More Fairphone 6 official-looking images leak
Fairphone 6 in Forest Green
The Fairphone 6 has an easily removable lower back cover which makes the battery accessible for quick removal - although this isn't glued, you will have to remove some screws to get it out.
Other components that are easy to replace include all three cameras, the display, and the module housing the speaker and USB port at the bottom. Interestingly, you'll be able to order a lower back cover in whatever color you want, so you could pair a white phone with a green cover or something like that if you wanted.

The device has a 6.31-inch P-OLED LTPO screen with 1-120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC at the helm, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of expandable storage, and a 4,415 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.
Fairphone 6 in Cloud White
There's also a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button, and IP55 certification for dust and water resistance. The phone is rumored to cost €550.

Renders of Pixelsnap cases show Qi2 wireless charging support for all Pixel 10 models, Fold included
The magnets help align the charging coils in the phone and the wireless charger, allowing the process to work at optimal efficiency. Misaligned coils can lead to energy loss, thus increasing the time it takes to charge the device. Leaked images published by Dutch online publication NieuweMobiel are said to show Pixelsnap cases, and the ring inside the cases would seem to confirm that magnetic wireless charging is coming to the new Pixels, which will be unveiled on August 20th during the upcoming Made by Google event. Wireless charging speeds are expected to be 15W for the Pixel 10 phones although Qi2 wireless charging for these handsets could be as high as 23W. The Pixel 9 series' top wireless charging speed of 21W was achieved with the Google Pixel Stand (2nd Gen). Qi charging for last year's Pixels were capped at 12W. Render of Pixel 10 case. Note the ring on the inside of the case. | Image credit-NieuweMobiel With rumored specs for the Pixel 10 models showing the new phones weighing more than their predecessors, it doesn't take a giant leap of faith to consider that the extra weight could be due to the placement of magnets inside these devices. Another theory is that the extra weight is coming from larger capacity batteries placed inside the Pixel 10 line. Heck, perhaps the new handsets will have embedded magnets AND larger batteries. We can always dream, can't we? The Pixelsnap cases for the Pixel 10 models contain another "M" besides magnets. That is microfiber, which helps to protect the phones inside the cases. The cases will supposedly be available in the same colors as the phones. Those colors include: Indigo (Blue) Obsidian (Black) Limoncello (green) Frost (Light Blue) Okay, Pixel people and potential Pixel people, we are less than a week away from the unveiling. I'm getting excited since I'm beginning to feel the lure of the Pixel 10 drawing me away from my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Yes, I will admit that AI is a major reason why I might be returning to the Pixel ecosystem this year.

Counterpoint: European foldable market to grow sharply
According to Counterpoint Research (CR), the European foldable smartphone market is growing rapidly, having increased shipments by 37% in 2024 compared to 2023. Even so, foldables still only represent around 2% of the overall European smartphone market. Interestingly, the main sales driver is book-style devices, and not flip-style ones. Book-style foldable sales increased 60% year-on-year (YoY) in 2024. And yet, book-style foldables still only represent around 1% of the overall smartphone market. In 2022, Samsung took 98% of the foldable device market in Europe, but by the end of 2023 its share shrunk to 73% as Honor, Google, OnePlus, and Tecno entered the market. This trend continued in 2024, with the largest impact being made by Honor. And so, in 2024, Samsung only had 50% of the market, despite growing its sales by 10%. In second place was Honor, at 34% share, with a whopping 377% growth YoY. Google was third with 9% and 72% growth, Oppo was in fourth with 4% of the pie and a 10% growth, and Tecno rounded out the top five with 2% share after an 88% growth. Its market share collapse in Europe may in part explain why Samsung decided to actually make the Galaxy Z Fold7 more competitive this year, but the Honor Magic V5 is coming to Europe this month and will bring the fight right back to Samsung. Google's Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be released in October, and the big elephant in the room is Apple, now rumored to release its first folding iPhone in late 2026. Thus, CR expects foldables "to take an increasingly larger share of the premium segment from next year". In the first half of this year, foldable sales in Europe dropped on account of there being no new releases, but this should change in the second half and the growth should accelerate in 2026. By 2028, CR predicts foldable smartphone sales will reach almost 4 million per year in Europe, surpassing 2% of total smartphone sales for the first time in history. And when it comes to the premium segment alone (defined as devices selling for $800 and above), foldables are said to reach almost 10% of sales, potentially even higher in key markets like the UK and Germany. Asus launches Android 16 Beta program for Zenfone 12 Ultra
Ro, 14 August 2025 Asus launched the Zenfone 12 Ultra earlier this year, and the phone is now getting its first Android 16 Beta. In case you have enrolled in the beta program, of course, which is a straightforward process, especially compared to other brands. To enroll in the A16 Beta program, go to Settings > System > System update > tap on the gear icon > Enroll in Android preview program. You don't have to be a community member or wait for approvals. It also doesn't seem like the program is limited to a certain number of users. Even though it feels like Asus is a bit late to the party, as most other manufacturers have already launched their Beta programs, that doesn't necessarily mean the developers' team will be late with the final and stable update this fall once Android 16 officially launches. After all, Asus has only one 2025 model to take care of. Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra 512GB 16GB RAM £ 854.63 Source
