Aion 2 finally gets an official announcement from NCSoft after some years of silence and speculation in the rare fabled MMORPG series. Something that lived through much of the Twilight epoch of the original is now no mere nostalgic homage but a true reinvention.
Being reborn with fresh technology, global ambitions, and a sprawling universe, the game seems starved of nothing reinvigorated to go along with the powers in the MMO arena.
A Global Launch with a Strategic Twist
NCSoft said differently from most breaking the mold and bringing the player base itself together, Aion 2 will see a global launch in the second half of 2025. This is a stark departure from the usual staggered releases when the West would have to wait for months after the Korean Premier.
From the late part of 2025, in the meantime, before the global launch, a soft launch for just the Korean region shall occur to gather feedback and ensure the stability.
Having two faces of a launch means the studio is very confident and wants to have a more refined and community-led entry into the modern monument life landscape. Open betas, live streams, and teaser content will be released to keep the hype going up until the release.

Reimagining the Legacy: A Complete Vision
In NCSoft's words, Aion 2 is the version of the game they never could have built in 2008 as it's been their dream version of the game all along. Now, with more than a decade of technological leaps, they're finally on the verge of bringing that vision to reality. The next chapter takes place in a devastated landscape, with the Tower of Aion already in ruins, with the Daevas that were once unstoppable still not sure how to reclaim their power.
Asmodians, who had for years been depicted as the more evil and sinister, now had a more equal scenario, beautiful design to break free from the dated good-vs-evil binary. In a really unexpected twist, every race will actually play on their own servers, with cross-faction battle encouraged through matchmaking and dimensional rift events, leading to exciting, player-created, faction warfare.
So, naturally, one of the most exhilarating returns is the refined flying system.
No more are the times of crowded or restrictive airspace. Aion 2 features a world 36 times larger than the original, with flight completely unchained in every area on land, sea, and air. Few MMORPGs can match this incredible new freedom to completely transform exploration, combat, and even mobility as you know it.
Classes and Classic Features
At launch, Aion 2 will launch with eight highly varied classes, including familiar staples like Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, and Cleric.
Every class still has access to that classic role, with more defined skills and talents tailored for today's combat mechanics. Skills and gear progression are 100% gameplay-driven.

Character creation has gotten a big overhaul too, with more than 200 customization options. From gritty fighters to cartoonish goofballs, the system delivers both substance and style for gamers who enjoy customizing their personalities. Aion 2 reintroduces many classic PvE features that players loved. Look forward to solo and group dungeons, dynamic world events, and instances beloved by fans such as the Temple of Fire.

Chunky Panday reveals he was once paid to attend a funeral: 'There was no source of income at the time'

Chunky Panday revealed he was once paid to attend a funeral, mistakenly thinking it was a regular event. The organiser told him, 'Agar aap royenge na, toh thoda zyada paisa milega' (If you cry, you will be paid more). Another actor cried and earned ₹50,000 extra. Chunky Panday recently appeared in Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 5, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar , Riteish Deshmukh , Abhishek Bachchan , Nana Patekar among others. He is also seen in the film 'Detective Sherdil', sharing the screen with Boman Irani , Ratna Pathak Shah, and Diljit Dosanjh. The story centers on the themes of ambition and the lust for power and wealth. Recently, in an interview, Chunky amusingly told how he once attended a funeral solely to make some extra cash. Early Career Struggles and Misunderstanding In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Chunky reflected on a memorable experience from earlier in his career. He admitted, 'That was my mistake. Yes, I attended the funeral, but not out of choice. See, in those days, there was no source of income for actors besides going to events or doing movies. There was no YouTube, Instagram, or even ads at that time, as it was a different era." He revealed that an event organiser once invited him to attend a brief event, asking him to wear white, which he assumed was simply the dress code. However, when he arrived, he realized it was actually a funeral, and the crowd was surprised to see him there. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo The Funeral Incident and Payment Offer The actor shared a surprising experience from the event, recalling, 'I suddenly saw a dead body in front of me and thought the organiser had passed away.' He soon learned that he was actually there for a funeral. Feeling unable to react in such a solemn moment, the organiser joked, 'Agar aap royenge na, toh thoda zyada paisa milega'. Since Chunky isn't very emotional, he chose not to cry to avoid bursting into laughter. However, another actor at the funeral cried extensively and reportedly received an additional ₹50,000 for it. About 'Detective Sherdil' 'Detective Sherdil' blends mystery with dark comedy and has been praised for its engaging plot and Diljit's fresh portrayal of a detective character. The ensemble cast also includes Sumeet Vyas , Banita Sandhu, and Kashmira Irani.

Singer Sangeeth on 'Chotta Mumbai' re-release and ‘Nombaram Kalayum Naalam Nee': The response has been overwhelming, I'd call it nothing short of a miracle

Mohanlal's 'Chotta Mumbai' is experiencing a resurgence, particularly the song 'Thala,' where singer Sangeeth's brief stanza has captured widespread attention. Sangeeth, a former Super Singer winner, expresses his excitement over the overwhelming response to his lines, which he describes as a blessing. Another song from the film, though initially cut, is also gaining popularity on social media. In Mollywood, it's becoming a trend for evergreen films to make a comeback and create waves once more. From Devadoothan to Manichithrathazhu, these classics continue to offer unmatched cinematic experiences for film lovers. Now, joining that list is Mohanlal's 2007 hit Chotta Mumbai. But this time, it's not the film itself stealing the spotlight—it's a song, or more specifically, a single stanza from it that's topping the charts all over again. Yes, you heard that right. In the film's iconic high-energy track Thala, there's a brief four-line segment that completely transforms the mood of the song—thanks to the soulful voice of singer Sangeeth. As the track resurged in popularity across social media, we caught up with the former Super Singer winner to hear his thoughts on the overwhelming response. 'No words… I'm truly overwhelmed by the response. It feels like a real blessing. The film is being celebrated again, and the song—especially my lines—feels like pure bliss. Those four lines… that's where Sangeeth lives in it,' the singer shared with excitement. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo The singer, who recently watched the film during its 4K re-release, shared that he was deeply moved by the audience's reaction in the theatre. 'I watched the movie at Kavitha Theatre, and when the song came on, it turned into a full-blown celebration. People were singing along and completely immersed in the moment—it was overwhelming. Experiencing the song, along with the background score, in such enhanced sound quality was truly something else. All credit goes to music director Rahul Raj ," he said. Reflecting on his experience recording the song, Sangeeth revealed that it came as a complete surprise to him at the time. 'Soon after winning Super Star, I got a call from the channel about a singing opportunity. I assumed it was for some show. But when they told me it was for a Mohanlal movie, I was beyond thrilled. I went to the studio to record Poonilamazha Nanayum, and it went well. Just as I was about to leave, Rahul Raj asked if I'd like to try singing a small stanza from another song. Why would I say no? So I sang that part too. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine those four lines would be celebrated like this years later. The full song was sung by the legendary Shankar Mahadevan , and for someone like him, those lines would've been a breeze. But by sheer luck, Rahul wanted to try it in my voice. That song gave me a life,' he said. Not to forget, there was another song in the Chotta Mumbai album—a romantic track sung by Sangeeth and Sangeetha Prabhu. Although the song didn't make it to the final cut of the movie, it has recently found a second life on social media, especially gaining traction on Instagram reels. 'Thanks to social media, this song didn't go completely unnoticed. Even though it wasn't included in the movie, it got attention on FM stations during the film's release. But now, thanks to Instagram, the song has made a comeback. Fan-made videos have breathed new life into it. I feel truly blessed—it's rare for an artist to receive recognition all over again for something they recorded years ago. I'd honestly call it a miracle,' he concluded.

James Gunn Says The Batman 2 is ‘Really Important' Amid Rumors of Robert Pattinson Starrer Being Axed, Can We See Script Shortly?

James Gunn has addressed the rumors around the upcoming Batman movie. Amid promoting Superman, the DC chief shared that The Batman II is an 'important' film in the trilogy, and the reports of the movie being axed are for fans. With Gunn's statements, fans know that Robert Pattinson will soon return as his iconic character, while Matt Reeves will take the director's chair. It is a long wait for the fans of the Batman franchise, as the second installment will release 5 years after the first film. Pattinson donned the superhero suit for the first time in the 2022 film, The Batman. James Gunn reflects on The Batman II While sitting down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly, James Gunn went on to share that the Batman trilogy is extremely important to him, as well as the franchise. Elaborating on the statement, the director said, 'What Matt's doing is still really important, despite all stories to the contrary.' He further added, 'We're supposed to see that script shortly, and I can't wait.' Previously, on the press tour of Mickey 17, Pattinson, too, expressed his excitement about getting back into the black suit. He said, 'I started out as young Batman and I'm going to be f*cking old Batman by the sequel. … I'm 38. I'm old.' In his conversation with Variety during the promotions of his last film, the Twilight star went on to mention that he was about to start filming the sequel to his 2022 movie by the end of 2025. 'And I know what it's about but I can't tell anyone. But it's very cool. It's very exciting.' James Gunn addresses delay in release of the Batman film Meanwhile, reflecting on the delay in the release of the new Batman film, Gunn stated on his social media, 'To be fair, a 5-year gap or more is fairly common in sequels. 7 years between 'Alien' and 'Aliens.' 14 years between 'Incredibles.' 7 years between the first two 'Terminators.' 13 years between 'Avatars.' 36 years between 'Top Guns.' And, of course, 6 years between 'Guardians Vol 2' and 'Vol 3.'' In a separate post, the DC head also went on to mention that Matt Reeves is dedicated to presenting the perfect film. 'Once there is a finished script, there is around two years for pre-production, shooting and post-production on big films,' added Gunn. As for Superman, the David Corenswet starrer will release in theaters on July 11.
