSE 100 index edged higher but Paris and Frankfurt closed lower, pulled down in particular by defence stocks as investors calculated the chances of an end to the Ukraine key Wall Street indices came under moderate pressure after the Nasdaq climbed to another record high on Friday, bolstered by solid earnings from tech giants in particular. "Markets are bracing for a surprisingly busy week, with several key events and data releases likely to shape sentiment," notably US inflation, said Jim Reid, managing director at Deutsche Bank. The US consumer price index on Tuesday could provide grist for Trump's campaign against Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell. Powell has been in the president's crosshairs over his refusal to cut interest rates while awaiting the impact of Trump's tariffs blitz on the economy.
